Small piece of land or even just a container garden to grow something, your neighbors each grow something as well, and you trade. I would love to see us get back to doing this 🙏 Problem is the ‘government’ wants to ‘keep us safe’ by regulating and not allowing us to choose (aka they fine, tax, take away your rights and resources), just like we can’t get our own milk from our neighbor’s cows… Yet this fraud like in this documentary is rampant, all while the FDA is ‘keeping us safe’ 😳 (meanwhile cancer, adhd, autism, once-rare and strange diseases and pandemics are now ‘normal’). Freaky scary- and we should all be concerned but- we gave away our freedoms for- safety. 🤮

It's still happening in South Africa. Last year and few years before people that are called "myFriend" in South Africa has shops all over South Africa and they sell counterfeit products on a regular. Sometimes shops are closed by community when kids fall sick but few days later shops are open again. Mainly cos South African Department of Health allowed this to happen and to keep happening

@@ENDEVRDocs Can we even trust the local farmers? I heard that even the "organic" farmers put some pesticides in their crops. I try gardening and let me tell you, it was hard, fighting diseases, bugs, and having to water constantly and yes, I had to use some kind of "organic" pesticide to keep my plants going. I don't know what the best thing to do anymore. I just want to eat healthy without worrying about the source of my food.

Whenever I ask the shelf packers why a product is out of stock at a well known supermarket where I live, they tell me the suppliers are out of stock. Every Single Time. I shop at this particular store often so the manager knows me. I thought I'd ask him one time why there isn't stock of a particular product and he said the Suppliers Are Out Of Stock. I just laughed. It was either laugh or cry but we should be crying.

Glad I live in Africa where I eat what is living ... no processed foods for the majority of us ... live chicken, beef. Fresh spices ...

You should talk more about the olive oil. I bought a bottle of olive oil and didn’t realize it was a “blend” of several olive oils, it was not the same taste as real olive oil in cooking. I’m old enough to know and remember how real olive oil tastes in cook.

If you go to a good shop like Harrods or some other 'high class retailer' you will find bottles of proper 'olive oil' what do you expect when you shop in places like Tesco and Lidl

Realistically, 95% of the extra virgin olive oil you will buy in the US is not extra virgin. much of it is just regular olive oil, a quite a bit of it mixed with cheaper oils.

Well really the big busts that they had was only chump change in money. 7 million in one and I believe 12 million in the second. When you're thinking about how many people are involved to distribute that 7 million dollars, It really seems to be more work to do it illegally.

Nah. Beef is so cheap to produce in the industrialized meat packing industry, using most other meat (including human) would cost far, far more. All these legends about hamburgers containing worms or kangaroo wouldn't make sense. Horse meat is cheaper in some countries, though, so THAT fraud makes sense.

The only frozen food I eat is pizza (cause let's be honest, it's the best invention for a lazy evening), so I never had to think about it. And I think in general I'm pretty educated on the subject of food, like how the colour of most meat we buy is artificially created, but quite honestly - even with all that being the case for me, there's just no way you'll never eat something you weren't aware of lol I think what annoys me the most is that I'm quite paranoid of "getting got". Being healthy, sure. That's great and all, but nothing hurts my health more than this sense of pride lol

I stopped eating the lasagna and stuff cos without the horse meat, its not as nice...

Time to stop eating food and go on constant fasting and diet

No new news here for me I knew all about this, and the only part that really bothers me is the chance of putting diseased meat out on the market. Anyone even partially connected to that needs jail time. Mislabeling food is one thing, putting potentially hazardous food that could kill people or make them sick out there is quite another.

Where I live there is a specialist olive oil store. He only sells organic olive oil. I always buy mine there but I've never thought to ask him if he ever does spot checks and tests random bottles. I doubt that he does bc specialist stores like his don't make a fortune unlike supermarkets do.

I find this funny. I've been a vegan 20+ years. It's like vegans complaining "oh no my bag of almonds has 1% walnuts!!!" lol Eat your horse meat. What's the difference cow with some horse meat. Do you know what else is in ground beef? As one meat factory worker wrote on reddit "if you eaten at least 4 burgers in your life, you ate cow poop"
