@@lyssa530 He sleeps around with people because he can afford prostitutes but from the subtle Korean narratives it is so obvious that he has never even thought of engaging in anything of that kind with the flight attendant. This becomes much more obvious in later episodes with her in the wedding dress. I feel like a lot of these subtle nuances are lost in translated sub titles but as a Korean I can almost 100 percent guarantee that he has zero interest in her.

Teaching is a high-paying job in South Korea. Since they are government employees, they can't be fired. Not only that, but the female protagonist saved money by working as a laborer in a factory for years before entering college. She gave everything for revenge. Her time, her savings, her future. She doesn't extort money from an innocent person.

Interesting insight what you said about her learning a lesson about letting go after what happened to her. There are some like she said the pain and hatred she felt is impossible to let go which is understandable. Imagine she cannot cook coz the sizzling gives her trauma, that's why she only eats Kimbap, and she cannot wear short sleeves coz of the scars. She didn't do anything to those people but she was just basically brutally assaulted. The only thing that made her live was basically the rage and pain she felt and she wanted this revenge. Now with out that rage she would've died already. I think you are missing the point of this drama. Well let's see if your mind will change after you finish the whole drama. She knows that revenge is a sin that is why she already knows what kind of person she's becoming, if this happened to you I just don't know how "You can Move on" and go back to your life like nothing happened especially those people who did that to you is not feeling any bit of remorse.

Let's not forget that the scars/wounds themselves were often irritating n prone to infection without proper treatment causing them to be itchy n uncomfortable even after time had passed. No parental figure to care for her cuz her mum abandoned her for the money from the same bully's family. I can go on n say she's better off moving on n forget about revenge being a viewer with nothing to lose but if I were in her shoes,......I don't know, man. People like that who haven't reflected on their actions, refusing to change n still sprouting their poison in the world without a sense of human decency, I'd want to curse them too myself

I love how the guy on the left keep saying how beautiful dong eun is. The actress, song hye kyo, been known for her natural beauty. One of the few korean actress who don’t go under knifes. The fact that her role here is the least pretty she’s ever been (she has to lose weight, not wear much makeup or skincare, so she really can make the dong eun character who’s live a hard life comes to life) but you said she’s so pretty, so your mind might get blown if you see her on another roles or show. She really is that pretty.

It is stipulated by law that public teachers in Korea are not allowed to tutor instead of being guaranteed a stable job and pension system. It is a system that takes into account the leakage of test questions and the equity of students receiving tutoring.

That little pause in the middle of the reaction to get everybody up to speed was hilarious! I feel it too because up to this point in the show I was also struggling with the different names and plotlines the show keeps throwing at us.

Gulf course dude is not smashing the flight attendant. She likes him, but he doesn't like her and hasn't done anything with her.

I recommend "Taxi Driver"(the k-drama not the movie) for your next k-drama reaction. Like it's soooo good and I am actually surprised by its lack of recommendations. It's one of, if not the best revenge kdrama out there. It's the epitome of sweet revenge, plus it's also fast-paced. Not a single person has reacted to it on KZread because it's one of those hidden gems. Every single episode deals with a different case and revenge plot(the cases are also very unique and varied). Even though it was released first, I would say it's the darker version of Attorney Woo. Also, some of the criminal cases being dealt with in the drama are inspired by real-life cases that actually happened in SK. It has such a unique storyline and I am 100% certain that you will enjoy it. Even if it's not on your list of next kdramas to react to, at least add it to your watchlist and I promise you won't regret it.

Today's generation has become liberated but the general population in many Asian countries are still conservative. Courting and dating may take time. It might take many flowers, chocolates, dinners,romantic words before you could officially establish that you're together or kiss each other. Haha.

I appreciate your insight and respect you showed. Personally we know. We make note more In Itaewon class how in Asian culture they are loyal and will court for a loooong time hahaha. But in moments like this. We say jokes and honestly just project out own feelings. That being said. We are Jamaican/Hatian/Columbian. There is a mix of cultures here and i think in all our heritages the men move a bit faster in the courting. Thanks for taking the time to comment with respect and a time stamp

Just watched the first few minutes of the video so I don’t know if your opinion ends up changing but there’s absolutely no way y’all think this show is about the main character (the one that go bullied and burned for years) to learn her lesson and “move on”.. MOVE ON?!? “Let the pass go”.. she was burned bro😭 and the burns that are still not healed 20 years later, there’s no moving on from that. This show is about revenge, giving revenge to the bullies and whatever the main characters is doing is 100% not even close to what they did to her. try watching the show with a different mindset cause I think y’all are missing the point

Both can be true…yes, the show is about main lead getting her revenge…how ever it is also about letting go and moving on to past trauma. There’s a romantic relationship that is formed where she learns to let go and love despite never feeling that. Does she ever let go of her revenge? No, but she lets go of being a victim or a prey. Both can be correct…and moving on or letting go doesn’t mean you forget…it just means that you take the steps to heal in whatever way is comfortable to you.
