Our Sikkim tour was unexpectedly cancelled at the last moment, but instead of letting disappointment take hold, we embraced the opportunity to explore Nepal's diverse landscapes. Our new journey began with a dilemma: where should we go instead? Suggestions were tossed around-Nagarkot, Kalinchowk, Sukute, Gosaikunda and many others. After much deliberation, we settled on an exhilarating journey towards Gosaikunda, and it turned out to be one of the best decision ever.
Gosaikunda is a sacred place located at an elevation of 4,380 m (14,370 ft) in the Rasuwa District. The Gosaikunda area has been delineated as a religious site. Hindu mythology attributes Gosaikunda as the abode of the Hindu deities Shiva and Gauri.
Duration: 4 Days, 3 Nights
Cost: Rs. 8000 per person
Itinerary:
Day 1:
▶7 hours Bus Ride from Kathmandu to Dhunche(cost: Rs. 850 per person)
▶arrived Dhunche around 2 PM
▶Trek for 4 hours to reach the Deurali (accommodation: Rs. 1000 per night including dinner)
Day 2:
▶Hike from Deurali to Gosaikunda (accommodation: Rs. 1600 per night including dinner)
▶started hike at 8 AM
▶reached Gosaikunda around 7 PM
Day 3:
▶Return trek from Gosaikunda to Dhunche (accommodation: Rs. 800 per night including dinner)
Day 4:
▶Return back to home
