The Foods that REALLY Fix Your Gut with Dr. Steven Gundry
Ғылым және технология
How to heal your microbiome; the problem with fibre; and why it’s good to be gassy.
“We’ve done a pretty good job of trying to annihilate the most important part of us, and that's our microbiome. But the good news is that you can develop a good relationship with [it] and save your life if you're interested.” - Steven Gundry, M.D.
Whether it’s headaches, anxiety, heart problems, diabetes or cancer, most disease starts in the gut (especially if it’s a leaky gut). But finding a fix can be confusing-what exactly are you meant to eat?
Dr. Steven Gundry, a cardiothoracic surgeon by profession, pivoted his career after decades of treating heart patients to focus on food, nutrition and the gut.
After watching a patient recover from “untreatable” coronary artery disease through diet and supplements, what he once considered pseudoscience became the answer to many health problems.
Beginning with The Plant Paradox, Dr. Gundry has authored numerous bestselling books on how to eat to make nice with your gut and improve your energy. His latest, Gut Check: Unleash the Power of Your Microbiome to Reverse Disease and Transform Your Mental, Physical, and Emotional Health, goes even further into the influences of the microbiome on your mood and emotions. He also makes eating for gut health easier than ever before.
In this episode, Dr. Gundry explains how the gut is so deeply connected to our emotional and physical health, why he strongly believes in the power of supplements for regaining control over your health, and what exactly we should be adding to our diets to feed our microbiome.

yes, you're right, however if you drink enough mineralised water, and eat healthy, and have a good gut, phytic acid isnt an issue tbh

So beef, mutton, pork and most milk should be avoided because of NEU5GC ?

pasture-raised grass fed beef and mutton are O.K

all beef, mutton, pork have Neu5Gc lectin binding sugar, whether grass fed or conventionally fed. pasture-raised grass fed animals have a healthier fatty acid profile than grain fed animals & avoid the lectins, glyphosphate, herbicides, pesticides that the plants were exposed to if you are trying to avoid the autoimmune reactions that may occur due to molecular mimicry to Neu5Gc, you can avoid or reduce the amount of meat that you eat. if your immune system is already reactive, you should avoid it you can eat fermented animal products as the bacteria eat sugar, including the NEU5GC. hence fermented sausage, cheese (hard cheese), yogurt, kefir are possibilities. if longevity is your goal, then limiting the amount of meat will keep your IGF-1, insulin growth factor, low as well as reduce your changes for cancer poultry, fish, shellfish, molluscs, elephants, humans have the Neu5Ac sugar
