There's an endless list of underrated country singers, from every era, decade, and generation... But the list gets unique when you enter the 80s and 90s, because that is when the underrated singers we found, were the one's who emanated the *traditional* sound of country music, that Mr. Jones praises in every episode of his show here. The singers who kept the faith, and held true to not only the sound, but the core meaning of what country music was, and is supposed to be. The 80s and 90s is when we saw country music change, and marketing and image and sales took over... But in my humble opinion, Mr. Joe Diffie, was a relic and golden light for country music. You could sense his passion for the genre, and his true love for the talent of the traditional country artists, and what the music was supposed to be. By far, one of the most underrated talents Nashville ever had the privilege of having. You are terribly missed, Mr. Diffie. Thank you for your talent and music. While I believe you never got the appreciation you deserved, your music was appreciated more by your fans than many modern country fans will ever understand. RIP Joe Diffie.

@@margaretvanwaning9882those sad songs was what saved my life. Listening to Alan Jackson I realized that sad songs did not have to be depressing, lot of those songs I had lived through. I appreciated my life that much more. I knew that I had a lot to live for. I was not a drinker, never did drugs, had no desire too. I love the sad songs. Because of those sad songs I am a survivor.🙂 I thank Father God everyday. I saw the videos, I thank God for Alan Jackson. He came out at a time I was at my lowest. I still play the CDs. Know I'm not ready to go yet. Love, respect and positivity always. Vee j.
