    If you're going to keep reviewing Basketball shoes then PLEASE actually do basketball tests in them. What is the grip like on an indoor an outdoor court? Do they gather dust quickly and how easy is it to wipe off that dust. Saying "these might cause you foot pain while playing" Means NOTHING if you dont actually have someone reviewing them who ALSO plays in them. How quickly do these stop during transitions?? What is the cushion like during jumps??

    It's just the stuff they do with all shoes. They have a pipeline from the shoes showing up to the video being published and they're not deviating from it, even if testing puncture resistance makes a lot less sense for basketball shoes than work boots. It might feel a bit weird for shoes that are all about performance over durability, but it also means they're doing videos on what they know best, which is shoe construction.

    These are supposed to be one of the best new sneakers for guard style play so it's interesting to see it's just the same old materials applied in a slightly different way. I hope you got the Adidas AE1 in the line up.

    More "design," higher and higher prices, less and less value. In terms of how these shoes hold up, I'd like to know how often the superstars change for new pairs compared to the average consumer, particularly at these prices? I suspect that if we knew the answer to this question it would make people think twice before handing over the plastic.

  • @Ratchetfan321

    @Ratchetfan321

    A decent amount of NBA players swap shoes out every game. It's why they pull out their custom insoles then give the shoes away after the game. The fresh pair has the least amount of chance of failure due to wear and the most response traction wise. Any issue may be fit but they usually have that down before starting a new shoe type for games. No one wears shoes like a pro player of any sport so it's not a really valid comparison. They wear a shoe down in a night more than most people would in a week then thru swap em.

Weston is big into boots and leather, so he reviews all the leather footware and boots. Weston admits he doesn't really know much about sneakers and decided to let this guy host, since otherwise he would just be reading a script this guy wrote, so he might as well let the guy have the credit. I hope that clears things up. It was explained a couple of videos ago.

    I absolutely do not see the sidewalls as a drawback. They are going to crease where your foot naturally creases on its own. So why that would create a pressure point doesn't really make sense cuz it's creasing to contour with your natural foot. Maybe if somebody else put on the shoe after you've already worn it they might get pressure points but I doubt you would

  • @gsmadmax100

    @gsmadmax100

    try wearing gumboots. By default whenever somebody designs a shoe they're supposed to design it with the ergonomics of the wearer in mind. That's why we do things like skiving, it is absolutely plausible that that shape is going to bend with the foot in ways that you don't want it to. But yeah the design brief of this particular item was obviously make it look amazing and then everything else followed from that. I think it's a backwards philosophy. time will tell let's see if these things actually get remade 50 times in the next 20 years?

  • @sinisterthoughts2896

    @sinisterthoughts2896

    Ай бұрын

    Because when they crease they bend in, as into the foot exerting pressure. Creasing means the material is buckling and having to redirect the energy put into it into another direction, in this case the top if the foot. Which happens to be a relatively sensitive area to damage with no natural padding. This is the opposite of breaking in to your shape, it will shape itsself regardless of your foot, your foot will take the wear, not the shoe.

Even as neutrally as you put your comment, that van be devastating to them, especially given how many people are being rude in these comments. Weston is a boot nerd, but doesn't know (or probably care) much about sneakers. This guy is their sneaker guy and Weston wanted him to have the cresit due for being the one who wrote the scripts and doing the research on shoes. Homestly I think it is a really cool thing thry are doing having an expert make the presentation instead of some guy eho doesn't care reading a script. This is more honest.
