I feel like it'd be incredibly funny to see a multiplayer campaign between Gong Sun Zan and Lady Zhurong. Both of them are literally on the opposite side of the map and would literally never meet until the late game XD

The Nanman tech tree always annoys me because for some reason they stacked all the public order buildings on one side, so it's possible to accidentally end up with no public order and a ton of buildings that gives - public order.

I honestly think you are playing this campaign because the guy with the flaming mace wooped your generals butts in the Liu Bei campaign.

In a recent Sun Jian game, I killed him, took the mace, and gave it to either Cheng Pu or Huang Gai. It was rather funny.

Tigers are no longer heat seeking missiles sadly, but they do still serve a purpose: Formation disruption on infantry, fire and forget. Of course the use of this on such a high difficulty is limited. Plus you get elephants so...

Yes, there is a confederation event. Also you can give the flaming mace to anyone if the brother dies but it gets linked to that character until death (doubt you want to do that, but people tend to kill him to give the weapon to Zhu Rong)

That final update that gave the Han factions the choice when they level and the ability to use favor to hinder other factions really hurt the Nanmen who don't have that feature.

i wish the Nanman factions the ability to like, humiliate Zhuge Liang (even though he prolly my number 1 character from Shu, sorry Liu Bei) by forcing him in Nanman armor and fight for them (whenever he appears on the field and you capture him)

Now we can complete the triplet: among men, Lü Bu; among horses, Red Hare; among weapons, Dai Lai's flaming mace.

Another playthrough to add to the evergrowing list of 'watch later'! I've yet to finish your Lu Zhi MOH playthrough but it's fascinating hearing you talk about all those old books. Even if I don't know Chinese I think they would be really interesting to read. It's a shame that - much like other works from Ancient Greece (or the Ancient history in general) - some of them have been either partially destroyed or completely lost to time.

Zhuge Liang is back in his element!

This was going to be my next play thru before we took a break.

I am like trying 3 or 4 times play as Lady Zhurong. I get all nanman achievements except "Tiger king". Last campaign what I start I was like all going well, I got some good army, 2k gold per turn, become chef and boom....Meng Huo attack me, Yang Feng attack me and some third tribe attack me in one turn...all was good we was friends and they just attack me all in one turn. I don't know what was that probably one of CA features of their "complete" game.

Ahh... a simpler time after the Liu Bei mod pack let's play. Now a heirloom spear is consider a prized weapon...

Besides uniting the tribes, can you do other challenges hopefully along the way? Like kill the 3 Sword Brothers or Zhuge Liang specifically Or have a vassal control all of Jing... only not really sure if thats fun though

I found out you can actually use the Mod Radious Total War with the ones you already use

I did my first campain on Very hard / Very Hard by a Nanman's - Shamoke but its wasn't a Romance mode (don't like it). The biggest problem of my campain was a late game becouse perks of a Nanman's generals didn't work to my troops (i think so) and generals from Xan is better for it. The only way that i find - just take a Han's generals to my army and fight by them :D But i didn't use Elephants and tigers - maybe it was the misstake. ===== I want to see that u will do for a late game. How much Bitrate did you use for Recording? It looked nice 😊

I actually use the CQP rate control settings for recordings (with a CQ level of 22 which is definitely high) and the preset of Max Quality

When you were deciding which neighbor to trade with, I noted that you didn't take "having one's back to a wall" into explicit account. (This would argue in favor of taking out YongChang before anyone else.) That usually plays a large role in my decisions, at least when I'm near enough to and edge for it be relevant. Is this not something that you think about?

In reality all of them will declare war on you so it really doesn’t matter that much. Because I am keeping the army super small I can redeploy fairly easily so fighting a multiple front war isn’t as bad so not really.

@@SeriousTrivia Ah, yes. Early in campaigns, you can do a lot with an "army" of generals which I usually recall every turn for a heal. A mistake that I made when I first started playing was not embracing the "Romance" version, with the focus on generals. I built full stacks that moved slowly and I really couldn't afford. Now, I often don't start having actual armies until I start facing cities with walls.* And the benefits to economy of generals-only armies is huge. * nb. insert standard rant about trebuchets "futuristic" and, therefore, OP here
