@@RollerOfEyes He doesnt like horror movies. Its his choice but there are channels dedicated for it. I think he debugs the main concept we have of what we think its a good movie yet its not. I saw this movie and I thought it was good and i didnt see all those bad acting and lines he pointed out and now I think the movie sucks...that's why Bionic is so good at what he does and needed lol. Yeah, I would like to know an horror movie he would advise us to watch which he thinks he might be a good one but he has explained throughout his many vids what he likes and dislikes and his opinion about jump scares and HM... but I get ya.

9:26 Nuclear power is actually pretty clean unless there's a major incident and the "smokestacks" are steam literally just water much cleaner than burning coal. Weird that M. Night chose nuclear power for this scene instead of fossil fuel.

I heard that Night got his inspiration from a story about a certain algae that can send out a chemical which causes birds to come eat at it if it becomes too overgrown. There could have been an interesting story in nature physically attacking humans and humanity having to protect itself. Idk, guess we’ll never know.

It’s pretty wild, and you’re also right about the last of us thing, also the government actually has a plan in case a fungal contagion spreads and turns people into zombies. Crazy, right?

When I was younger my absolute favorite thing about this movie was the soundtrack, so I remembered this movie as one of my old favorites. Thank you for the reminder that great soundtracks don't always equal good movies. Shoutout to James Newton Howard for carrying this whole movie, I highly recommend his work.

This movie is 10/10 comedy gold 😂 a totally unintentional "horror" comedy and the fact it was unintentional makes it even funnier 😁

I remember watching this when I was little and just being utterly confused, and I can say with certainty that it is still the same

I will admit insidious had it's scary moments with lipstick demon appearing behind the husband's but it also has its funny moments with lipstick demon losing to tiny Tim 😅

I've called this movie "The Crappening" ever since I was halfway through it in an empty movie theater where I got to scream at the idiocy I watched the entire time

This was theeeeee most traumatizing movie I’ve ever seen lmao saw it in Film literature, no warning, sad hormonal teenager in therapy, no bueno lol

the part about waiting for something scary to happen throughout the ENTIRE movie is so accurate. i was young and i couldn't tell if it was too mature and went over my head or if it was just a bad movie lol. all i knew was i was confused. also i totally forgot zoey deschanel was in this movie! i am constantly baffled that she's been reduced to a quirky manic pixie dream girl when she has such range. in this, eulogy, almost famous and elf, all of her characters have such different personalities and roles. 500 days of summer and new girl just totally branded her for some reason

They should have given the role of the men appearing at 8:00 to Nick Cage and in would have been a perfect pick, you can't change my mind

The old lady was Betty Buckley. Fantastic Broadway star from the original (good) Cats when she won a 1983 Tony as Grizabella and popularized the song “Memories” that’s now so hackneyed. She also played Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, as well as Abby in Eight is Enough on tv and a bunch of other stuff. Super-talented.

If you want _good_ jumpscares, David Lynch is the man. The terror he infuses the viewer with goes far beyond shock and he usually holds on whatever it is, instead of cutting around the scare, just for sensory overload.

You know, for as hilarious as this film is, I must confess I was genuinely scared (or at least unsettled) when I first watched the film. I don’t know, there’s something about the premise alone that ticks all my boxes.

I watched this when i was 15 and even i asked myself "why was he talking to a plastic plant?", probably the funniest thing is that this movie confirmed the thought that "Lady in the Water" started about Shyamalan: "Did he got Lucky with Sixth Sense and Unbreakable?"

I remember this moving giving me nightmares as a kid. The only scene I've seen of it is the one where they ram into a tree and that one person go flying, and seeing that as a little 8 year old girl... yeahhh that freaked me out to say the least. Tbh that scene still freaks me out

My mother met Zoey Deschanel or however you spell it, back before this movie came out and she had told my mom what the twist was, that the plants were doing it, and I told my mom, she was fucking with her because that's so stupid. Then I saw the movie and was like, ohhh, its just that stupid and she was just trying to warn my mother not to see it lol.

The only jump scare thats ever gotten me wasn't even in a horror movie. It was in The Lion King(2019) when Nala jumped out of the bushes.

The ryobi mower ad for this was pretty on point. Right has he starts talking about the plants getting angry and killing people. Lawnmower ad."Start a revolution" lol. Then back to the video and he's got a plant covering his face."The revolution has begun" 😂

Loving the idea that their only hope of escape during the apocalypse is SEPTA, and that a town with a regional rail connection to philly could be considered the middle of nowhere

funniest thing about the shot of the nuclear plant, is that nuclear plants are actually environmentally safe (unless the blow up of course).

Imagine M Night directing The Happening 2: Covid edition. We'd have a scene of Mark talking to a face mask and another scene of a wooden politician talking about building walls to keep out the virus cause wind cant go through walls

I wouldn't consider the happening a horror but more sci-fi. If you want a horror that doesn't really do the jump scares but will leave you with an uneasy feeling, I suggest the exorcist. It's old and a little dated but the make up and practical effects to this day dominate anything CGI has been able to do in my opinion. I'd like to see what you think of it.

I saw that horror movie ranking, and question: Where are any of the Friday the 13th movies?

I have always been bothered by the fact that the man getting his arm ripped off by a lion just stands there extending his arm towards the lion like that's the lion's lunch. Fucking hell
