I mean..... Godspeed vs virtue was stupid when she stopped all her clones. Zoom vs Khione - Zoom is insanely badass (my fav villain of ALL time) but Khione is a goddess. Makes sense. Nora vs Godspeed - could have been longer. Nora is a speedster herself so can possibly defeat savitar Allegra just blasted everything. Every fight almost makes sense Not saying it was good or even decent writing. Should NOT have went in that direction.

If he had, he would have quit the show 8 years ago. Because no one who gives a real shit about a character with so much potential would be cool with this kind of hilarious CW bullshit. Just look at Henry Caviil in The Witcher. And even gay gustin must have noticed (hopefully since the beginning) that the writing is more than terrible, absolutely inconsistent and requires an audience with at least 30 chromosomes to be seen as a "pretty solid" or even "good" show..

i have a Better script for the finale: Cobalt blue revives godspeed, Savitar, reverse flash and zoom and teams up to fight against Barry using the cobalt blue crystal and gives them full access to the negative speed force using cobalt blue crystal. Team flash and team cobalt blue starts fighting but in team flash only khione was strong enough to stand up against those villainous speedsters but villains almost killed all the other members of team flash so khione have use her powers to keep them alive leaving Barry bloodlusted and alone totally and Villains starts chasing him across the streets. We see a 20/30 minutes long battle where villains chased Barry from all directions, godspeed showing his true speed and being in two places at the same moment like I'm comics and making his multiple clones, reverse flash making his speed mirage, zoom making his time remnants, Cobalt blue using his different kinds of abilities, Savitar showing his true potential and all of them using different kinds of speed force constructs and Barry was dodging their attacks. All the speedsters running so fast that they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to the natural forces all at once! At the end Barry has to give up being a pure hero and go for killing them as he has no choice at all and the final ending fight takes place which is a boundary between the negative and the positive forces. All the characters reached their maximum top speed at last (all being much faster than the speed of light because of which they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to natural forces), and flash being still the fastest among all of them proving that he is the fastest man in the entire multiverse! At last flash finally goes for kill and kills all the villains except eddie leaving Eddie alone and helpless. Barry tries to talk with Eddie to stop being the cobalt blue avatar but his hatred is not over yet so he doesn't give up. But at last Barry manages to remove the cobalt blue crystal from Cobalt blue suit and Barry destroys the crystal but in doing that he ends up erasing Eddie thawne accidentally as cobalt blue crystal was the reason of his existence. Barry got completely shattered with the death of Eddie thawne once again. Then Barry decides to eliminate the negative forces completely. But removing negative forces will disturb multiversal balance. So Barry runs into his full potential (showing his infinite speeds) and generates infinite amount of lightning, floods the negative forces and positive forces with his lightning that both forces got emerged and turned in a single neutral forces of the nature. Then Barry come into the present and up to that time khione manages to heal all injured people completely. Iris gives birth to Nora. Then the team flash unites for the last time in a party (joe,Cisco with kamilla, Singh, Kramer, Ralph being married with sue Dearbon all came into the gathering along with other members of the team flash and khione). Barry tells the team to flash about his fight and his decision of going for the kill and at last accidentally erasing Eddie thawne from existence. Joe comforts Barry by saying, "killing for good cause is not killing, it's saving people and that's what you always do Barry". Then Barry starts feeling better and recovers from the trauma he got by accidentally erasing Eddie. Team flash enjoys the party where Joe proposes to Cecile. Khione reveals that she is the life force to team flash. She says goodbye to team flash and leaves Catlin's body and life forces disappear in the cosmos. Team flash was happy to see Catlin. Then Cisco, Catlin and Barry hug each other (season 1 team flash reference). Each member of the flash now decides to move on and gets separated. Cecile with Joe, barry with iris, allegra and Chester marries and everyone now starts focussing on their lives. Barry, allegra, Cecile, Ralph still pursues their other life of being the hero by stopping the crimes near them. Star labs was turned into Flash museum by the government and made open for the public. Then we see Barry's family in 2049 where iris, bart, nora, all doing their jobs. Here we see Barry goes into space with the DCEU Justice League and goes to another universe for a mission and he meets DCEU flash again! Then we see the scene from the 22nd century where Flash saves the crowd from a bridge which was getting collapsed, stealing Thawne's moment of being the hero which develops a never ending hatred for Barry. Thawne now decides to dedicate his life to kill Barry. (This scene marks the end of the Flash season 9)

​@@masonbtw9081 I guess due to all timeline changes since crisis, there isn't really any knowing if the future is constant, so I guess this ending changed it. Also, we already have seen Thawne return so many times, not from the future where he is betrayed, but rather from different time travel issues, that I don't even care.

The reverse flash controlled barrys life for over 15 years, and haunted barry for basically the rest of it. Zoom held 2 worlds hostage for over a year. Savitar was powerful enough to bring speedsters to the brink of death while being trapped in a prison, manipulated everyone in team flash, and couldn’t be stopped by even time travel from carrying out his plan. Godspeed, I mean, was never really good but Barry still needed his greatest enemies help to defeat him. Zoom could put two planets at their knees but couldn’t beat a weather girl who has been alive shorter than joes daughter. Godspeed could cause a citywide war but was defeated by a woman in her 50’s whose power is the power of feelings, and savitar, essentially the flash himself, who couldnt be defeated even when faced by kid flash, jesse quick, the fladh, and jay garrick, lost because his reflexes were too slow? The reverse flash, who “never dies” and “always comes back” and is quite literally barrys one true villain to top them all, one that he has been fighting for the last 9 years, whose fight with the flash is so insane it surpasses mutliple timelines, is defeater by a sad light girl? And Barrys greatest enemies, speedsters, chase after his team and dont chase barry, or even talk to him? What?

Especially ironic considering in comics, that was Zoom's story: He was actually the Flash's (Wally West) friend, who got crippled and stuck in a wheelchair, and then worked to improve him to be a better hero.

There's so many potential fun interactions that could've been written with all the other evil speedsters finding out that they're working with a version of a man they hate so much. Grant Gustin and Tom Cavanagh really carried the show. The way those two acted even with bad script.

Three things: 1. Grant been acting his butt off in this show for 9 years. Can’t wait for what he does next. 2. Didn’t Eddie already make peace with the fact he was never going to be with Iris before he died? It feels like that fact kinda got glossed over. 3. WHERE TF WAS CISCO? Like they at least could’ve mentioned his name or show a flashback or reminisce on a memory or something.

for number 2, that was the crystal/negative speed-force tricking him. That's why at the end he was able to get out of the control and be back to how he was before he died. Being at peace with it.

Cisco and Ralph were the best side characters in this show (from the good guys), when they dropped out the show went downhill. It is a shame they didn't get any recognition in the last episode. (I know Ralph got cancelled IRL but still...)

Fans: Why did you bring the old villains back and not use them? Eric Wallace: To give people hope, so i could rip it away.

My problem with Cecil, on top of what already was mentioned, was that she always announced she could feel what ever emotion was being felt. The other members of the team already know her powers & they added that sound for us viewers to know when her power activates. So she doesn’t need to announce it all the time. She’s always announcing “I feel…or I senses…sudden waive of *enter any emotion*…” just say something like, “I understand what or how you’re feeling right now“ or something less abrupt. I get it makes sense in some scenarios, but it got so annoying when she would say it nearly every time she used her powers. Just mentioned the emotion your feeling without making a big announcement about it. She would be so extra with some times.

i have a Better script for the finale: Cobalt blue revives godspeed, Savitar, reverse flash and zoom and teams up to fight against Barry using the cobalt blue crystal and gives them full access to the negative speed force using cobalt blue crystal. Team flash and team cobalt blue starts fighting but in team flash only khione was strong enough to stand up against those villainous speedsters but villains almost killed all the other members of team flash so khione have use her powers to keep them alive leaving Barry bloodlusted and alone totally and Villains starts chasing him across the streets. We see a 20/30 minutes long battle where villains chased Barry from all directions, godspeed showing his true speed and being in two places at the same moment like I'm comics and making his multiple clones, reverse flash making his speed mirage, zoom making his time remnants, Cobalt blue using his different kinds of abilities, Savitar showing his true potential and all of them using different kinds of speed force constructs and Barry was dodging their attacks. All the speedsters running so fast that they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to the natural forces all at once! At the end Barry has to give up being a pure hero and go for killing them as he has no choice at all and the final ending fight takes place which is a boundary between the negative and the positive forces. All the characters reached their maximum top speed at last (all being much faster than the speed of light because of which they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to natural forces), and flash being still the fastest among all of them proving that he is the fastest man in the entire multiverse! At last flash finally goes for kill and kills all the villains except eddie leaving Eddie alone and helpless. Barry tries to talk with Eddie to stop being the cobalt blue avatar but his hatred is not over yet so he doesn't give up. But at last Barry manages to remove the cobalt blue crystal from Cobalt blue suit and Barry destroys the crystal but in doing that he ends up erasing Eddie thawne accidentally as cobalt blue crystal was the reason of his existence. Barry got completely shattered with the death of Eddie thawne once again. Then Barry decides to eliminate the negative forces completely. But removing negative forces will disturb multiversal balance. So Barry runs into his full potential (showing his infinite speeds) and generates infinite amount of lightning, floods the negative forces and positive forces with his lightning that both forces got emerged and turned in a single neutral forces of the nature. Then Barry come into the present and up to that time khione manages to heal all injured people completely. Iris gives birth to Nora. Then the team flash unites for the last time in a party (joe,Cisco with kamilla, Singh, Kramer, Ralph being married with sue Dearbon all came into the gathering along with other members of the team flash and khione). Barry tells the team to flash about his fight and his decision of going for the kill and at last accidentally erasing Eddie thawne from existence. Joe comforts Barry by saying, "killing for good cause is not killing, it's saving people and that's what you always do Barry". Then Barry starts feeling better and recovers from the trauma he got by accidentally erasing Eddie. Team flash enjoys the party where Joe proposes to Cecile. Khione reveals that she is the life force to team flash. She says goodbye to team flash and leaves Catlin's body and life forces disappear in the cosmos. Team flash was happy to see Catlin. Then Cisco, Catlin and Barry hug each other (season 1 team flash reference). Each member of the flash now decides to move on and gets separated. Cecile with Joe, barry with iris, allegra and Chester marries and everyone now starts focussing on their lives. Barry, allegra, Cecile, Ralph still pursues their other life of being the hero by stopping the crimes near them. Star labs was turned into Flash museum by the government and made open for the public. Then we see Barry's family in 2049 where iris, bart, nora, all doing their jobs. Here we see Barry goes into space with the DCEU Justice League and goes to another universe for a mission and he meets DCEU flash again! Then we see the scene from the 22nd century where Flash saves the crowd from a bridge which was getting collapsed, stealing Thawne's moment of being the hero which develops a never ending hatred for Barry. Thawne now decides to dedicate his life to kill Barry. (This scene marks the end of the Flash season 9)

2 things I do like about this episode. 1. Eddie being the final villian could habe been verry symbolic as he endee season one and could have ended the show by reliving that sacrifice and coming into realization that his rebirth was unatural. Just kinda have him back for closure. 2. The godspped and cecile fight, not because it was good but because they put the worse charecters together so I could just fast forward through those parts.

Ive been watching the Arrowverse shows since about 2015, ive never thought they were amazing but i loved them because of their goofy cheesey charm, however im glad to see that im not the only one that realises how bad the shows got in the later seasons, and yes this episode was truly an incredibly disappointing way to end a saga thats been a huge part of my life's entertainment, and being part of the film industry myself (im a freelance cameraman and i have written and directed a couple of award winning shorts) i thought i would give my 2 cents on all of this. Unfortunately when it comes to this business, the majorty of people involved in creating it dont actually care that much about the story, fan service, source material, good character arks etc. To the majority of them, this is just a job. I know its hard to understand that if you're coming from outside the industry and you would give anything to be on one of these sets, but the sad reality is that for most of the crew members, as high up as the director sometimes, even sometimes the actors, this is just how they make their living and that's all it will ever be for them. There's no care for anything other than the fact that this makes them money. I mean i get it, if this is what they are good at and how best it is for them to make their living, then they have every right to do it. But its not like they are working in a coffee shop, only half-a**ing the coffees they make and it dissapoints a few people for a few minutes. Half-a**ing shows and movies genuinely impacts enourmous amounts of people in how they escape their every day lives, and if their form of escapism fails them, then they can be left lost. Thats just my thoughts on everything about this sucky final episode and all of the suckiness that came with the last few seasons of all the arrowverse, and tbf maybe the hollywood industry in general with it churning out terrible stuff lately. It makes me sad.. SIDE NOTE: on the "terrible CGI" stuff, the reason it looks so awful is because it's a full CGI recreation inside of a software like Unreal Engine, it's so much cheaper for them to just recreate it all that way rather than film real shots for it, but because they are cutting it next to real shots it looks very weird and not to mention the animation on the 3D puppets look inhuman. It seems like they gave Uni students with Unreal Engine experience their first go in the industry to keep the prices down so i wouldnt be surprised if this was the case.

@NathanVMountain, this is a CW probem - not a "Hollywood and TV industry as a whole" problem. When the past couple years have brought us stuff like Del Toro's Pinochio, Puss N Boots The Last Wish, Arcane, Across the Spiderverse, Last of Us HBO, Top Gun Maverick, The Bad Guys, etc, I would say that there is still passion left in Hollywood and the industry- just gotta know where to look.

Arrowverse would have been great if they didn't mess up the later seasons. Arrow and flash should have got a satisfying series finale.

This show inspires me because it means that no matter how stupid of a person you can be, you too can be in charge of a famous comic book characters tv show and run it to the ground. I genuinely hope Eric Wallace doesn't get another job like this lol

I haven't seen a single comment on how ridiculous it is that Joe and Cecile have been together for 6 years, have a 5 year old kid, and throughout all that time they've just been boyfriend and girlfriend😭.

Hugh Jackman is Wolverine. Stephen Amell is Arrow. Grant Gustin is Flash to me. Tom Cavanagh has such a good screen presence with Grant. You hit the nail on the head with the fact even the title of the final episode was bad. They did every character a disservice. I would have liked Barry to go back in time and get the Impossible speech from Harrison Wells. Would have been such a good call back getting him to again say "Run Barry Run". From there, like another person mentioned, have Savitar help Barry defeat the Legion of Zoom.

I choose to believe the series ended at Episode 10. Grant was an amazing Flash. The writers were the true villains this season.

A better ending for the flash would have been if Savitar (Future Dark Berry Allen) realizes what is going on and instead of trying to kill the flash... he takes on the other three speedsters because he once was the same flash who went against all three. The motive and anger towards the other three speedsters would be justified. While Savitar and the other team flash members are taking on the three speedsters; BOTH Berry and Nora attempt to stop/help Cobalt Blue (Eddie Thawn). Meanwhile the battle rages on with team flash plus Savitar against the other three speedsters that have clearly proven very powerful opponents to the flash in previous seasons. Zoom kills Chill Blaine ultimately leading to Katelyn Snow (Apparently a goddess now) killing zoom providing closure with those three characters. Godspeed uses his ability to make many copies of himself to mess with everyone whilst the real one finally does kill Cecil. Because who actually likes Cecil Horton's charter? Especially in the later seasons. Ultra Violet (Alegra Garcia) killing Godspeed from seemingly nowhere to help the teams cause. Reverse Flash tries to kill them all because he hates them so much, but eventually ends up with a 1v1 against Savitar (Future Dark Berry Allen) and gets absolutely slaughtered by Savitar. Finally giving Dark Berry his much needed closure by killing his greatest enemy. Now Flash (Present Berry Allen) and XS (Nora Allen) are in the midst of fighting Cobalt Blue when all of a sudden Savitar comes to aid them. WIth all three speedsters being too much for Eddie to handle he flees and runs to the negative speedforce to obtain more speed. That's when Berry would then be able to save Eddie (Like they did in the episode, but better). The closing scenes are as followed: Joe and the family attending Cecil's funeral, during the funeral Dark Berry shows up and reconciles with everyone after what he did in season three, but shows he made up for it in season nine. Dark Berry says his goodbyes and leaves. Ultimately leaving his future open, but with good closure. Then jumping to another scene where the goddess leaves Katelyn and she is left mourning the loss of Chill Blaine. Berry and Iris finally have their baby with Nora holding herself (Like in the episode) and Eddie Thawn arriving and reconciling with Berry (Like in the episode). Alegra and Chester Runk gets together. Though the team suffers tremendous loss they all come together as friends, family, and former enemy (Savitar). They all find peace and love within each other and help each other with their losses. This definitely has to make the episode a much longer one, but that is what the fans deserve, a good proper send off. Though my fifteen year old mind has definitely wrote some flaws... I feel as though this is much better and more competent than "The Great" Eric Wallace's mind. Please do give me feedback I would love to hear it, but I understand that this is a lot to read.

I would of loved this.

This season is comparable to a college student who doesn't care about an essay but is still forced to write it but does so in carelessness, no motivation, and rushes to finish it. Then they decide not to double check the work and just simply turn it in just to get it over with.

The Arrowverse has felt like it's on life support since Crisis on Infinite Earths and how they went around this season confirms it. If they cared they would've cut the filler episodes and halted the show while Grant was out with the big sick.

I do want to shout out Rick Cosnett. Despite some pretty bad writing, he actually did a really good job in these last four episodes and made Eddie's journey just slightly better as a result. I enjoyed every scene he was in just due to his and Grant's acting. Very good actor, and I'm glad he got a little more time on the show, even though it was in this terrible new version of the show we've had for the last few years.

This episode and season was mostly a load of sickening sweet sentimental mush full of twaddle and the weakest superhero/villain conflicts I've seen in 40 years. As a writer I would be so embarrassed. I can't imagine what it took for the actors to have to spew out such verbal and visual diarrhea.

Instead of the supporting cast, each member the Legion of Zoom should have fought a returning speedster! Think about it: Jay Garrick vs Zoom. Jay absorbs Zoom’s speed, taking revenge for what Zoom did to him in season 2 AND calling back to the Earth-90 Flash. Wally West vs Savitar. Wally finally gets some kind of grand heroic moment, closing out Wally and Savitar’s rivalry from season 3. Impulse vs Godspeed. I don’t like either character but at least it would have made sense to pair them up given their alleged rivalry in season 7. Nora vs Thawne. Thawne tries and fails to manipulate Nora like he did in season 5. Meanwhile Barry fights Cobalt Blue, and it ends like this: Barry convinces Eddie to stop like in the episode, so Thawne seizes the opportunity for one last battle with Barry. Thawne nearly kills Barry and for a moment all seems lost, with the skies turning red due to the Negative Speef Force. It looks like the newspaper about Flash vanishing in crisis is about to come true…but then Eddie (maybe with some help from Timeless Wells) uses the Negative Speed Force to kill Thawne like in season 1, but this time getting to stay alive and be the hero. Eddie masters the crystal and calls away the red skies, changing history for the better and proving that the Negative Speed Force can coexist with the Positive. I mean come on Eric. This isn’t as hard as you make it seem.

There was a technical explanation as to why Savitar was in costume all episode. Grant was meant to reprise the role of Savitar Barry, but apparently, he ended up getting COVID, so instead, he appeared in his speedster suit as a compromise

Everything you said is just so right!!! I wrote all this out in a review and was hoping I wasn’t the only one. Realistically, bringing those villains back would've never worked in just 40 minutes. Because of this, the villains were just humiliated and their entire seasons have been proved worthless. Loved the cecile show!

i have a Better script for the finale: Cobalt blue revives godspeed, Savitar, reverse flash and zoom and teams up to fight against Barry using the cobalt blue crystal and gives them full access to the negative speed force using cobalt blue crystal. Team flash and team cobalt blue starts fighting but in team flash only khione was strong enough to stand up against those villainous speedsters but villains almost killed all the other members of team flash so khione have use her powers to keep them alive leaving Barry bloodlusted and alone totally and Villains starts chasing him across the streets. We see a 20/30 minutes long battle where villains chased Barry from all directions, godspeed showing his true speed and being in two places at the same moment like I'm comics and making his multiple clones, reverse flash making his speed mirage, zoom making his time remnants, Cobalt blue using his different kinds of abilities, Savitar showing his true potential and all of them using different kinds of speed force constructs and Barry was dodging their attacks. All the speedsters running so fast that they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to the natural forces all at once! At the end Barry has to give up being a pure hero and go for killing them as he has no choice at all and the final ending fight takes place which is a boundary between the negative and the positive forces. All the characters reached their maximum top speed at last (all being much faster than the speed of light because of which they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to natural forces), and flash being still the fastest among all of them proving that he is the fastest man in the entire multiverse! At last flash finally goes for kill and kills all the villains except eddie leaving Eddie alone and helpless. Barry tries to talk with Eddie to stop being the cobalt blue avatar but his hatred is not over yet so he doesn't give up. But at last Barry manages to remove the cobalt blue crystal from Cobalt blue suit and Barry destroys the crystal but in doing that he ends up erasing Eddie thawne accidentally as cobalt blue crystal was the reason of his existence. Barry got completely shattered with the death of Eddie thawne once again. Then Barry decides to eliminate the negative forces completely. But removing negative forces will disturb multiversal balance. So Barry runs into his full potential (showing his infinite speeds) and generates infinite amount of lightning, floods the negative forces and positive forces with his lightning that both forces got emerged and turned in a single neutral forces of the nature. Then Barry come into the present and up to that time khione manages to heal all injured people completely. Iris gives birth to Nora. Then the team flash unites for the last time in a party (joe,Cisco with kamilla, Singh, Kramer, Ralph being married with sue Dearbon all came into the gathering along with other members of the team flash and khione). Barry tells the team to flash about his fight and his decision of going for the kill and at last accidentally erasing Eddie thawne from existence. Joe comforts Barry by saying, "killing for good cause is not killing, it's saving people and that's what you always do Barry". Then Barry starts feeling better and recovers from the trauma he got by accidentally erasing Eddie. Team flash enjoys the party where Joe proposes to Cecile. They should’ve been the villains from the very start of season 9 not the final few episodes that ruined the pacing completely, they could’ve took their time and built up a more dramatic narrative

The final battle was certainly VERY underwhelming. It’s VERY disrespectful to the villains of how easily they were all defeated. Like it literally took one or multiple seasons for all of them to be defeated, and this how they treat them? You have Allegra of all people, being the one who defeats Eobard for the last time?? And we shouldn’t be surprised at this point, about how ridiculously overpowered Cecile is 🙄. She’s basically a Doctor Strange/Jean Grey hybrid at this point, No other words for her. Barry didn’t even get to fight them. In fact Barry didn’t even land a single blow to anyone, the first half of this episode was him getting his ass beat by Negative Eddie (yes I’m calling him that, because he never had blue lightning like he supposed to). But at least the final part of the episode was bittersweet. Sucks that Cisco, Bart and Wally couldn’t be apart of this, but hey I didn’t expect too much for this episode, just a bittersweet goodbye and that’s it

This would be how I would want it to end: Eddie brings back the speedsters, but the negative speed force alters their memories, so that there is no way they remember what the other villian speedster did to them. They instead have memories of Flash being solely the cause of their sorrow. Now, Godspeed doesnt remember Thawne, Savitar doesn't remember Zoom killing his father, and stuff is chill. However, due to a deeper connection to the NSF, Thawne is secretly free of this manipulation. He realises Eddie's motives, and decides to loosely hang in with the crew, acting as if he too is under the same manipulation. Eddie incites them to team up against team Flash strategically. Godspeed and Savitar, start stalking Team Flash by attacking them without Barry's knowledge. Nobody else knows who they are, or can see them clearly, as Barry and Nora are elsewhere fighting Eddie. Eddie seemingly surrenders, but cleverly escapes and vanishes, just as Barry is informed of an attack. He comes to fight Savitar and Godspeed(Nora engages Godspeed) who lure them away from Star Labs, and holds up fairly well, but Nora is subdued(this would be a good place to put some good Godspeed fights). Nora does manage to free herself like she did from Savitar here, but doesn't kill Godspeed, and right as they pin the villains down, Zoom enters, holding Cecile and Chester(forgot his name) hostage. Khione is nowhere to be seen as Eddie has trapped her and Allegra in the NSF temporarily. Barry is forced to spare Savitar and Godspeed, and tried to outsmart Zoom, but zoom predicts this, and ends up killing Chester(Cecile could still lives by somehow using her powers). Zoom then nearly kills Barry, but Nora and Cecile save him(mainly Nora, Cecile could just be a little help). Barry senses something is not right, since if all speedsters return, there is still one unheard of. He suddenly realises that Llegra and Khione are missing, but Eddie has by now released them. We get an emotional moment for Allegra as she cries over Chester's death. All this while, Thawne has been watching this. He wants to kill Barry himself, but has also realised that he wont be able to beat Zoom(yes, he realises that despite a speed advantage, Zoom is acing him). So he decides to pit him against Savitar by revealing who Savitar is. We get a match up between Team Flash and the villians, we pair Flash with Zoom and Savitar(flash is faster but there's 2 of them), Nora engages Godspeed again, and Thawne and Eddie engage the rest. Thawne holds back because he is looking for the right moment to do anything to bring him on top, since he know eddie and Zoom need to be cleared before. We do get a bit of Cecile fighting, but just mind tricking the villians, and not just flying everywhere, and none of that super overpowered ability she used here against Godspeed. As Zoom and Savitar defeat Barry and are about to kill him, a disruption occurs, both want to kill him himself. As they start arguing a bit, Thawne breaks the NSF manipulation and reveals Savitar to the others. We now have an angry Zoom looking at an angry Barry who now remembers zoom killing his father, and Thawne killing his mother, and the two start fighting. Godspeed is more concerned about Thawne killing him, and tries to kill him, but gets killed instead by Thawne. The battle between the two starts wreaking the city, and Barry is desperate to resolve this. Thawne suggests trapping them in time, in a way to destroy both of them. They travel to the day of the particle accelerator explosion. They somehow manage to send the fighting duo there too, but Barry doesnt let Nora come. There, they trap them inside the accelerator right as it is activating, and escape. This causes a bit of malfunction in the accelerator. We get a glimpse of Harrison-Thawne of the past, about to activate the accelerator, but stops right before doing so, as he suddenly senses himself travelling through to the current time(just like he paused in s5). Eddie, now being down three men, is desperate to kill Barry, so he rejoins with Thawne to kill Barry above Star Labs. It is here, where we once again get a glimpse of past Thawne who manages to see himself, Barry and Eddie running and fighting. He barely misses Eddie's face. Upon final confrontation, when Barry is now outnumbered and has no tricks left, he tries to remind Eddie about everything. He reminds him of the person he's siding with being the one person he hated. Thawne, and the NSF try otherwise, and we get a heated fight between them as Eddie struggles. He finally is free of the NSF, and together with Barry, they fight Thawne who has now gone full bloodlust on Barry. They subdue him, and Thawne fatally wounds Eddie. Eddie makes a final sacrifice; he grabs Thawne, and tells Barry to hit Thawne with his strongest lightning, right as Eddie pulls him down from the roof to the accelerator, right as the acceleratpr fires off. We see Zoom finally killing Savitar, but immediately get caught in the accelerator program. The powers of Eddie, Thawne, Zoom and the residual power of Savitar all mix up into the accelerator explosion, and reach out to the sky to then form the lightning that strikes Barry. The story then follows with the happy ending storyline.

Despite nine seasons of low and high points, Grant Gustin has been carrying this show on his back for almost a decade, and for that I will forever be a fan of his and hopefully he can finally branch out into other things.

The writers did carry the show till season 4 and maybe 5( the rf plot was fire) but grant really made us feel that season 9 apart from episode 9 and 10 was a little bit good

The fact that Cisco didn’t show up was honestly the saddest part for me, I so badly wanted to see him and Barry have a moment at the week-later gathering at the end. I know Carlos had scheduling issues but still, something could’ve been arranged. That and Grant’s incredible acting feels so wasted. Hopefully we’ll see him in something great soon

Grant Gustin's back from carrying the entire season from the start to finish has to be a nightmare to maintain.

As someone who rage quit after Barry's infamous breakdancing scene, I'm really glad I never came back.

Well it makes sense that he couldn't hang. It would be like bringing back Perfect Cell and having him defeat Broly. Flash and them done leveled up so many times since then what chance did Zoom have. But yeah, the finale was lack luster.

The Flash villains in this episode were like anime villains: They were terrible and hard to defeat in their first appearances, ando now they are nerfed.

Thanks for the review, the episode as a whole was SPECTACULARLY disappointing. Let's just all remember that this episode doesn't just mark the ending of the flash, but the conclusion of a 11 year running DC continuity as a whole, with a great beginning with arrow, then the flash, supergirl, dc legends of tomorrow, black lightning, and batwoman. Although they weren't all great and most certainly had its ups and downs, it was a long and suspenceful universe that's had great life-defining storylines, sent positive and noble messages, and has created and shaped COUNTLESS childhoods and early experiences. Arrow and black lightning had worthy and respectable send-offs, but batwoman and the legends were just done SO dirty with the cliffhangers prior to their cancellations, and supergirl... The series finale had terrible fight scenes, embarrassing dialogue, disgraceful CGI and completely BUTCHERED lex luthor. But this final season of the flash was the opportunity to right those obvious wrongs, but somehow, aside from those two amazing episodes, it didn't just LARGELY disrespect the legacy of the arrowverse, it basically made the flash alone largely redundant in his OWN SHOW! This episode did have its positives, but they are COLOSSALY outweighed by the negatives. Grant gustin was phenomenal in his role and he was absent for almost 3 episodes in the final season of his own show and was tossed aside like garbage in the overall scope of the storylines and character development on his OWN SHOW!What the actual hell was eric Wallace on?? I mean take a damn hint! Nobody cares about these disgraceful, disturbing and annoying (apart from iris and joe who were done SO dirty) side characters! Just like with arrow season 4, they stole the damn show from the main character and reduced him to a side character in his OWN show! Even the way the legacies of the amazing villains were reduced to a laughing stock! What the fuck! But cecile is the WORST character in the arrowverse as a whole, her actress must have been fucking eric wallace off-screen to get anywhere CLOSE to the amount of screentime, attention and pointless development cecile got. i don't give a SHIT how annoying felicity got, it was nowhere CLOSE to beating cecile, Cecile and khione's awful storylines were the show's highest and most frequent focus, don't even get me started on chester and allegra's storyline, this is a joke! Nobody cares! But in conclusion, (sorry i know it's long) this was a horrendous and humiliating end to a 11 year long great franchise, and it truly makes me SO sad to know that one of the best universes on modern television today ends on a feeling of embarrassment and sadness instead of closure and satisfaction, because now we never know if oliver's son William is alive or dead, we never find out what happens with agent odell and the shadow board on black lightning, who killed the reporter on batwoman, how the world reacts to supergirl's identity, and the legends and booster gold are rotting in time jail for the rest of eternity. All of these questions will never be answered, and it's all thanks to missed opportunities and terrible decisions, I'm going to miss this universe and everything it gave me, and how it's impacted the world, including the flash itself, I'll be sure to remember it all, and its greatest villain (other than eobard thawne, adrian chase, and the anti-monitor) Eric Wallace. Sigh...Goodbye arrowverse! Thank you everyone for reading.

I think they should have committed an episode to each of these villains so they had their chance to shine one last time. Was really bummed how they took zoom and savitar out

They should leave red death, reconstruct the character completely(feel like zoom in season 2), bring goats back with an episode for each one of them and then all of them fight against barry ALONE(maybe with jay or cisco)

I mean it all sucked, the side characters, taking down the villains, the dialogue, the minimal Barry, all the Cecile, Chester, Allegra, and Keione moments (Sidenote: Why is she even here she didn’t even matter, so what was the point of killing off Caitlyn for the entire final season?) and finally what did they do to Zoom his eyes look awful.

Another thing that felt off was the atmosphere of the episodes- where are the regular civilians running around because their office or car just exploded? The city feels almost empty excluding the main characters

You hit on a lot of the issues I've had with the show/side characters/this episode. Such a shame 'cause I used to really enjoy watching it. Like you said, I barely even remember where Chester came from and I barely care. The villains needed more/better screen time

The fact that flash needed a team to take on his past villiains even though he could've done it himself is laughable which is why I'm glad the show ended for good

What's laughable is thinking that the Flash is supposed to fight multiple supervillians with speed not focused on just him. So what Team Flash was a thing? Just like Team Arrow was a thing. I didn't have a problem with it because it made sense when the Flash would come across multiple threats. And Flash, the Arrow including Batman all had sidekicks and would get help from others or assist them in the comics. The only problem I had with the Flash which caused me to stop watching it for a while is because of the tone and lighting which is bad enough because of the comedy and family friendly vibe. Other than that I don't believe in openly criticizing a TV show that is from a genre that is not represented enough on TV. Because when these shows are gone what else are they going to do?

In defense of Savitar the reason he didn’t unmask himself is because Grant Gustin got covid. Grant revealed that there were plans for him to play Savitar outside of the suit and share a scene with Zoom, but because he got covid they couldn’t do it and they were only able to delay filming for Grant for a couple days. The reason the suit was red is because he was connected to the negative speedforce because remember he wasn’t in season 3. It’s the same reason Zoom and Godspeed had red lightning

This is how the flash shoulda ended...... Everything was descent until the fight scene. So have the villains kill the characters with their vibrating hand but leave Barry. Then cobalt blue brings Barry where the fight started and all villains harm him. Barry then gets up and runs back in time to save the timeline. This time since his team didn’t work, he needed a speedster team. Him, Wally, Jay, maybe Jesse quick or just reuse XS try and fIght the villains. In the meantime, the team is at the hospital with iris or in the lab working out stuff. This can be where Catlin comes back somehow and Cisco comes for a visit from Argus. Barry, Wally, jay and Nora or Jesse fight the villains but they nearly kill them but Barry as they all meet up together. Barry argues and tells them that it’s his fight and he’s guilty that everyone he loved died in the future. So he does a 1v5 showdown leaving reverse flash as the final battle.

I agree. Not only was this finale bad in the show, but the last few seasons since Cisco departed. Cecile shouldn't have been a superhero as she was already developed from earlier seasons as a lawyer. Yet they gave her powers using audio queues for the audience which were lame and never gave a full on character arch for her developing her powers even further, nor her costume - how did she get it? Especially her 'sudden' ability to fly.

I actually teared up a bit because of how bad it was like no way they did that to the og villains 😭

Yeah, pretty much with you on everything you said. I was left at the end wondering what in the world I had just watched. I was so disappointed with all the old villains basically being defeated in 5 mins. Made me say, how the heck did Barry have such a hard time defeating these guys if Alegra could take out Reverse flash with one bolt and Cecil take out God Speed with a flick of the wrist. It felt like we wasted years on Barry learning to defeat each one of them. Then to have Eddie go flip flopping, is he good, is he bad....then settling for bad only to have Barry change his mind in a 1 minute conversation....man I was frustrated by that point. Also to not even have Cisco show up in any capacity was maddening. As if he wouldn't have shown up for the birth of Barry's daughter. They were best friends right!?! Ugh....such a disappointment.

How a superhero show make me feel like I was watching a regular sitcom after season 5

I was truly excited to watch the arrowverse's last episode. I feel so so angry towards how this man, mister wallace, has treated such a great part of my childhood. Arrow was my favorite show, we've got an incredible and emotional ending, and they should've just copied arrows s8, thats what we wanted. I cant even imagine how flash's fans, people who this show was their favorite part of their childhood, feel. Hope cecile can tell you, Eric.

i have a Better script for the finale: Cobalt blue revives godspeed, Savitar, reverse flash and zoom and teams up to fight against Barry using the cobalt blue crystal and gives them full access to the negative speed force using cobalt blue crystal. Team flash and team cobalt blue starts fighting but in team flash only khione was strong enough to stand up against those villainous speedsters but villains almost killed all the other members of team flash so khione have use her powers to keep them alive leaving Barry bloodlusted and alone totally and Villains starts chasing him across the streets. We see a 20/30 minutes long battle where villains chased Barry from all directions, godspeed showing his true speed and being in two places at the same moment like I'm comics and making his multiple clones, reverse flash making his speed mirage, zoom making his time remnants, Cobalt blue using his different kinds of abilities, Savitar showing his true potential and all of them using different kinds of speed force constructs and Barry was dodging their attacks. All the speedsters running so fast that they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to the natural forces all at once! At the end Barry has to give up being a pure hero and go for killing them as he has no choice at all and the final ending fight takes place which is a boundary between the negative and the positive forces. All the characters reached their maximum top speed at last (all being much faster than the speed of light because of which they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to natural forces), and flash being still the fastest among all of them proving that he is the fastest man in the entire multiverse! At last flash finally goes for kill and kills all the villains except eddie leaving Eddie alone and helpless. Barry tries to talk with Eddie to stop being the cobalt blue avatar but his hatred is not over yet so he doesn't give up. But at last Barry manages to remove the cobalt blue crystal from Cobalt blue suit and Barry destroys the crystal but in doing that he ends up erasing Eddie thawne accidentally as cobalt blue crystal was the reason of his existence. Barry got completely shattered with the death of Eddie thawne once again. Then Barry decides to eliminate the negative forces completely. But removing negative forces will disturb multiversal balance. So Barry runs into his full potential (showing his infinite speeds) and generates infinite amount of lightning, floods the negative forces and positive forces with his lightning that both forces got emerged and turned in a single neutral forces of the nature. Then Barry come into the present and up to that time khione manages to heal all injured people completely. Iris gives birth to Nora. Then the team flash unites for the last time in a party (joe,Cisco with kamilla, Singh, Kramer, Ralph being married with sue Dearbon all came into the gathering along with other members of the team flash and khione). Barry tells the team to flash about his fight and his decision of going for the kill and at last accidentally erasing Eddie thawne from existence. Joe comforts Barry by saying, "killing for good cause is not killing, it's saving people and that's what you always do Barry". Then Barry starts feeling better and recovers from the trauma he got by accidentally erasing Eddie. Team flash enjoys the party where Joe proposes to Cecile. Khione reveals that she is the life force to team flash. She says goodbye to team flash and leaves Catlin's body and life forces disappear in the cosmos. Team flash was happy to see Catlin. Then Cisco, Catlin and Barry hug each other (season 1 team flash reference). Each member of the flash now decides to move on and gets separated. Cecile with Joe, barry with iris, allegra and Chester marries and everyone now starts focussing on their lives. Barry, allegra, Cecile, Ralph still pursues their other life of being the hero by stopping the crimes near them. Star labs was turned into Flash museum by the government and made open for the public. Then we see Barry's family in 2049 where iris, bart, nora, all doing their jobs. Here we see Barry goes into space with the DCEU Justice League and goes to another universe for a mission and he meets DCEU flash again! Then we see the scene from the 22nd century where Flash saves the crowd from a bridge which was getting collapsed, stealing Thawne's moment of being the hero which develops a never ending hatred for Barry. Thawne now decides to dedicate his life to kill Barry. (This scene marks the end of the Flash season 9)

In the comics telepathic powers don’t work on speedsters because they move and think too quickly which they even jokingly refer to in an episode when Nora says good thing Grodds powers don’t work on us. This same show had Barry afraid of falling so I expect so little. He can run a the speed of light meaning his body regularly faces more force than a fall from any height could ever come close to producing.

yooooo I was so confused about who tf we were dealing with when I saw Cecile in her costume! And at the end of the last episode as well. I couldn't tell if it was future or present her.

The show runners did this episode perfectly. It's the last episode, it's very clear they were trying to help the fan base move on. I, for one, don't feel bad at all that this show has ended. I don't feel like I'm missing out on a show I've watched for 9 years, because the writers did such a great job making me just not care by writing the worst season of the flash. Two of the villain's we've wanted the most, Red Death and Cobalt Blue, were both a joke. Sticking with just this episode though, Cobalt Blue came in at the very last episode, and instead of being comic accurate, he was just another dime store speedster that for no reason was stronger than Barry with abilities he just got. The other speedsters being defeated didn't even make sense. First off, why did everyone agree to pair off with the person across from them when all any of them wanted was Barry? The only fight that made sense with the Zoom fight, being Khion of whatever her name is, is apparently a goddess, so I get that beating a speedster. However, even with as embarrassing as Godspeed is, he shouldn't have lost that easily when it took Flash AND Reverse Flash to beat him in the first place, but she did it in minutes without breaking a sweat. Lastly, and IMO the worst fight, was Reverse Flash. Dude is supposed to be the pinnacle villain, he failed to beat Chester because Chester pulled a new ability out of his ass at the last minute (Which seems to be the theme of this episode) and Allegra of all people shows up and defeats Reverse Flash. Then defeating the final villain they've been fighting for a whole 1 episode, is by talking about their feelings and getting him to become a good guy in like 2 minutes. Then the proposal was weird because who TF knew they weren't married? I thought they were, and didn't really care. I also thought the people they chose for the new speedsters were stupid.

HOW did Savitar get beat so easily. Bro was whooping Barry's weak season 3 bottom dragging him through the speed force. Now he gets like 2 lines in an episode and gets defeated by being scratched in the back by his own blade that his daughter used. Even if she did phase and grab the blade, he's still gotta be like TEN TIMES FASTER SO WHY DID HE JUST STAND THERE? And also, Zoom was fast enough 7 YEARS AGO to catch lightning and throw it back as a solid object but now he's not fast enough to move out of the way of his own lightning thrown BACK AT HIM BY KHIONE???

In the defense of Nora beating Savitar; this Nora is way more experienced than the Barry that fought Savitar in the earlier seasons, so I'll give her the pass on being able to beat him, but the way she did it was wack though. Apparently Khione is a goddess or whatever(I remember someone saying her comic book counterpart is) but im not giving her a pass because Zoom didn't get to do NOTHING, just yell at cops. The godspeed fight made me cringe, because season 8 Barry couldn't beat him alone but she can? I don't even like cw godspeed and his defeat was bad to me. The fact Eobard didn't kill Chester when he has a record of killing people quick and efficient makes me sad that this is the last time we see him. It's to a point I want a retelling of the cw flash made into movies and don't put the this show runner on it, the fact he brought back the past villains for the hype factor but fumble it was disappointing asf.

NINTH SEASON feels like something I'll FORCE myself to continue to suffer through just to finish off the Series. I liked the first several Seasons but it seemed to slowly get worse. And the CROSSOVER stuff didn't help because I didn't have access to the ARROW videos so I misses stuff. Everything the last few seasons has felt so forgettable, but in fairness I was watching them to help me fall asleep (not joking)... UPDATE... I just realized it was Cavenaugh (Harrison Wells/Thawne) and Valdes (Cisco Ramon/Vibe) that held a lot of my interest and just never got good replacements.

Also I hate that when thawne tries to use his vibrating hand, he does it so slowly almost like he wants Barry to run in and stop him. He could literally kill someone before they even know that he's there. Arrow also had this problem with Damien darhk. He takes so much time to kill the heroes almost like he wants someone to save them. He could literally snap someone's neck by moving a single muscle.

It should've been Bart, Nora, Wally, and Jessie Quick helping Barry against them. A total speedster battle royale.

What really tickled me was Eddie wanted his old life back with Iris yet ge comes across as seriously gay, as in they could have wanted Eddie to want Barry instead and It would have made more sense.

I made it like 20min into Ep1, and i just couldn't anymore. Glad you posted the deets on the rest of the season, as i don't have i need to watch through the rest of Ep1, much less the season. Its sad with what they did with it in the end, but 'go woke, get broke' i guess.

Started this show back when it first came out. I was in 7th grade, so many good memories watching season 1 with my dad and geeking out about season 1-3 with my friends. This has to be one of the biggest falls from grace I’ve ever seen. Grant deserved better than this

Honestly i lost interest in this show wayyy before the finale, I could see where it was heading. But I've always checked up on it and it feels good to see barry finally get his happy ending. Man... I'll never forget the feeling of watching season 1 for the first time, it was simply perfect. I'm sure my opinion is not completely alien in saying the show didn't fufill the potential set by the first few seasons. And it's a shame at that, but it still did have it's amazing moments. Farewell Arrowverse, farewell The Flash.

Your thoughts on the Cecile fight were exactly as I felt after watching. The only side character that made sense to win was Khion because she was shown to be very powerful.

The fact that they still went with Ezra Miller for the Flash movie when Grant was literally a godlike portrayal of the Flash literally breaks my heart tbh. Also I agree, how they ended the show was really terrible and I think they should try to fix it but we know thats never gonna happen unless they decide to magically bring it back for 1 more season and fix everything that should've never been in this final season.

season 4 was pretty decent icl and mostly everyone hated s5 but i actually liked it i think its decent aswell but after that everything goes downhill but s8 wasnt that bad

I just wished they went with Grant's idea of referencing the comic with him becoming the lightning bolt that gave him powers.

Where was Joe and Cecile’s daughter Jenna? Every character is there, baby Nora, adult Nora, the doppelgänger parents, whatever version of Harrison Wells! But no Jenna.

I was following and agreeing with everything you were saying until u said Khiones name wrong, that pissed me off. Other than that W vid. I’ve been tryna tell ppl that the flash had a come back fr after season 6 but to end it all like that, I’m very disappointed.

The way I would’ve handled this would’ve involved a few switch arounds. Starting with Barry seeing Thawne in his original costume on a rooftop as a callback to his first appearance as Reverse Flash and Barry chases him. Thawne then swaps with Zoom and Zoom with Savitar etc… Eventually he stops at Eddie and they surround him, kick him around a bit and drag him through the speed force. They each take turns making Barry relive his worst moments with these enemies except Thawne. We’ll get to that soon. The problem starts when they all want to be the one to kill the Flash. Eddie tries to keep them all together, but Thawne starts wispering in their ears, and helps Barry to escape. Barry finds out that he’s been returned to the day the particle accelerator exploded. We have a whole subplot about how he manipulates time to inform team flash about where he is and only the speedsters can get to him, meaning Jay, Wally, Bart and Nora. They manage to run through time to get to him and he gets a plan together to lure them into Star Labs before the accelerator explodes. Big fight between team Flash and team Cobalt Blue, Barry vs Eddie, Wally vs Savitar, Jay vs Zoom, Bart vs Godspeed and Nora vs Thawne. The battle goes well until Eddie leaves Barry to attack Wally, giving Savitar an opening to stab him in the leg. He does the same with the others and gets Zoom to take their speed, leaving Barry the last one standing with the lives of his friends hanging in the balance. Eddie gives him a chance to surrender, but this time Barry won’t back down. He gives Savitar the order to kill Nora, but before she gets stabbed, she suddenly swap places with Godspeed, who promptly gets impaled through the chest again. This kickstarts a fight between team Cobalt, with Savitar and Zoom going nuts on each other. Thanks to Zoom stealing the other’s speeds, they’re evenly matched. Barry uses the opportunity to get the others out of Star Labs, but are greeted outside by the Thawnes. Barry tries to get through to Eddie, but again, Thawne is wispering in his ear egging him on. Barry points out to Eddie that he’s working with the man who he died to stop, how he sacrificed himself to save Iris and the others from him. He tells him that if this is what he chooses now, his sacrifice meant less than Eddie thought it did. Eddie comes back from the negative force and turns on his descendant. Thawne reveals that he swapped Godspeed with Nora and had been manipulating the others from the start, just because he wanted Barry for himself. He then says that either Savitar and Zoom will win in a minute and whoever wins will be that much more powerful, being more than capable of killing them all. Eddie goes to keep them in Star Labs, making amends with Barry before he goes off and sacrifices himself again. The particle accelerator explodes, absorbing Eddie, Savitar and Zoom. They becomes the lightning bolt that originally struck Barry and also strikes the other speedsters. Meanwhile Thawne runs away in the speed force, getting Barry to run after him. After Barry catches up with him they have their last dialogue as these versions, with Thawne telling Barry they are destined to do this forever, Barry telling Thawne how pathetic he is, that whole dance. Thawne then plays his last card and reveals that he trapped Barry in a certain fixed point in time (this is where I swap episodes around) which only we see is the day Thawne kills his mother. He runs away, leaving room for any possible future. That episode then plays out exactly the same except it’s the finale and the episode ends the way this episode ended. Except no Cecile.

When they appeared on-screen together, I immediately thought of when Zoom kills the other earth Frost. Frost to Caitlin: He's got you now, he doesn't need me anymore. *throws icicle to kill Caitlin* Zoom: *rushes in and stabs Frost with it* You're right. I don't. Man, that scene is so good.

Khione was the biggest plot armor of the show smh. She kinda of popped out of no where and her powers were poorly explained. How the hell you can create a goddess of nature from trying to bring back killer frost 🤷🏾‍♂️

I liked how at moments in the show Barry could run across the entire planet in a split second but when there’s a huge emergency in central city he basically jogs and takes him like a minute to get there😂

The scene where thawne was "killing" chester I was screaming at the tv "STOP TALKING ABOUT HOW EVIL YOU ARE AND F**KING KILL THIS 10 CENT VERSION OF CISCO YOU BUFFOON!" and was upset when he just kept talking about all the evil things he was gonna do after killing Chester. It was so annoying, and the fact that the main conflict, Eddie being the avatar of the negative speed force and wanting to ruin barry's life was over after the first half of the episode was disappointing. The entire thing felt a bit rushed honestly

Do you think any version of Barry we’ve had in this show would just get stabbed as a speedster? He gets shot by peekaboo so early in the show and dodged getting shot. He barely did but point being that was way back then and he pulled it off. Savitar is an exact copy of Barry, he just chose a different side of his emotions after abandonment happens too him. Basically put, he’s also the flash so no there’s no way in a fight anyone, ANYBODY, would land a stab on him. Utterly trash.

This is why I stopped watching after season 5. S1-4 are so hard to beat and I knew after S5 it would only go downhill. Great vid my man.

It had some good moments but it should have been just Barry against the villains at the end

Team flash and team cobalt blue starts fighting but in team flash only khione was strong enough to stand up against those villainous speedsters but villains almost killed all the other members of team flash so khione have use her powers to keep them alive leaving Barry bloodlusted and alone totally and Villains starts chasing him across the streets. We see a 20/30 minutes long battle where villains chased Barry from all directions, godspeed showing his true speed and being in two places at the same moment like I'm comics and making his multiple clones, reverse flash making his speed mirage, zoom making his time remnants, Cobalt blue using his different kinds of abilities, Savitar showing his true potential and all of them using different kinds of speed force constructs and Barry was dodging their attacks. All the speedsters running so fast that they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to the natural forces all at once! At the end Barry has to give up being a pure hero and go for killing them as he has no choice at all and the final ending fight takes place which is a boundary between the negative and the positive forces. All the characters reached their maximum top speed at last (all being much faster than the speed of light because of which they were getting teleported from past to present to future and to natural forces), and flash being still the fastest among all of them proving that he is the fastest man in the entire multiverse! At last flash finally goes for kill and kills all the villains except eddie leaving Eddie alone and helpless. Barry tries to talk with Eddie to stop being the cobalt blue avatar but his hatred is not over yet so he doesn't give up. But at last Barry manages to remove the cobalt blue crystal from Cobalt blue suit and Barry destroys the crystal but in doing that he ends up erasing Eddie thawne accidentally as cobalt blue crystal was the reason of his existence. Barry got completely shattered with the death of Eddie thawne once again. Then Barry decides to eliminate the negative forces completely. But removing negative forces will disturb multiversal balance. So Barry runs into his full potential (showing his infinite speeds) and generates infinite amount of lightning, floods the negative forces and positive forces with his lightning that both forces got emerged and turned in a single neutral forces of the nature. Then Barry come into the present and up to that time khione manages to heal all injured people completely. Iris gives birth to Nora. Then the team flash unites for the last time in a party (joe,Cisco with kamilla, Singh, Kramer, Ralph being married with sue Dearbon all came into the gathering along with other members of the team flash and khione). Barry tells the team to flash about his fight and his decision of going for the kill and at last accidentally erasing Eddie thawne from existence. Joe comforts Barry by saying, "killing for good cause is not killing, it's saving people and that's what you always do Barry". Then Barry starts feeling better and recovers from the trauma he got by accidentally erasing Eddie. Team flash enjoys the party where Joe proposes to Cecile. Khione reveals that she is the life force to team flash. She says goodbye to team flash and leaves Catlin's body and life forces disappear in the cosmos. Team flash was happy to see Catlin. Then Cisco, Catlin and Barry hug each other (season 1 team flash reference). Each member of the flash now decides to move on and gets separated. Cecile with Joe, barry with iris, allegra and Chester marries and everyone now starts focussing on their lives. Barry, allegra, Cecile, Ralph still pursues their other life of being the hero by stopping the crimes near them. Star labs was turned into Flash museum by the government and made open for the public. Then we see Barry's family in 2049 where iris, bart, nora, all doing their jobs. Here we see Barry goes into space with the DCEU Justice League and goes to another universe for a mission and he meets DCEU flash again! Then we see the scene from the 22nd century where Flash saves the crowd from a bridge which was getting collapsed, stealing Thawne's moment of being the hero which develops a never ending hatred for Barry. Thawne now decides to dedicate his life to kill Barry. (This scene marks the end of the Flash season 9)

They should have brought Wally, Jay, and Jesse to have a speedster duel. The heroes can be outnumbered and a little slower (except for the Constantly Second Fastest Man Alive), but have better synergy

I've read a few comments and haven't seen anyone talk about the new lightning colours Savitar and Godspeed got. It was mentioned when all the villains got together that the Negative Speed Force would enhance their powers to become even stronger and faster than before (another reason as to why they shouldn't have been defeated that easily) thus changing their lightning colour to red from light blue (Savitar) and white (Godspeed). Other than that I agree with practically everything said on this video and it is an unfortunate fate to a show with so much potential...

When Barry used Savitar's suit, he also has red colours but he isn't a part of the negative so...

@namida5478 His lightning is dark orange, close enough to red, plus his suit is red. It's the only reasonable explanation to Savitar's sudden colour change, which coincidentally is at the same time Godspeed's and Zoom's lightning colours changed. (I forgot to mention Zoom in my previous comment, so I'm adding him now). If you have a different theory, I'd love to hear it

Agree with this review. The way they treated the big villains they brought back was just pure underwhelming. It seems to me that lately the show's idea of high stakes = blowing up a few cars, and smashing a few windows and calling it a day because that was what the finale made it look like. I'll definitely never forget how Godspeed gets defeated by a headache or how Thawne was taken out by sunlight... And Chillblaine served absolutely no purpose in the final fight. How did Jay know how to absorb speed when he didn't even meet his Earth-90 counterpart and how did absorbing Eddie's Negative Speed not harm Jay in any way? These were just basically some of the thoughts that I had regarding the underwhelming final fight. Imo, they should have brought back the main villains in the 2nd half of the previous episode and had them kill off the entire team one by one (and throw in a couple more references from the previous seasons e.g instead of Jay absorbing Eddie's speed, have him recreate the Rival vs Barry and Cisco fight in 3x02 by punching Eddie from the back, then once it seems that they defeated Eddie, have Zoom show up as a surprise and kill Jay, referencing S2EP22) and set up a situation where Barry had to time travel back a few hours (something similar to the Vandal Savage crossover) to regroup and prepare the team for the final battle where maybe he shares his speed with the team (like he did in S4E22) to at least make it more believable that they could actually take on the main villains instead of the Cecile stuff from the previous episode. This honestly felt like something they could have worked around even with Grant's COVID. But ohwell, it is what it is.

Finally someone making sense talking about this finale. This season should have had at least one less filler episode so this final arc could have had an extra episode with the villians from the past. They could have actually been a threat.. oh and no Virtue 🤮 also more Iris, no idea how Chester gets more screen time in the finale than Iris.

@@dracco4449 as shocking as it is Iris was one of the better parts of this season since Candace and Grant have good chemistry. Plus, seems like you agree, the rest of season 9 team flash is infuriatingly awful. Yeah so less Cecil, Chester and Alegra and more old villains and Iris.

I didn’t sit down and watch the full episode, so when I heard you say that the last scene before the final flash logo was Cecile getting married rather than something about Barry just made me so disappointed

I love how it was established in season 4 that Thawne once went toe-to-toe with Superman and won, but here Allegra kills him pretty easily.

No, assuming that Thawne told the truth, he merely stated facts without context to make you believe that he won. Fact one, he fought Superman. Fact two, he's faster than Superman. Here are two more facts about Thawne: he fought Oliver Queen and he's faster than him. We all know how that fight ended. Eobard Thawne is a boastful person had he beaten Superman in a fight he would've said it in a clear and direct manner.

I legit cried at Frost’s funeral for like 1 minute. Like not those momentary tears I did a full minute of emotional tears.
