I could not hold back my tears at that man's last words, "He has accepted ALL my gifts". Thanks for creating this reminder of how we should treat others on our heavenly journey.

It was December of 1957 and our entire family of 7 was crammed into a small apartment in Cincinnati, Ohio. We rarely watched TV. But my dad decided we would watch the Fourth Wise Man. It was a magical (in the best sense of the word) experience. Seven of us gathered together in a small apartment living room that had this luxury, a fireplace around which we were gathered while we watched The Fourth Wise Man. And I remember noting that my mom, who was tiny, less than 5 ft. tall, was sitting in my dad's lap. My dad was almost 6 ft. tall. I, the oldest, was 16. None of us forgot that Christmas, in large part because of this wonderful production. Several different times I have read the story out loud to church gatherings which included children and adults. Christmas of 1989, I happened across Henry Vandyke's book, an edition that also included a preface in which VanDyke tells us his story of the birth of this story: birthed after a year of enormous pain. Not all editions of this story include this preface, but it is included in the edition published by the Crossings Book Club in Garden City, NY. \

I have been searching for this movie for years!!! I watched it countless times when it first aired. They showed it annually during Lent, then it suddenly disappeared,. Now, here it is!! Thank You!!!

1:07:14 The most profound part of the film. To me this encapsulates what Christ taught regarding how people are judged. How we treated others, what we did for others.

A very inspiring movie...this serves and teaches everyone to be of servant to the Lord with all humbleness and God-inspired purpose!

This was one of our favorite Christmas stories that our Mother read to us. Dad always played the Wiseman...he was very dramatic, and we always rolled around laughing! He loved that! But, it was not always a happy story, yet it made us happy in a strange way.Years later, we finally understood why our parents never explained.

We were created to know, love, and serve Him. This movie should make us stop and rethink how we are living our lives. Are we doing all we can to help others. To put others always before ourselves and our needs.( Matthew 25:31-46) The ending always brings me to tears. Very good movie to watch.

Sometimes it can be hard to believe the TRUTH. That is why GOD gives all a measure of FAITH. I believe we can even share that, if we are willing to receive it just like a trusting child. GOD IS TRUSTWORTHY AND HIS LOVE NEVER FAILS ❤️‍🔥

Best movie!! I've watched it every Christmas for years.... sometimes even when it's not Christmas!

"We can prevent his execution" as a child it was the greatest crime for me - now it is the greatest sacrifice- he who gives his life will receive it - to reject him is to slander this sacrifice- that is high crime against God. The most beautiful sentence in history : Father into your hands I command my spirit 🤗

Fabulous! Gifts given freed children... what shall we do? My greatest thought is to free those from bondage. Forgive, give freedom to the captive of unforgiveness.... Allow the grace to permeate the souls of all .. if you give freedom, Jesus can enter the heart.

I think people should watch this once a month. Even atheist could relate. You love Jesus by helping others, that's what matters , not all the god and jesus blabber.

Many of us wish we could do something special for God....year after year. And littler things are all we can do. And what we planned to give does go to God but it's always little things. But Jesus does use the little things. The loaves and fish. The widow's mite. It's all worth it to some day hear well done, thou good and faithful servant. Just to hear well done

Out of curiosity, was the word SIR used in this era ?

The bible only says wisemen, not how many. It is true that 3 different kinds of gifts were given but that does not mean there were 3 wisemen nor does it mean there weren't.

Is this the movie the wise man ?

Sometimes it’s good to be good to others but some people taking advantage from others that’s why some of people can’t trust and some of us are selfish. Sometimes I want to be alone than to with people. Only God I can trust.
