I'm starting to binge watch your fan-edit and it's great, you did an excellent job. I have noticed that certain episodes still have some tiny bits of partially missing scenes that were cut from the 4kids version that was on the original japanese. nothing too major, but I have watched comparison videos between the two. not sure if you would ever plan on restoring those back in for a future update to the project or if you didn't do so because they felt unneeded to be included in or it was due to lack of VA's being able to lend their voices for the characters.

@@noahlawson8405 I wouldn't say you should neccesarily need to remake the entire thing, it's fine as it is. unless if you wanted it to be tweaked (and of course if you have all the files backed up) my recommendation would be if you wanted to, you can always go back and add those scenes in that were not there and try to get in touch with the VA's you hired. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. That is if you have the time. I'd be able to help out but I'm not too sure what kind of editing program you have used when making this or if I can find anyone that sounds similar to the 4kids cast. I just want everyone to see the entire UNCUT experience like it says in the title, if you get what I'm saying. And as if you couldn't already tell I am really passionate about this show.

Good Stuff! (The Episodes,) I tried this years ago but only did Episode 1. Nowadays I much prefer the Sub, but this definitely a project worthy of existing. Makes the Dub at least bearable.

Yeah, the biggest improvement really is the far superior score in the Japanese version. Music is essentially a 1/3 in any movie, or in this case, show. The 4Kids music is very repetitive and doesn't do much to heighten the scenes as, just like their efforts of dubbing the show, feels very butchered. It shows, especially when the 4Kids producer later admitted that he didn't even know a thing about Sonic. However, I will give them praise for assembling quite a good cast for the most part. Many still love some of the voice cast such as Jason Griffith, Dan Green and Lisa Ortiz, and there is a very good reason why Mike Pollock is still playing Eggman to this day.

This isn't necessarily KZread's fault, TMS isn't too pleased to see some channels hosting various foreign versions of the show. This Uncut series is what you'd call a fan edit, despite practically being the same show in terms of flow and story.

Hey, sorry that I keep coming to you with questions about the Uncut English Edition but I was just wondering, why did you choose to keep Cosmo's dialogue unmuted in the Black Trap episode instead of muting it like in the original version, I know that one of Dark Oak's lines overlaps Cosmos, but if that was the reason why then why didn't you just get the actor who sounded like Dark Oak to redo the line?

I did keep in some of the essential scenes that 4Kids removed and had voice actors help me out. It took me two years to get this project done. There were many steps to just get one episode done.

Hey, so I found the Japanese Sonic X files but when I tried to extract the Center Audio Channels it didn't work, is there a way you would happen to have copies of the Japanese episodes with the Center Audio Channels already extracted so I can use those as templates and just insert the Spanish Vocals into those, and if so, is there a way you could give them to me?

@@AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Were you working with Stereo audio (2 channels) or 5.1 audio (6 channels)? Just to let you know, the first 39 episodes of the Japanese version were released in 5.1, whereas the rest of the show is in Stereo. Also, the sound effects and dialogue are in channel 3. I hate to say this, but if you want to have audio without the dialogue, you're going to have to go through every episode and every bit of dialogue to remove it all. This is what I did, and it is a very time consuming process.

Dude these are awesome! It really shows what an actual good soundtrack can do for a show. The annoying soundtrack was the dubs biggest downfall, and you've fixed it.

Okay so, weird question, but, what's your honest opinion on the DUB music? I feel honestly while it's not as good as the SUB's, it still has some good tracks (keyword: some)

Not a weird question at all. In fact, it's a pretty good one. I do agree with you that there are some good tracks. The one that comes to mind for me is in the very first episode when the S Team are chasing down Sonic. The cue when it's revealed he's running backwards I like better than just repeating Sonic Drive in the Japanese version. However, with some exceptions, I thought 4Kids' original inhouse music was very repetitive, often uses very catering cues whenever a character speaks, appears or does something (Ella, Tanaka and especially Rouge's were the worst), and overall is quite annoying to listen to at times, ruining the original intended tone of the series. Also, this might be a very unpopular opinion, but I cannot stand "Gotta Go Fast." I understand many out there like it due to its nostalgia and how it's used as an Internet meme today, but I find it to be so irritating. I thought the European opening used in territories, such as the U.K., was much better in comparison, despite how simple and brief it is. But anyways, that's how I feel about 4Kids' music for Sonic X.

@@SuperBlackwing Wow! This almost feels like a Q&A, but I'm still always happy to answer. I'll be honest, I thought Sonic X as a whole was a mixed bag of a show, despite the third season being a fresh feel. Not long after checking the show out back in 2013, I saw exactly how much 4Kids had changed thing when they dubbed it. I wish they hadn't changed the music and other plot points. Then I discovered stea27, who had done what I did with the whole series with Episode 38 as a test. I thought it worked out really well, and wished the whole show was done like this, or someone had made this project. Fast forward to 2017 when I got my first video editing software and got into being a fan editor. I originally began working on a Sonic X project that tried to fix the show and change other elements up. I've posted two samples of some original music intentions on my channel, and another on Vimeo. Unfortunately, later that year, I accidentally lost all my progress on the entire project, and had to restart from scratch, and then put the project on hold to focus on other things. Soon afterwards, the idea of what stea27 had done came back to me, and I figured that it would be much easier and make more sense to restore the Japanese version with 4Kids' English dub. As for how I would handle the show, well, I would love it if Sega and TMS actually put out tons of behind the scenes footage and documentaries on the creation of Sonic X, as it is rare to find that kind of stuff. I do wish the show had went with it's original pilot which saw the characters in Mobius. Anyways, that's what I have to say. You have given me the inspiration to do a Q&A possibly, and I'd be happy to try one out.

I Really wish you would've re-dubbed the scene in the last episode with the Oak Tree and Sonic to change it back to being Dark Oak talking to Sonic instead of Cosmo like it is in the Dub

I wouldn't exactly know how to pull it off real well. I like the idea of Sonic talking to Dark Oak/Lucas instead of Cosmo a lot more, don't get me wrong. However, when I took a look at the translation of the dialogue in the Japanese version, he came across as being petty towards Sonic defeating him. This goes against the scene earlier of him feeling horrible when realizing the terrible actions he's committed, only to have Earthia forgive him and allow him to come with her.

I believed him at the time, but if he really is saying these things to you, then I'm going to have to talk with him again.

Trust me man, KZread copyright claims small channels all the time, even me in fact a Sonic fan game video that I made has been copyright claimed by some random guy because it used Green Hill zones 16 bit and 8 bit version and I even did what I could telling them that this was bs because Sega owns these tracks not the random guys but it's still copyright claimed

Well I believe why I got the strike in February 2020 was because the movie was coming out, and they decided to go after people posting Sonic videos off of other entertainment.

Can someone please confirm if the Japanese and English versions of Sonic X have 5.1 surround sound audio tracks on Hulu? This is very important.

Late but Japan don’t record in 5.1 for tv only for movies so it is probably just the English with 5.1

For the Japanese audio, I ran the Remove Vocals effect. For the English audio, I ran the Isolate Vocals effect, and then Noise Reduction.

There is a channel called "SEGA SONIC," who's uploaded these edits to his channel. I tried asking him if he could please take them down as I'm unhappy he did this without any permission, but hidden myself from his channel. I'm quite pissed about this, as I feel he is claiming they are his, when my name is clearly credited in the end of each one of the episodes.

I know, and I don’t know if there’s anything much I can do about that. Considering he hasn’t posted a video to his channel since I called him out makes me think he’s scared and knows that I’ve caught him, but decided to block me instead. Copyright laws will finish those remaining episodes off since they already took some of them down. If I reported him, then I’d get in trouble for claiming copyrighted material is mine, when it is neither of ours.

The rest of the episodes, for some reason, were in Stereo. You can find a rip of the DVD releases on Internet Archive with the 5.1 audio. Once you get the audio track, just remove the center channel, which is the third of the six channel audio setup.

Even though the first season was my very first introduction to anime, I hate to disappoint you, but I am not a fan of Pokémon and anime in general. I know you want to ask if I'll ever do what I did with Pokémon like I did with Sonic X, but the only reason I made this project is because I am a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog and thought this would be a cool idea to make. Besides, I'm not even that big of a fan of Sonic X. I'm real sorry to disappoint you on this answer. I will say that I actually loved Beastars.
