Regardless of whether this is true or fictionalised ( I think it's the latter), it was quite nice of William that he came, not because he is the future king, but he came to support his granny.

William was there the whole time unlike the movie. I was there in the crowd that day and saw him a couple of times.

The Royal Family is Britain’s national identity, even though it’s outdated it is still part of Britain’s identity as a country.

Nothing outdated about Monarchy. Liberalism and its preference for democracy does not outdo monarchy in all areas.

I doubt we will see anything like this for Charles, whatever the occasion

I don't think he will live long enough, but neither will William. He looks like he will be a more miserable King than Charles. Charles at least appears sort of happy.

William might. But that’s a big if, as in have to ascend to the throne in the next 10 years. Charles maybe 25 years. But it is biologically impossible for Charles to reach his golden jubilee.

@@paranormaltraveler-pennsyl1721 correct. But they also do a pretty bang up job matching the outfits that were worn for major moments. And they got this one right. You'd think Susan Morano would realize that since intercut into the show was actual footage from the balcony appearance, and in that actual footage you'll see the queen basically wearing what they have Imelda Staunton wearing.
