So grapeful for your videos, it’s great how you squeeze so much into them. If only you could bottle it ….😁😁

It looks so complex. It took me a while to figure out what was happening in this one. It’s definitely a favourite move now.
Insanely detailed and thorough breakdown, very helpful!

So glad it helped 🍇🤩
I’ve seen other grapevines make the toe-toe part look like more of a chocktaw/pigeon toe transition but yours looks simpler
@Skatie

Absolutely there are loads of variations. The toe to toe position is more of a matrix position and as you say it’s hard.
Love this! Your puns are the raisin I follow your tutorials 😂

It’s so hard to see what’s going on when it’s done at full speed. I love have it floats across the floor. 💕💕
Absolute queen! Thankyou so much for this, I’ve been skating for 3 years and could never figure out the flow on my own u til now Thankyou ❤❤❤

I’m so glad it’s helped. It’s one of those moves that looks impossible until it’s broken down.
You do such a great job breaking down these advanced moves into small parts to drill. Can’t wait to practice these later! 🫧🛼🛼

Katie are you a mind reader ? I was going to ask for tips on this exact move !😊This move has been my nemesis for 2 years.....with your great explanation I think I'll finally get it.....Tuesday this will be my drill session, with this video in hand! Thankyou!.👍

Awesome breakdown! I've been trying to get this for years! Now, I know what the problem is.... The toe-toe manuel! I'm determined to get it. So, I'll be hanging on to a chair for awhile! But you gave me the confidence and the knowledge to do it! Thank you!

You can do it. Some of it is building up strength to hold that toe toe position, be patient with yourself. Practice little and often and it will come xx
Very nice 🙂

The grapevine has so many different styles. The one in my area, East Coast of the US, uses the double toe manual for the duration of the trick, so the heels don’t touch the ground. Then it’s just made to look like a continuous swirling motion. The way my buddy, Josiah, can actually do this all the way around into a 360 while making it look as if his legs are simply floating beneath him. The man is super talented. It’s cool how skating styles can be so different, almost like accents. Edited for wording

Is this move easier to learn on smaller wheels? I got like 62mm VNLA wheels and most people I see balancing on toes have smaller wheels in diameter and width. I would appreciate some help if anybody knows :D. There aren't too many roller skating resources online regarding wheels unfortunately.
@Skatie

I have a video called does size matter and that explains the benefits of a smaller wheel for these types of skills.
Необычно красиво

I’ve been trying to do it but I was just turning back and forth and wasn’t doing the open book turn!
@Skatie
Жыл бұрын
It’s one of those moves that just looks crazy complex until you realise it’s actually just an over book turn!!
Soo I have a quick question, you can take your toe stoppers off to learn better?
@Skatie
Жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely. If you’re finding they’re hitting the ground in these types of moves you can remove them but make sure you have a couple of good ways of stopping without stoppers before you take them out.

Make sure to really drill the standing version of the toe toe this will help you gain confidence to do it rolling too.
