Then you obviously haven't watched any of the Chris Harris segements, which are honestly better than anything ever done on old Top Gear. People are just biased because they got used to these three for 20 seasons, but forget how HORRIBLE they were in the first few seasons. Last season of Top gear was infinitely better than the first season with May, Clarkson and Hammond.

+derbigpr500 it really wasn't, as Chris Evans had about as much charisma as a plank of wood, plus the new series had a much bigger budget possibly to make up for the fact that Evans was incredibly annoying! Plus Le Blanc could've been great but just didn't suit they through together a ton of presenters to do a job that only took 3 people! Quality not quantity!

They're funny because they DO hosts late night shows from time to time. Well.. At least was guest host. Clarkson was a guest host for Have I Got News for You while Hammond and James hosted more of factual but some times hilarious shows like how Hammond hosted Brainiac and May hosted James May's Cars For The People series.

That's what people can't understand. It HAS to be scripted. Sometimes they have to do things over and over to get all of film for the show. There has to be things set up ahead of time, but you can tell when they're not on script- they're hilarious, and you can tell they're mates. What these 3 have is a chemistry that can't be replicated. That's just fact.

Can't buy it, but you can certainly build it up. Look back on the second series of Top Gear, and you'll find that the chemistry was completely lacking. It was awkward, and you'd certainly be hardpressed to believe there was actually any chemistry between the three.

It's first season was lived out mostly in obscurity until some religious group made a very public fuss about it. Every single thing these guys do is entertaining. They can be sitting at a table just talking and it would be enjoyable. They've impacted so many people and got a lot of us through tough times by just entertaining and putting a smile on out faces.
