Exactly! NOW the "big boys" (HORI, Moza, Thrustmaster, etc.) decide to focus on other-than-racing driving sim controllers, AFTER I spent ~$600 on a Logitech G29 turn signal mod, a Sim-Panel control box, AND an Eaton-style shifter knob! 🤦‍♂

@@guildrich Sorry my boy, I was also about to buy the Logitech turn signal until I saw Moza was making one, and then a few months later I saw Hori was also making one. I just halted all my plans for these two companies to do their thing and then I will make a decision from there

Great addon with one HUGE concern. The attachment mechanism does not consider those with keyboard holders built into their desks. A low-profile attachment mechanism would work for a greater range of desks this peripheral will sit on.

Mann, this is a bummer but I suggest making a makeshift setting that you can attach every time you use the wheel. Or consider buying a gaming rig setup or a new desk. Whichever you choose you'll have to sacrifice something so I guess sacrifice what you leat prefer

I litteraly came accross this gear as I was about to order a full MOZA setup, but this one is going to have it all - and a big plus is the fact that it is being developed together with SCS. Fast forward to fall 24 pls 🙂

As a mere fact, Logitech's Driving Force GT also had horn button in the middle, which also doubled as power/status indicator.

Mee too bud, finally a wheel dedicated to sim games like ATS, ETS2. Most wheels are for racing and casual driving sim games

don't get me wrong, i love this so much, the shifter is 👌 chef's kiss, the steering wheel is cool too but i wish there's a car version of this with less tilt and smaller diameter, because i feel like there is currently no steering wheel that sits perfectly in the sweet spot between truck sim and racing sim, i want a modern normal car steering wheel that isn't meant for racing

I would look for another company for controllers as Hori has not proven to be a dominant player in the gaming scene. Still, if they use this opportunity right, they might find themselves amongst the top go-to gaming devices. (just like how Nike used MJ to move to the top of the chain lol)

I am buying one the day I can afford it. In the meantime, hopefully people will try out the real thing when it's released and give feed back, and scs will make it perfect.

My thrustmaster wheel alone was 800, shifter was 80, and pedals were 400. All thrustmaster products, but the pedals are custom loaded. I don't know how I feel about 600, I'm not convinced it could be good quality for all those options

@@southpineshooligan Well, and I am not defending the pricing here from Hori but I got my Logitech Wheel and shifter for less than $500 and it has the same drive systems as that from Hori. With them using plastic and employing a gear drive system, the price would not increase significantly.

I’ll be getting this for sure. Not sure how I’ll set it up though. Might need to just get a whole other cockpit and screen to run it on. I use a T818 direct drive currently and mostly do rally/drifting, but this kit would still just feel so much nicer to use for the truck sim despite being gear driven. The all-inclusive ecosystem on its own makes it 100% worth it. I’m not a huge fan of gear driven feel in ets/ats, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker for me thanks to how much thought was put into the amenities that come along with this system

Don't have too much info on the last part of the comment, but I do know that SCS and Hori have been working on this from design to functionality, and quality for months now and a lot of feedback has been given since they started this project. I know it was thoroughly tested by a bunch of people at Hori and other partners and independent players to ensure it ends up being a quality product

for the price it is good..to get a similar setup you need around 450-500 euro(G29 + shifter + truckshift mod + signal stocks[indicators] + button box for all the functions) and on that price you miss the 1800 degrees of rotation and ease of use!(almost zero configuration according to the vid) in my eyes these two deserve 100 euro.. the 600 euro price(preorder in my country) is actually very good! for all those who whine about the dual motors.. I bought g27 around six months after release and after A LOT of drifting it still works like a dream...

I agree @$600 the price is fair for the amount of detail I see the wheel offers. I also don't get it when people complain about dual motors, I have been using a g29 and to this very date have never had any issues with it. I in fact love it despite having used a ThrustMaster and felt the diff. If you play around with force feedback setting, you will be good to go and won't even notice anything

When I was 16 I used to make like $30 mowing the lawn. if you do such jobs from now until December, you might actually have the money to buy it

That was a disappointment for me too, but I guess I am already used to it since I use a Logitech wheel haha

A trucking dedicated wheel is a tough sell for most people, as most people will play driving and racing games in general. So while a racing wheel can be used for trucks, a trucking wheel cant be used for racing. That shifter needs to be sold separately, and it will eclipse the wheel sales of the wheel if you do so. For the trucking wheel, the Moza approach is better with an Addon wheel for an existing ecosystem.

I agree with you on all the points you raised here bud and I must add that it would be a great move to focus on making everything co-dependent with other wheel companies as this will increase their market range. After talking with several people here on KZread about the wheel, it seems most people don't care about the racing aspect of it since it seems they have a wheel setup already, all they want is a dedicated simulator wheel with these offered features. People just want this to play simlator games like ats, ets2, mud runner and the likes

@@toxicpanda09 The good thing about the buttons on both the steering wheel and shifter is that they have icons indicating their function e.g crusie control icon, engine brake icons, so it makes it easier to remember. Most don't have a simple layout, but all in all it will take sometime to memorize all over 100 buttons, I agree

It will be amazing for ATS/ETS2. Only concern is how flexible it will be for other games as well. Trying to play any other racing game or beamNG could be difficult with the wider wheel circumference. For the price tag I’d want to be able to possibly hot swap the wheel with a more car friendly one. Considering I mostly play SCS games and farm sim it would work pretty well on either of those.

I agree bud, what I've learned from people commenting is that most people are not too concerned about that since they already have other wheels they use, so this will be for dedicated truck driving games. Those buying this as their first wheel will have a hard time integrating it into another game, that's for sure. I'd suggest people go the Moza way if they want a more versatile wheel that can be easily converted depending on the game on is playing.

Would I be able to get a custom pedal setup for me as an right leg amputee? I love the game, but can't find a pedal setup. Everything is 3-pedal, right foot gas. And that right side automatic option is awesome as well!

Well, in the sim itself you can set the pedals to whatever you want, in settings you are able to put the game in automatic transmission mode. The only deal with the 3 pedal setup usually is that the brake pedal is the stiffest, followed by the clutch and the throttle is the loosest.. like i said "usually". Not an amputee here, but i've set rally games up to use the clutch as a brake for easier braking. Hope it helps in your thought-train.

Make sure to comment on Hori's YT video and SCS Softwares' video to make sure they implement such changes before the final product is released into the market. Hori has changed a lot of things based on feedback from fans, so make sure to leave a comment there

it would be nice if they would sell the shifter separately.

Where info about the shifter. I see wheel and pedals but nothing about shifter

Not sure bud but my thoughts are it will be compatible with other top wheels due to the connecting cables being USB which means there is possibility it could be connected directly to your pc

In de in the Netherlands only in december.

Do you mean that using a wheel is not realism, because I am confused here... Having an actual wheel setup is the closest thing to the real thing... Now a combo of VR and a wheel I would say is up there

Will it be available Canada and how much? The buttons on my Logitech G920 stopped working. The force feedback still works, the steering still works.

Damn, and have you tried setting up the new logitech software I had a similar issue where I could not find the shifter on the previous software, but after installing the newer one, everything was all good

@@TartlezGamer I have tried the software. I was playing SnowRunner and tried to turn off the engine and it didn't work, then I noticed the light was out. I rebooted the computer unplugged everything. Still didn't work after. I still steer and feel the force feedback, the pedals work and so does the H-Shifter. I going to open it up and see if the connector is still plugged in.

@@vamp4997 Before you open it up, does it have issues when playing ATS or ETS2, or is just specific games that don't fully work? If it fully works for other games like ATS, then the issue might be compatibility.

@@TartlezGamer It is the same for all driving games. All the software and firmware are up to date. (still win7) The Wheel calibrate when I plug it in, the force feedback works. I guess the only option is to open it up and see if there is a lose connector or wait till December. 🙂

I'd be happy with just the shifter to replace my logitech g shifter

Yeah that's true but for this it has many other add-ons that make it better...but for me I'd like to remain with Logitech while having all these other addons

Just some feedback: You need to find another solution for your text. It is very hard to read. Maybe you can just make a white area at the bottom where you blend it in or just make short slides in between where you put your text. Regarding the wheel: It seems like a dream inspired by ETS/ATS.

Yeah for the wheel and pedals, you will be able to fit them into it, and also the shifter

We introduce you the dual pepper grinder, i mean dual motor fbb, welcome to 2006...i already can see the it have loose ffb center like g25 and g27 issue, the only positive is the lot of buttons and 1800 rotation, however any DD have unlimited rotation so you can set how many you want, if this product was introduced about 10-12 y ago it would be good, today meh....

I agree, bud, especially because Hori has not been known for quality and reliability, which differs from Logitech. The g5 and g27 may be cranky but they are reliable, I have a g29, and the gear mechanism, makes it louder and more mechanical but having used it for a while I can say it is not as bad as people make it out to be (in fact I love it). Well, I must agree that there are better wheels than Logitech and Hori products. I am looking at this from a different perspective which might make Hori one of the better products by collaborating with SCS Software. If they go in the right direction, that partnership alone might be the best thing for them and get them market share. I look at it like the Nike and Micheal Jordan partnership that turned Nike into the leading company it is today. But now it all depends on how Hori makes their final product since it is endorsed by SCS and their games are quickly gaining relevance year by year now. Hope that makes sense

@@TartlezGamer i know , i had 3 Logitech wheels, momo, g27, and g923, yes Logitech is not bad wheel like lot ytuber sas, it only loud and have that grindy feel, and for my taste loose ffb in center, so i think its not realy a "pvp" gear for precise overtakes, but for ETS/ATS, Farming sims, Mud/snow runner an game like that it is good, specialy the g25 and g27 shifter with buttons, also the good part is the game wheel support, almost any game will recognize the G serie, however am not sure the Spin Tires can recognize the moza for example, i think the same is with Fanatec csl dd...and thats the part where my "problems" are starting, i can choose a good wheel that half of my older games wont recognize, or get a worse wheel that all games support, but there are no any modification....

@@oskarmihalovic3903 I agree bud, I haven't tested or used the new Logitech wheel which uses a different system compared to the rest but I am not sure. So I guess that if it is like that, then it equalizes some of the other great wheels in the market. As for Hori, since this is a completely revised concept that has been tested and implemented with the help of SCS Software, I am a bit hopeful that it will be a good wheel. But that is just me bud, who knows whether it will be reliable in the long run

When it's released, where will we be able to buy it?

I just shortened the video to include the most important areas of the video but the video from SCS software has more detail about this product. There are dedicated cruise control buttons on the steering wheel on the right side of the wheel

@@TartlezGamer I meant the road with gravel, dirt, soil surfaces like those around a farm or Kirkenes quarry. These serve as very accurate examples. Logitech's wheels have the habit of making you feel each and every cog in their construction, thus you are forced to remove most of the FFB, because they otherwise fail to work properly.

@@Yavore346 I am about 99% sure, but I ask in order to learn if they had tested the wheel as if a normal player would and not a presenter that plays like a 5 yo of his/her stream. For the record, the MOZA model is far better than this one and has more leather and metal parts => it won't break fast.

And personally I don't find them that bad as people say...as for the dirt roads part, based on the feedback given by scs, the force feedback is actually good and applies to all aspects of the road that is gravel, dirt roads, and tarmac roads

is it a direct drive wheel or belt driven?. Also if it aint then its defo not worth that price as you can get a full bundle setup from Moza for that price and thats inc pedals and shifter lol

Well this is a gear-driven wheel, a full truck wheel from Moza plus pedals & shifter range from $700 and above without the addition of the turn signal stalk that will be introduced. So unless you are buying the racing wheel, then price may be around the same but for the truck wheel, it is more expensive than the Hori one

I even chose the cheapest Moza wheelbase, if you choose other wheel bases, the price goes up significantly

Has anyone checked the price of all components?? These guys dont joke around, just the wheel is 330€, you still have to buy the base for the wheel, 500€ and so on... i'll just keep my eyes on the company for now.

They said the retail price for the product setup which includes the wheel, pedals and shifter combo will range at $600 when it launches. The price might rise or fall depending on the circumstances at the time, but highly unlikely

i am way too sceptical by default it looks very plastic everywhere and i do have huge doubts about actual build quality. they try to do it all.. which i honestly would like but i am not throwing that money for potentially not very lasting equipment.. also the buttons on the shifter is like waaaay too close to the shifter if these things survive some years.. i might have a second look here

@@TartlezGamer i can totally understand that. ive had the stalks before but its just so heavy on my desk it would usually fall off. i guess its the clamps on the logitech base. needs a better system. more sturdy and more clamps to hold the mod in to me. so if this thing is lighter than the logitech its so worth the investment.
