"Stupid beasts!" Margot delivers simple lines with such humorous grace!
As a gardener who has witnessed such crops more than once my heart went out to them.
The way Jerry lowers his voice in his own house as he talks about the penthouse flat..brill.
love this show thanks for uploading. ive had them on the old vhs for many yrs and never tire watching them.
I grew up watching British comedies of the 70s and 80s, lived in the US for 7 years and saw the comedies there too; believe me the latter were far better written. Moreover, "The Good LIfe" was ahead of its time, hats off to the writer, producers, and most of all, the actors and actresses who were doing what must have seemed "weird" to them at that time.

Haha, oh my gosh. I love all this stuff, Good Life, Blackadder, Thin Blue Line, Monty Python and i'm only thirteen.
Brandy....Whisky....Port, Sambucca......TURPS??? Lol
Penelope Keith looks so attractive!!
the carrots and potatoes Tom held out is on the market these days as 'ORGANIC' They have small stuff like that...and boy theyre expensive!
They're adorable. But is rest and relaxation really the key to help their crops grow larger?
Perhaps the harvest was relevant adjusting their nutritional need, not a disaster indeed.
@starlight76able > probably by a small Hoover washer spinner combo popular at the time (my mum had one for years), and then hung outside, or all over the kichen. you wheeled it over to the sink and hooked hoses up to the taps. the washer could handle two pairs of jeans and a couple of shirts in a load, unfortunately, the spinner could only spin one pair of jeans at a time. i never ever complain about doing laundry thinking what my mum and gran had to do, and for way more people too.
yes thats exactly what she said. ! first she mouthed...'whats the matter with them' then she mouthed'have you been rude' :) And jerry mouthed back'no i havent!' ")
Tom was a bit Like Martin Bryce at the star of this episode with his sulking and his "Hallo!" comment
Love Margo! Peneleope is the SHIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!
Margo: I've finished Tom: I've finished as well Margo: Have you finished Jerry? Jerry: Yes, thank you darling. Margo (again): And I've finished too. Barbara didn't say anything!

I thought it was called The Good Neighbours. It's been many decades. I'm probably getting senile.

the title was changed in the USA when it was shown over there.....
This was such a good show, too bad it was a BBC series, 4 series, and only 30 episodes. In the United States we produce many more episodes per year. The Partridge Family had 4 series as well, and 96 episodes.

In the UK we go for quality over quantity with sitcoms. In the UK sitcom writing is still a cottage industry, it's one or two people who come up with the idea and write all the episodes. It maintains high quality and consistency and the writers don't have to pander to test audiences. US sitcoms are written more like the way soap operas are.
Margo.. I would!
@fauxsham million thumbs up
What does Margo say the second time she silently mouths words to Jerry at 05:18? I could swear she says "have you been rude?", but can someone clear it up?

I'm afraid I must agree with Vyvyan's opinion of this show...
Haha margo dunkirk
@liebtiff In the very last eposode she is in a deep v-neck orange top. She wore a few more high-necked outfits ... check out the riding gear in the next episode, complete with crop and boots, v hot! ... in the last series but she showed off her 2nd best assets (her incredible acting chops being 1st) as well :)
Aw I don't see how they can seem like arseholes. Tom reminds me of my dad.
why xD
Margot reminds me of Marilyn Manson.
