The Florence Experience: Peak Renaissance Italy 🇮🇹

■ ITALY, FLORENCE: It's been 5 years since my first and only visit to Florence, the former Italian city state that kicked of the renaissance. Since that Florence excursion, I've been eager to experience the city during winter. January and February are the best months to avoid the crowds of foreign tourists in Italy, as there are hardly any queues anywhere, whether at Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi gallery or the top rated Florentine steakhouses in town.
After landing in Rome and jumping on the airport express train to downtown, I switched to a high speed train going direct to Florence. It takes 2 hours and cost 80 Euros for a business class seat. Arriving in Florence, I walked to the famous cathedral where I had found an exquisitely decorated renaissance themed apartment on AirbnB with view of the cathedral from the bedroom window.
Did the renaissance apartment live up to expectations? Were the queues at Palazzo Vecchio, Bruneleschi's dome and Ponte Vecchio really gone? Was Florentine steak as good as I remembered? Do I still not know a single word of Italian?
This and much more is what I seek to uncover in this renaissance history and food investigation of Florence in winter of 2024 🇮🇹

The tour guide was amazing. I've been around a few and some can be disinterested or annoying, she was awesome.

Cavaliere Haraldo Baldieri I was there in Florence four months ago and I took the steps in Brunelesci's doom and also the steps of Brunelesci's campanile. For me, Florence is the most beautiful city of the philosophy of the arts of the renaissance era. there are great wibes and positive energy and the concept of beauty is everywhere, art and beauty are breathed here. 5 years ago I was looking on KZread for something about Florence and I discovered Haraldo attacked by 2 criminals in the city center and Haraldo was asking for help from the Carabinieri in Fierence, and the carabinieri doesn't understand the situation
