Just bought my first Glock (a 17 gen 4) a few weeks ago. I cleaned it took it to the range and I'm impressed with the trigger reset way better than the M&P. Yes I also purchased a 33 round "fun stick" for it as well. I also like the fact that you can shoot 22 LR with conversion kit. I think what ultimately drew me to Glock is the huge aftermarket and factory support as ease of field strip and detail strip.

Mister Miney Agreed, its all about reliability and accuracy e.g can i depend on it....yup I can. If i had a choice, i'd take an FN Five-seveN or maybe FNX or FNS 9. Because FN is a company I've used alot and depended my life on in the military. But at the price the Glock is an absolutely solid choice (although the FNS 9 is usually cheaper and better than a 19), utilitarian does the job, you can depend on it. If people hate on it, they are concerned about image or some crazy reason (some pseudo-justification BS), You've got to respect something reliable and solid like this.

It was so light compared to anything else I had handled. Little did I realize at the time, how popular they would become. Love them or hate them, they are good value for the money and reliable in my opinion.

I'm always impressed with your videos--thank you for taking the time to make them! I am getting ready to purchase my first (personal) pistol, and I have been absolutely stymied by the choices available. I suppose that's kind of a nice problem to have. I also grew up with the 1911, and have spent nearly all of my time shooting and carrying my father's Colt series 80 service pistol. Frankly, I was going to just go ahead and get a Glock because of all the stellar reviews, but holding one felt totally alien to me. After watching this, I think I've realized I'd really rather get something that I'm more familiar with. I guess I'm kind of a sucker for blued steel and rosewood grips :) Thanks again!

You guys will probable won't believe me, but I paid only $225 for mine in 1987. I went through Glock's Armour course and their firearms instructor course as well. I went on to get my to get my Federal Firearms Instructor's certificate at FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center) after that with my Glock 17. While I was at FLETC I obtained a Distinguished Weapons Expert Certificate. I have since bought a carbine conversion for my Glock which is super cool to have, believe me on that. BillMcKn if you are in a state that limits magazine capacity, consider .45 caliber. Since they force you to give up the higher capacity of most Glock models, you might as well make each bullet count, the. 45s being 230 grains. I like the model 30, consider slim Frame, for CONCEALED Carry.

BillMcKn I have had a Walther PPX and shoot a Glock 19. The PPX has a high bore Axis and is ugly but shoots pretty well and the price is right. If you want a carry pistol go with the Glock 19. If you want a home defense gun at a good price and a good shooter get the PPX. I think walther has a good PPX rebate now. You get a extra mag and holster plus mag holster. I sold mine and got the PPQ and P99. both great pistols. If you are set on the Glock 19 and PPX i would say Glock 19.

Bought my first Glock ever, a couple weeks ago. I was popping bullseyes out of the box at 10 yards. Something I have never done with any gun. I had never given them a chance, due to all the haters spouting their crap. I was influenced. Decided to see for myself what the "fanboys" (as the haters call Glock lovers) were talking about. I have been assimilated. Now, I will always own Glock.

I did a lot of research and found out HK makes the best guns for the money. i switched from HK to glock because i am also very accurate with Any glock. ive shot a 9mm, 20, 21, 22, 23, 29, 30, 36, even the new 40. i feel betrayed by HK when i found out they dont really make a 10mm pistol. i felt like .40SW really stands for Short and Weak. i wish Santa would bring my a glock 29 gen4 10mm.

davidrx795 if you dont do stupid shit to it, it will last for very long time. Does HK uses better material, yes, will it outlast a glock, yes. Are you going to push it to the limit just to see? Im not. But here are a few reasons i went with glock Im very accurate with any glock that i pick up. Low bore axis, love it. After holding a glock HK feels taller. It shoots 10mm, that right there was the tipping point. HK has no 10mm handguns available. Even Sig made a p220 in 10mm if im correct. Interchangeable magazines, and plenty of accessories available for glocks. Extended magazine is about 50 bux, i was going to order an extended one for my p2000, it is 100 plus dollars. Makes no sense when i can get 2 for same price from glock. HK still feels better in my hand, so i left it to guard mom haha. I havent carried an HK in over a year since i switched to 10mm glocks. Also, if you like .45acp the compact g30 offers 10 plus 1 capacity, while the HK45c is only 7 or 8 plus 1 and weighs way more. Sorry HK is pretty and all, but glock gets the job done!!!

i made the mistake of my first glock being a 30SF as a concealed carry, and dont get me wrong, it was not a bad gun in and of itself, but 45 cal in a sf is not for a concealed carry owner who has not done copious amounts of training and practice. (as any carrier should) In my opinion that caliber needs to have a full frame for consistent accuracy. I recognized that it was ignorant of me to carry a gun i wasn't extremely accurate with, and when I tried a 9 mil variant (first 9 i ever owned) i immediately recognized the value in glocks insane versatility and options and immediately fell in love. Sidenote everything changed once I touched CZs though :)

To this day I have no clue why so many people hate Glocks. I try to be open minded but I have yet to see a truly valid reason. And I’m not someone that hates on other handguns - just… baffled is all. And “it looks ugly” is not a valid reason when it comes to tools. It’s not jewelry you show off day in, day out. First and foremost it needs to be reliable and durable.

Went through various auto pistols I didn't care for, thank goodness for the Glock pistols. One more comment to add, those original Glock sights, me I've always liked them and now that I'm pushing 64 years of age I find they are the easiest sights to see. It holds 10 rounds normal mag 13 with jumbo mag. This gun will beat the shit out of your glock any day. It's .45 ACP so it will actually put down a bad guy unlike your useless glock where you could pull the trigger all day and take forever to take someone out.

I have been asked on numerous occasions why I like the Glock. It all comes down to its reliability, aftermarket support for customizing, and simplicity of design. My first Glock was a gen 3 Glock 23. I found that I am not a fan of 40 S&W, but an inexpensive swap of barrel and it became a Glock 19. Since that one I’ve bought a gen 3 Glock 22 (that I’ve also bought a 9mm conversion barrel for, but found out in the longer frame I’m more accurate with either ammunition), a Glock 48 (aluminum mag release, Shield S15 magazines), and a Glock 42. The only modifications I’ve made other than listed were fiber optic or night sights, and talon rubberized grips. I also polished internals to make OEM triggers smoother.

The gen3 G17 will always have the biggest place in my heart as it was my first ever gun that i purchased myself. I’m young’ 23y/o and forever grateful to live in texas which has constitutional carry, thank god. I now own the most of the pistols seen within the video not just including the glocks and tbh this man couldn’t have been more correct! it all comes down to personal preference don’t get what’s most popular or cool get yourself a sidearm that offers you confident protection. As for myself yes “Glock” is MY favorite and although there’s many legitimate reasons why it is the most popular gun ITW it isn’t my first choice based on that popularity! nor is it based on the opinion of others. It is my experience that any glock in the right hands can be 2nd to none! it’s what i find most comfortable and what i’m most confident in! i know that no matter the conditions i can rely on it to always function as it should! rain, mud, dirt, sand, water etc… My glocks have always performed. Lastly i want to reiterate to anyone searching for a new pistol to do as the video suggests and hold all sorts of different pistols, find what fits you best and let the final decision be predicated on your own experience. Edit: Sorry i forgot the most important thing! “𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲! 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐩𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐑𝟏𝟓 𝐬𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞. There us nothing wrong with being that guy. The infighting within this community is our biggest weakness, I am a single issue advocate and hate it. If people feel unsafe because someone didn't feel like setting up for concealed carry that day, it's your problem; not theirs. Maybe if Gun education was mandatory things would be better, but I could see them bungling that all up and making I worse.... Idk, but please don't hate open carry guy, or my kind who print like typewriters (and still no-on notices. I even went to show a security guard my holster was empty cause I thought he was eyeing it, as it prints about the same without the gun.... Walmart nylon with shoestrings ratchet straps, srategic holes in all my pants, but I am rambling.... as he us clearly on our team ND showing people it's OK. I was told to "double check it was legal even lol, I know no-one more versed in gun law than myself. Idk, my point is idc what color, hobbies, creed, or anything else a person does/has/is as long as their not with the whiny gun grabbers (who used your dame argument to try to ban open carry in parks, I spoke against it.... not saying that's why it failed but there us a corollary between the bills hey let me speak on and which ones fail. Open carry guy Concealed but loose guy Super concealed guy Leaves it in his car or backpack guy Scared to carry but supports others guy All allies should be accepted, only scorn the behavior that rightfully hurts our image (litterbugs are high on the list, as are senseless murderers and other bad stuff) Open carry may hurt are image with some, but it shows others it's OK. Also, with the proliferation of home gunsmithing the monetary barrier to entry has dropped dramatically. Not to long now that $50 ccp/ccw/cpl/ whatever a state calls the unconstitutional permit necessary for concealing will be the most expensive part of the process. *at the very least you must see that it also alienates people to not support open carry, and in some states could make the difference between being legal to carry or not* Please, please consider decenting the high horse that you and so many others have taken to mounting. If ol Bubba likes to keep his 12 gauge on him, it's his choice and we should respect it and him.

Your 23 and trying to tell people how to live? My guy if you are bothered by open carry, that is on you, not the one open carrying. The one open carrying is likely knowingly taking on extra risk and giving up the element of surprise to normalize guns. Or maybe can't afford a permit like I said above. Where the hell do you get off judging how people invoke their God given right. (It also let's me know that is probably a good guy to have a beer with, as most non-internet warrior gun guys are) I am absolutely appalled the former norm, the largest way to show 2a support, the simple inaction of not hiding your gun is something prominent voices will throw shade on. But your barely an adult youtube commenter, and thought "this is a good idea to type up, let's just throw many of or allies under the gun grabbers bus because "it's scary" Get over it, and have some freaking humble pie. Some people watching are old enough to be your daddy, and your *telling* them what is right and wrong..... I'm perplexed you exist good sir, I guess do whatever you want but the attacking of our own does bother me greatly.

Also, it's difficult to conceal an AR with a proper barrel, so the there's that.

I like Glocks. I DON'T like people that think they are the best without question. Glocks USED to be one of the best polymer framed pistols. Now, MANY companies have improved on the Glock design, and Glock has fallen behind.

Bought my first Glock and it's the all black G48. Went ahead and picked up Shield Arms 15 round mag and it's a phenomenal pistol.

Indeed. First time I cleaned my Glock .45 ACP, it was easy sleazy (heh). That's another reason I dig it.

Glock is mostly popular because it's a single syllable word that is easy to rhyme. Blame rappers.
