Well she had the money to be buried in London with the star's but chose to go home to her humble beginnings . She defiantly was no snob may she RIP.

Like it matters where you are buried. When you die money doesn t matter anymore. Same worms will bite your eyes if you are rich or not. In death we are all the same.

@@wolf3104 it matters to the person to know before death where they will be put to rest. It also matters to the deceased family. I'm surprised you need this explaining to you, not surprised you didn't get any likes however. Try to grow some understanding. I don't suppose many people will visit your grave.

I agree vandalism is horrible, imagine what their homes must look like. It is always sad in these old graveyards to see how many infants died 🥹

Nah. I live in Tintwistle, weathers usually ok to good in the Spring and Summer months. Winters are cold and wet but no more than other places in the Derbyshire High Peak.

I did not like Vivienne Westwood's fashion designs, but I listened to an interview with her on the radio, and she seemed really nice, very polite and humble, and I like her grave, it is simple and pretty. RIP Vivienne.

Great creepy old church and fabulous views, Vivienne is in Tintwistle churchyard high peak Borough Derby’s apparently . The stones in the little churchyard you showed are in great condition considering how exposed they are

This was a lovely little unexpected church ! Shame vandals still have to try and spoil things….what did they hope to find? All looks a bit precarious built on that slope…..hope they don’t all slide downhill at some point! Wish you could keep a torch in your pocket or your mobile phone light….shine sideways across the writing it’s much more legible, and I love to read the inscriptions , like many of us do. , that’s if you have time. Her grave is so simple, like creeping moss, very her, Malcom mcclarens on the other hand is exactly the opposite but I do like it, it’s very rock and roll, the coolest headstone I’ve ever seen. I was on the Isle of Skye going to see Flora McDonald’s grave and was dumbfounded when I came across Alexander McQueens grave in the small graveyard, very fitting and I can see why, his mother and him had an avid interest in Scots history. 🖤

The word may have Irish origins maybe, I'm from Lancashire heard the word navvy a lot

My only memory of Vivienne Westwood was when she appeared on The Terry Wogan Show dressed in a pink romper suit that you'd normally see a baby in. The audience burst into laughter when they saw her, making her very angry. She actually threatened to walk off the show if they didn't stop laughing.

Not uncommon for even wealthy celebrities or TV personalities to have quite understated graves here in UK compared to the grand old memorials of the wealthy families, quite sad isolated lives celebrities have, few genuine close friends

in relation to graveyards, I have great respect for the need for somewhere for people to mourn and grieve for their dead, but in the great cycle of nature shouldn't dogs, vultures and eagles have our bones ? Personally I wouldn't mind being laid out on a mountain-top in one of those ancient Indian-ceremonies of old.
