It’s a scientific fact that most humans do not reach full maturity until 25. She was basically a child that needed to be protected from the demons that ultimately killed her. Very tragic. 😢

I can tell who's Gia and who's Cindy. Gia had bigger eyes than Cindy and Gia was more beautiful than Cindy Crawford. Even without make-up on...That's my opinion.

I’m a huge fan of hers. I hated that Gia movie with Angelina. She looks nothing like her, didn’t act like her, and it was probably the worst casting I’ve ever seen in a bigger movie. Her mom was so upset I saw her on tv. I think Emily Ratajowski would be much better in a new version, or Kaia Gerber. Cindy Crawford always looked like Gia , in fact I heard they called her baby Gia

In the modeling industry, Cindy Crawford was referred to as “Baby Gia” when she started out. Gia was beautiful, talented and incredibly damaged by her home life and the industry.

I watched the movie when it came out. Great film. I became aware of Gia after that. My mom died of AIDS from drug abuse. That's another reason I was interested in her story. Thanks for such a great tribute to her.

I find Gia Carangi fascinating yet tragic. She came into modeling when it was just blonde and blue-eyed models back in the 70's. She and Janice Dickinson changed all of that. I still own the Self-Destruction of Gia DVD documentary. I also read Thing of Beauty and of course watched Gia starring Angelina Jolie.
