Love that Jamerson bassline! BUt is it only me, or do your thumbs also hurt after playing that riff for a while^^

Before the internet and KZread, we learned all of our songs by listening to recordings of the original recordings. we would slow the speed down so that we could distinguish the notes that were being played by either the bass and or straight guitar. No tabs necessary.

The sponge is used to mute the sound of the bass. Less sustain. It is useful to have a motown sound ;)

Good sound , good job, less sustain, you have 1/ 8 rest.

Put the music “into the background” at lower volume. Otherwise, what’s the point of your bass playing? We may as well figure it out ourselves. Geeez!
