And when you do the table top you can streach fully? i mean the more you do it there more you can bend obviously, how long does it take to build nice flexibility? i love doing them btw :)
This 57 year old has just got to 21 rounds so proud .

I'm curious how you do them, do you do 21 of each thing? Or have you made it a solid movement that one round of movements is one. I have been thinking about that. Let me know please :)
I have been doing these Rites since 1990 every morning. Like you I have added what I call the 5 Tibetan Plus, natural moves for me that fit with the 5. My routine takes about 30minutes and I am stronger today then I was 30 years ago. I am in my late 60's :-)

Please advise where to reach the breath- up to the lungs or to the diaphragm. I am 71 yrs old and have been doing for more than I1 year.
5 Tibetans for me are totally precious gem. I do it every day ( 3 rounds 7reps each exercise) as a morning routine, about 4 years. In 4 years I got a very nice toned body with amazing mobility and flexibility. Great stuff. I recommend them for everyone
I'm 76 and have incorporated this routine into my daily yoga practice. I do these every morning. I'm up to 19. I started out with 3 and increased 1 each week. I believe that proper breathing, strength, and flexibility are the keys to a healthy body (as well as what you put into your body). As far as the spinning, I am surprised that as you progress, you get less and less dizzy. It has to be good for balance.
First of all thanks for the demostration. This is one of the good videos I've seen and the view is wonderful. I have been doing these exercises since 2000 or so on and off. In the last three months I began to do at least 5 times a week. The whole 21 set takes about 5-6 minutes and very easy to do once you began doing each day. And it definetly gives energy and makes you feel real good. One trick may be doing it like in the evening when you feel most low (if you are to stay awake till 12-1 especially) Believe me doing these plus a nice 4-5km walk each day is all you need.
Beautiful! Thanks! Been doing them since college:) In the second rite, the head and legs should be raised simultaneously at least that's the way I was taught and been doing them. Cheers:)
I believe it is really important to highlight the breathing more, it really makes a difference in this exercise.

I breathe in when moving the head up, in the last exercise. I breathe out when raising my bottom. Is that correct? Please tell me because I've been doing it like that for years.

Yes if you time the movements with your breathing whilst sensing the corresponding chacra , after awhile you can feel it activating.

Yes and some breathing is exactly the opposite to what we do in yoga, like for the up/down dog.

Did you start out doing 21? I want to start but don’t want to get discouraged in the beginning if 21 is too much at age 72.
@johntheroux832
5 ай бұрын
Starting out at 21 is more than likely too much. If I remember correctly I started out at 10 and then added 2 each week until I got to 21. I should note that a few years back I had to have a pacemaker installed due to low heartbeat pulse (bradycardia). At that time I pretty much sarted over at 10 again and added a couple each week. If one overdoes it, it's easy to get discouraged as you suggested. Good luck with the rites, it's worth it regardless of age. @@lindaniemeyer7575
My husband and I swear by these exercises!! I got rid of painful sciatica suffered 3 days...husband said...do my exercises...Bam...even just 1 set of doing half assed...when I got up from floor...TOTALLY GONE! Then year later had out of this world head ache (blessed at 72 to never get headaches) but this was a doozy! Again, husband said...do my exercises...did 1 set..again half assed...got up praying all the way back to couch...I sat on couch waiting...waiting...GONE...NATTA!! Just hour ago...husband that had been suffering for 4 days with shoulder pain and no chiros were available on Thursdays! So after using all the oils and zapper and different things to help...to no avail...guess what I said...go do your exercises! He did and hallelujah!!!! He walked back into kitchen standing straight up and no sharp pain...just a tiny something that was nothing compared to last 4 days! These guys do a great, quick easy job of explaining how simple it is. EVERYONE should do these exercises EVERYDAY! We sure are now...kind of forgot about them...but never again!!! ..
tried these about forty years ago and wasn't convinced-harder now, of course, but somehow they make sense; thank you for nice video and clear instructions!
Just learned this last night and glad to have found the appealing outdoor version from you guys.

Best execution of the 5 rites I've found so far. Used to practice 'religiously' up until about seven years ago. Fell out of the habit and into the inverse of wellness. Only up to 12 reps but feeling the benefits already - inside and out. 😊
Love your demonstration! Beautiful video! Thank you 😍
What an amazing experience must have been to practice Tibetan rites in this terrain. Excellent performed btw, one of the very few vids that are spot on.
Love it!! I’v.ve been doing it for 10 years or more!! I teach it in my yoga classes. Great video and booklet download!
Thanks for this wonderful demonstration. My wife and I in New Zealand have been doing the Tibetan Rites for many years on and off as part of our daily practice. This is encouraging us to start again and we have sent the link to our grandsons in the UK.

This is very cool. I'ma tell you why. This works! I have 20 years pumping iron or more. Gave it up for yoga two years ago. I'm saying for me it was a little challenging and my breathing was way up. Which I love. I'm so happy to have discovered this. So much has been hidden . Thanks to you all.

Perfect
this is SOOO BeautyFull!! I have also been doing this for over 25 years....off and on...have not been consistent...but mostly...when I do it, I add alot of additional stretches and ballet poses in between the "Rites".....the guy, his friend has great POSTURE, but his FORM is wrong, respectfully, the poses MUST BE HELD as long as possible,,,,,,,and the thryroid,,,i..e the neck that is the key gland to make sure you do a slow "pump" BACK AND DOWN...all of these rites ARE BUILT on the endocrine system...ie. activating GLANDS....so you want to "slow pump" the move and EXTEND the HOLD..so as to work the GLANDS
I’m reading Breath right now.
The breathing part of the rites is very important
The so-called "5 Tibetan rites" are pleasant - and probably efficient in a certain extent - to practice, but, for your information, they have nothing to do with Tibet ! They are the invention of a western occultist (most likely close to - or from - the Theosophical Society) in the first half of the twentieth century. There is a Tibetan yoga, but it is very different from the "5 Tibetan rites"... It is called Nejang yoga. You can find demonstrations on YT by dr Nida Chenagtsang or Christiana Polites. Anyway, thanks a lot for your clear and complete explanation as well as for the beautiful booklet that you make available. 🙏
Great video except there's very little emphasis on breath, no mention of when to inhale and exhale in the last 2 rites...
The breath is important to not stop breathing. I found the spinning in the Southern Hemisphere should go anti clockwise. The first exercise is said to go together slow down. The fourth exercise it says ,that with out stopping to breath you tighten for a split second all muscles. Then relax when you sit and then start again. The book is from Peter Kelder.
I’m up to 15/ day age 69. Feeling strong and flexible.
I'm here after reading Life & Breath by Lee Fogle
Yep. Me too
Cmon do the full twenty one ☝️
Careful with the spinning exercise, I ended up leaving the ground for a couple of seconds when I went too quick
Super it is a mix of yogic asanas.. Suriya Namaskar , Yoga Nidra etc
Thanks for sharing...could you please help me to reach the documents you mentioned? I googled but couldn’t find.
Would you please provide the link for your “movement guide”? Thanks for this video!
Sorry - was having a glitch, now I’ve got it!
Hey! Im grateful to have seen the way you guys do this. Gives me something to shoot for. How do you do the in-and-out breaths for the rites?

3 жыл бұрын
@@charlieosko4151 hi Charlie! Yes I worked up to 21 of each pose in increments of 3. So for one week I did all 5 rites 3 times, then the next week I added 3 more so week two I was so each rite 6 times and so on until I could do each rite 21 times 😝😳🤣. It’s a full workout for me and I’m sweating and my heart rate is elevated. I like it though and I feel stronger and more flexible. I’m 50+ 😉 years old so it helps in many ways physically and mentally! Good luck!
@saraheliza7779

@@charlieosko4151 also I’m still new so my poses aren’t as deep as his are and I take my time to get the breath and pose correct each time so I take longer to finish the full set. Like I can’t bend back as far as he does because my thighs are tight but I open my chest and try with my intention each time! 🤷🏻♀️
Doing the 3rd rite while pressing your thighs and hips against a wall makes it harder. You’ll really feel the burn in your glúteos and especially the thighs.
I'll be honest : can't focus on this video because this handsome man who's speaking is totally distracting me. I solved the "Problem" :) just previewed to the first rite. :) But now there's second problem: the beautiful landscape. AWWW. (:
I did them this morning. It made me realize I'm not as flexible as I thought. Are there any stretching exercises you would recommend to work on flexibility so that I may perform the rites the way they are meant to be done.
Not sure, if this man is doing those exercises correctly. The essence of those exercises is the right combination of movement with breath synchronization.
love the video and inspired! Where can I download the guide? The link on the video gives an error
👍🏼
These days the number of reps for these 5TR has been changed up to 4 years ago each right was done 21 times , I’m so surprised to se in the last 3 videos I have seen from 3 reps trump 9 while what I learned is 21 reps each
Love this. There is only one video other than yours that is easy to follow. Are you in N India in this video? If not, then where? I lived off grid in a converted bus in N. Arizona for several years. Loved the mountains. I’ll go back one day.❤️🙏
