And Billy Ray! His debut album went 9 times platinum!
I just teared up. Seeing Loretta (my favorite gal), seeing George... and then Sara singing Three Cords and The Truth.. with George just sittin' there listenin'. Oh the irony. Thanks for all these videos. I watched every single one when they aired on TNN all those years ago. I have some on VHS somewhere packed up. But I'm sure the quality isn't as good as yours. I will never be able to tell you how much these videos mean to me. THANK YOU. Rest in peace Possum...
Priceless footage of Loretta and George, two bona fide originals - from an era when giants bestrode the airwaves, there can be nothing to equal such greatness again and what passes for original country music today is dispiriting to say the least...

And look, it has been 9 years (now 2022) since you made that observation. The trend continues; therefore we can all remain thankful for recordings and tho the people who are doing the old time stuff don't really seem to be in the spotlight now, they're still out there. You just have to look harder, right Folks?

These George Jones shows were and are awesome. RIP GEORGE JONES. YOUR ALREADY MISSED.
Thanks for posting. Love it, I could watch and listen to George everyday, all day! I'm so thankful for youtube and the posters for giving us the opportunity to see them sing in the prime of their careers!
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER GEORGE JONES THEY DONT MAKE SONGS LIKE THAT ANY MORE. GEORGE WAS THE GREATEST HE WAS MY HERO GONE BUT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTIN .
Love me some old George Jones songs!!!!!!!!!!!!Loving..Leaving...and crying......
Thank you for sharing these classic memories of the great legands that made country music . Wish they were still here
RIP George Jones...we love you and your music
The conversational 'intro's' alone could keep me entertained on here for hours... XD
Oh my...Not only do Loretta and George blend melodies like nothing else, but then Sara Evans comes out and does one that Patsy herself would have been proud of.
Thanks so much for posting these great G.Js shows. I had never seen them. George Jones and Loretta singing that old George Jones/Melba Montgomery duet is priceless. It never sounded so good ! George Jones is, (in my own personal opinion) by far, the GREATEST country singer of ALL time. Sing away for eternity in Heaven, Possum !

Loretta Lynn is Miss country music and George Jones was Mr country music and there are icons in my book
Your so very welcome, I am glad you are enjoying the music! It is rare to see someone your age that is true to the classics of REAL country music. Just proves you have taste!!! Your friends don't know what they are missing. I appreciate the comment, and thank you for watching my videos.
Please!!!! Put more of them video's out. I love him so much also. Was raised through out my family with his music. Love Loretta Lynn saw her in concert 2 times in Honolulu, Hawaii. Thanks so much for posting them.
Another great episode! Love the performances and lots of great stories here. Loved hearing Sara Evans' story about Loretta and Lee Ann Womack, Billy Ray's story about the song "Suddenly," and of course George and Loretta reminiscing about past times and how they always admired each other. Also interesting that both Billy Ray and Sara would have big success later in 1998 after this episode aired. Billy Ray made a nice comeback with the song "Busy Man," while Sara would have her breakout hit and first number one with "No Place That Far."

I'm thinking of covering BRC's "Busy Man" tonight on stage.
Sara Evans sings Imagine that like she owns it. Beautiful voice
Great video. So much talent all in one place. I sure love the great George Jones, Billy Ray Cyrus, the awesome Loretta Lynn. I'm not familiar with Sara Evans at all. Don't know if I ever heard her sing before. You guys KLUNKET done a wonderful job and George Jones is a charming host. Gosh I sure love his songs. Well know I heard Sara Evans singing. She is pretty good. WOW Loretta sure is so young on here singing blue Kentucky girl. All these stars sure had to endure much before the became famous.

Hi KLUNKET, I don't know who Sara Evans is either. Don't remember her at all. Yes, you're right. They all had a hard time before their talent became known. In my book George Strait is the next big king, including Alan Jackson. So many are gone now, but their music lives on. I love CW music. Coming from Germany with my American husband, I never heard of CW music in Germany. My husband introduced me to it. I fell in love right away. For me it was George Jones. You all have a great day and be safe. Gigi.
Thank you so much for posting this! i love george jones and loretta lynn, my two favorite artist of all time! i've loved them since i was just a kid and now im 17 and still in love with them :)
I really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing here.
Boy that whole episode is so cool, From George and Loretta all the way through. I loved Sarah the 1st time I ever saw her, and that story about Billy Ray and his song is priceless.
Great great show.
Loretta= The Queen of country music.! She's had some health issues the past couple years . but i oh how I wish we could see her on stage one more time.

It makes me so sad, but I don't think anyone will ever come close to filling their shoes... When Jones retires this year, it's almost like real country music retires with him. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

OK....I've been waiting for the weekly George Jones Show upload and haven't seen it. Please don't stop uploading
George, in answer to your question ... Nobody! Nobody could ever or will ever fill those shoes!
Please keep the full episodes coming
It is funny that you posted this comment right when you did, because at the very same time you were typing this message I had an episode uploading!!! I just posted the Toby Keith, Martina McBride and Ed Bruce episode this morning. I actually tried to post it on Wednesday, but I kept getting an error message and internet explorer would shut down... I had to download google chrome to fix the problem. Sorry for the wait but there is a fresh episode waiting for you right now!!! Hope you enjoy it!
I sure hope so... But it seems unlikely after this long... but never say never. Maybe we should start a petition?
Surprised more people aren't mentioning Billy Ray Cyrus. Super underrated

He's not underrated, he took the path of celebrity over being true county. He has done ok as an actor and other things but he never came across as a truly genuine musician or singer.

@@musicfanhawk4523 I understand that point of view for his output during the Disney years (2007-2011), but his 90s work is very underrated and his albums Change my mind (2012) and Thin Line (2016), are very solid.
Please provide for viewing the entire George Jones Funeral. Some of us couldn't watch it live. Thanks
Your welcome, I also just checked out some of your posts... you have great taste in music!
Love his music
Oh, bummer! I saw the portion of it with Gov. Huckabee, but I had to leave. I surely hope it'll be replayed as a special of some sort.
Thank you honey!
Beautiful song

Love it❤

JMAR YOU ARE SO RIGHT MY FRIEND! LONG LIVE REAL COUNTRY
I have every single episode on VHS. I taped them all back then, I pretty much set my calendar to the George Jones show because I loved it so much! I plan to slowly get them all uploaded to youtube.I am a little worried that youtube may pull them for copyright reasons but I hope not. Since TNN no longer exists, & I'm not showing these for profit hopefully they will leave it alone. I'm putting them up because a bunch of GJ fans asked me to! They said they missed the show and wanted to see it again

This stuff is absolutely fantastic! I hope you do put them all up...and quick, just in case. I haven't seen this stuff in years!
Ther all super 👌 singles we love ❤ all fine singer
Really disappointed for the lack of anyone mentioning Billy Ray! The man is one of the most down to earth people in Country Music and the song he sings here "Suddenly" tells of one of his best friends who committed suicide. Cyrus is an amazing man God Bless him. Along with Lorette and the Possum(my daddy's favorite)

I would say that, with the passing of George Jones last week, there is a strong possibility it will happen.
I didnt know about this show. Or i would've been watching it.from the begining.
SARA IS SO HOTT AND SO COUNTRY
GEORGE JONES NO OTHER MALE COUNTRY SINGER CAN OUT SING YOU YOUR MY FAVORITE
Didn't you hear? TNN was relaunched last November.
Can someone please upload both episodes with Merle Haggard?
I remember the Wilburn Brothers Show, Don Helms did the steel guitar on Loretta song.
R.IP George Jones
hey klunket. do you think they'll ever put this out on DVD. because I would love to have these episodes
Klunket, I live in Australia and did not get these shows on TV. How many shows did he do? Can I find them all on here? Thankyou
As far as I am aware they haven't released these on DVD... if they did where do they have it for sale?? I know some people have sold copies transferred from homemade VHS recordings, but never officially on DVD. I sure hope they truly did release this! I'd love to own it in DVD quality rather than the old VHS quality from my home made TNN recordings.
If you will type George Jones Funeral in the space above the picture it will come up. It's on here.
I tried to. KZread removed it. So sorry.
George should've asked Loretta about Don Helms doing about a song.
where could we find the DVDs?
Sara really reminds me of Linda
Uh oh, we got achy breaky heart again. Look out!
