iK1NG Sabrina Guzman have to agree they are so well put together but for the fact that they are indie puts them into a genre that portraits them as being silly and worthless. I think people need to understand that even though it isn't big budgeted it's still worth the time. Just like journey yea i finished it in two hours but I have a lot of fun playing it and even some points in which I was quite overwhelmed with the emotion that was shown as the character. 8$ is nothing for something that you can enjoy over and over.

I am the same, Mark. I love the minimalistisc style of many indie games out there, especially 2D platforms and often people only pay attention to the biggest AAA titles of the year. The one thing I love about your channel is that you vary so much between genres that I can always expect to find interesting games here. I love the fact almost anyone these days, with hard work and passion, can produce a game and display their artistic visions because I love original ideas and concepts. I wish I had the money to play more games, but for now I'll watch you play them!
Yeah, it's fun to what Mark rage and scream like a banshee, but it's really interesting when hen has something deep to say about a game he's playing.
Honestly mark is the only youtuber ( that I know of ) who actually talks about the game and ways to improve from it and learn for future game developer. That's why I really enjoy watching mark because once I get around to making a game, I know some good points. Extremely useful!

I have to be honest. When you moved to LA, I noticed that your content changed a bit. You goofed off a bit more than usual and it was getting a bit on the rough side, but I still watched. In the past few weeks, you've been going a bit back to your older style which is playing games, goofing off and having real commentary. And while I laughed my ass off with stuff like Goat Simulator and Turbo Dismount, I really enjoy playthroughs like this more, where you combine your sillyness with your philosophical side. Commenting on the more important things and not just laughing for the sake of getting us to laugh with you. Keep it up, don't stop the silly games, but have more of this and please, more sketch comedy vids! :D

GlobalRyot To me the music just gives off a feeling of spaciousness because of its long drawn out musical notes. And it expresses how few people are out there, because there's really nothing for the notes to touch (as expressed by how long and drawn out they are) as they yearn for someone, at least one person to find. They keep searching, stretching across the musical sheets as they do across the endless realm of Minecraft. *Drinks beer on pedestal of a stage as audience snaps their fingers*

I don't know why, but the last stage Mark played gave me such a calming feeling. It was like an overwhelming sense of happiness. The music and the background, it was too much. It felt like I was floating for some odd reason? Like I was in Heaven, or some shit. I sound like a weirdo but that's what it did and I liked it.
Getting a little bit scientific here, bit is really cool how the bouncing works of you think about it. It actually takes constructive and deconstructive interference into account to either push you higher or dampen your height when you jump. I haven't seen that in a game before. Is a pretty cool physics thing that could probably be done more often.

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to sound hateful towards Markiplier, he's a great guy.. I just think he's being a little too forgiving on many bad first person games and too hesitant on some other great genres. Like, back in the Witch's House lp he admited that he had been hesitant to play RPG Maker games, but that that game totally changed his mind on the genre.
Despite the rage, this is so relaxing, I love the music!
Seeing these old videos helps me sleep at night.. Markiplier has grown so much but I still love these simple old videos
I happen to really like it when you get all philosophical and serious. Yeah your crazy Happy Wheels or rage game videos are funny, and I love them for that, but sometimes it's really nice to see you just step back, take a breathe, and be yourself.
I recently saw a a vid by Ashens in which he unboxes a Loot Crate, the very same one that featured Markiplier. In the comments, people were going apeshit, saying that Mark is just a random, doh-ho-ho kind of LPer with absolutely no redeeming qualities, even though I kept saying that he does plenty of charity type things. "But it's just a publicity stunt!" I heard them say. God, it pisses me off when people take things at face value instead of getting the finer details.
@klassikerreview4170
10 жыл бұрын
I just looked it up. Well, with publicity, there is hate. To be fair though, they hate on all LPers, so it is kind of dumb from the start since they say, LPs are bullshit in general.

i feel like its worth mentioning that in that video itself ashens never hates on LPers just says it isnt his style its his commentators that say that stuff, felt i had to add that i like ashens alot and wouldnt want to see someone mistaking this as him saying it too and then never check him out
Oh...my goodness. The music that lead up to the character finally being home, combined with the sunset background, combined with the flowers that you jump on that struck tones that were complimentary to the swelling chord behind it.....just a true work of art. Really. Wow.
Listening to you speak about something you enjoy talking about along with the calming effect of the soundtrack was extremely soothing. Earlier my mum asked me why I enjoy watching people play games on here, but I couldn't find the words to express the feeling of belonging and being valued that watching your videos fills me with. I normally don't feel much... But when I watch these I laugh and smile, cry and shriek, and I feel so much more than I do out here in the real world. Even when you're just screaming your rage to the world, you can make me happy. Please keep on doing what you do. Know that we need you.

love is the greatest burden isn't it? it latches on your heart and tug and tugs till you give in. it is hard going through and losing relationships. to feel so complete and to pour so much of yourself into someone and have them to just leave you in the dust to be swept in the wind... I have had this done a few times. I am a long relationship kind of guy and well, we all want our relationships to last forever, but what helps me get through those times is staying up at night and laying down in the damp grass after a good storm and just watching the sky move. feeling the earth spin and smelling the life growing around you. it may be temporary, it may only help me; maybe I'm just a different kind of guy. when I am down, nothing helps me more than smiling with a friend or taking sometime to enjoy the precious would we forget we have everyday. I wish you the best and if you two don't patch things up, try finding someone who is willing to take you in and never look back. I truly wish you the best and don't forget Mark is your friend too.

I thought the Flayed Ones were the blood gods, served by Bloodseeker... Oh, wait. That's Dota 2 lore.

I have to say, I REALLY enjoy hearing you talk about game design. Way more than Arin. Because you´re not just like "MODERN GAMES SUCK"

I completely agree, there is a lot of modern games that are truly works of art.
The music is sooooo nice. A stark contrast to Mark's endless screams. xD But still, I come back to this video a couple times even after a few years. It's kind of nostalgic somehow.
The talk Mark gave us in this video about music in games, was quite deep - even poetic at times :) Loved to see this side of him
The elevator reminds me of the police box from doctor who!!!!!

The character in this video kinda reminded me of super meat boy lol
The blood god is Khorne. However there is a Lovecraftian god by the name of Shub-Nigguroth. Maybe that's who you were thinking of?

There's also a gelatinous Lovecratian race of monstrosities called Shoggoths, which fit very well into this game.

The fact that a jelly ring ate some Pac-Man orbs and made a universe is kinda adorable.

It's a slightly challenging platform game, not a rage game. I liked it when you showed your true emotions. There was a lot of fake rage there.
3 minutes in and Mark still has no idea what physics are. Quality lets play video :D This is both high entertaining and highly frustrating. God. Damnit. Mark.

Mark has obviously never been on a trampoline!~
These were Mark's funniest times like around when fnaf came out and when he did the wax and wasabi challenges.
It's really weird watching Markiplier's old content because he's gotten a lot more laid back and less energetic over the years. I feel like he's toned it down, and has gotten a lot less cringe! I like it.

Weirdly this is still one of my favorite mark vids. Can't believe its been 7 years.

its one of my favorites because I remember loving how deeply he had talked about a couple things in this vid. It was the first time i remembered him letting his true thoughts out instead of feeling the need to be entertaining the whole time (screaming lol), even if it hadn't lasted long before he got a complex about it and returned to his goofy self. I had wished he did that more often and now hes grown and does just that.
