I have a been long advocate for Ghumante team, but this video doesn't do justice to Madhesh food. No location where the food originates or mention in the description. I may sound condescending but a better longer version is well deserved by the audience. Love your work. Thank you!!

Thanks. Yes, this is actually our video for Imagine Nepal where we had time constraints and had to showcase the whole of Madheshi Cuisine in under 8-9 mins. Our longer usual styles videos are on the way. We already have two episodes live. Next one coming this week 🙂

"Maach, makhaan, Paan" The makhaan he mentioned is not butter. It's called Lotus seed or Foxnuts in English. Maithils use it as offerings (Prasaad) during Puja. During Kojagra Poornima, newly wed Maithil grooms and their family celebrate it & there's also the use of makhaan that comes from the brides' families during the celebration. Maithils make pudding (kheer) of makhaan and some also make curry of makhaan aaloo (potato).

There is no Madhesh in Nepal. There is only Terai. Stop calling Terai Madhesh. Madhesh = Madhya Desh is somewhere in India along the banks of Ganga river.

@@Ghumante Shouldn't you be more responsible before releasing your videos? Do a thorough study on the subject you are presenting beforehand. And when are you guys going to do anything about educating nepalese mass about preservation of traditional houses that are quickly disappearing? You guys go to villages that still have some traditional nepalese houses. I think you should focus on this part and spend 4-5 minutes on each video on this aspect.
