I’ve personally been robbed by the police and couldn’t do anything about it, the next day I tried finding out who was on duty at the time and was told to piss off. They’re a disgrace.

That bit James muttered at about 11:00 is priceless. I love him for that reason. So sensible and thoughtful about real life. Now. Not then or what could be. Captain Slow will always be my favorite character of this series while bit.

James opinion on advice and his given advice from 11:00 - 11:40 really are great pieces of advice.While they each have their charms that I love. James May just speaking his mind on any topic is always worth listening to.

The BBC must be really pissed to see how popular these guys and their programs are.

​@@mmolukibafana8455Yes, we know Botswana is in Africa. He's saying that Hammond had Oliver in the Botswana special, not the Africa special. They were seperate films. Hammond drove a blue Subaru WRX in the Africa special.

I am dead honest, I'm 30 years old and recovering from depression and an burnout at my job. And the advise from James May actually made me cry a bit. Don't throw your life away with an pointless job. Money won't make you happy.

I hope the new episode is at least 8hrs long!!! I could watch these 3 get up to what they do for hours, love it!!!

I’d love to see an episode/special live streamed. The whole thing a la Truman Show. Crew, locals, Andy and trio.

No Hammond, we all love Oliver the Opel because we love watching how you heroically mended it after it floated a bit, and how it humiliated the other 2 cars with no modifications required. It remains one of my favorite episodes of all time! You were genuinely happy driving that cheery little car and somehow that reaches through time and media and made us happy as well.

The only time to be alive is when you’re currently living, but with that being said, I feel fortunate to be able to see these people doing their part to make the world shine. Great part of human history.

The one with the French police wasn't the ferrari one, it was the perfect road trip when they had an Aston and a porsche

I love how philosophical James has become, even more now than before, and the advice he gave to say to young people is genuinely brilliant! Times are changing and you should always do what makes you happy

I love these guys, what a team. I think they're episode, 'Motorcycle Challenge ' in Vietnam is the best episode ever. So funny and so beautiful.

I would buy a coffee table book, for up to $300, of the Top Gear and GT road trips (whether they were spread throughout a show or dedicated Special). Something with great images, synopses, and anecdotes by all four of them.

I've been on Bolivia's 'death road', and it's not really that bad. I've been on far more sketchy roads than that in other parts of South America, in parts of the US and Canada, and in China. The main thing that made the 'Death Road' (past tense because another road has been built across the valley from it that's wider) dangerous was the volume of traffic on it.

The only advise I give to younger people is this. Comport yourself with integrity and honesty. Don’t lie about things even if you think the consequences will hurt you because in the short run they will but long after you will not have to fight the demons that’ll emerge. If you own your mistakes early on and keep promises made that character will always be revered and remembered by those that know you.

I've got a great Police encounter abroad, check this... 1996 Playa da les America's 2nd night was walking back to her apartment 530ish am, stopped off in a lane where she got on her knees. A cop walked round started to pee then we spotted each other and he bundled me in the cop car with his colleague and they drove me most of the way up the volcano shouting that im disrespecting their Island, took my money and let me walk back which took hrs. I honestly thought they were going to kill me.😮😅

I love these guys. I remember almost torturing my teen daughter (not for real, just laughing!) by switching to BBC every sunday. At the beginning she wqs angry at me for having stopped another program, but, as soon as she began to watch, she was loving Top Gear more and more. And now, she's a Vet doctor (wild animals) and she loves cars ;) Always tries to find an excuse to exchange her car for my M3 comptetition :)

I'd modify Oliver a little bit. Fix that missing chrome on the rear, get some real brakes installed, either overhaul and modify the engine or replace it with something roughly as old as the car, but definitely keep the outside authentic, just a little bit nicer. Don't go crazy with it, Oliver must stay Oliver... but he does need some minor upgrades.

13:30... Plus, James will turn up on a donkey with a litter behind to affect the rescue.

BTW, the video is EXCELLENT but the huge "Jeremy Arrested!" Is a bit of a cheat. Bad, very bad communication. When you have those 3 guys, you don't need to exaggerate, just write their 3 names and you'll get your views. Without cheating and taking us for fools.
