This is TV news coverage of the first arriving and departing passenger flights at Denver International Airport. On opening day, February 28, 1995, the first arriving flight was a United Airlines flight from Colorado Springs and the first departure was a United Airlines flight to Kansas City.

You can see the actual first passenger flight that landed passing the outbound plane they kept showing at 11:11 (The 737 with the battle ship Grey livery. The white United 737 was the first passenger departure they showed taking off towards the end)

The part that amazes me is that they were still allowed to use the big, clunky cellphones that they had, back then, on a landing plane.
How could they have a live video of the first flight arriving? How did that 737 to MCI get to DEN? Was it in the convoy from Stapleton?
Dang Anne Trujillo just retired on Nov 2023 at Denver 7.
Do you have more Stapleton closing footage? Or maybe from the years after closing?

stitch16261 it’s a 737-300. The 737-400 has two over wing exits

UA didn’t have 737-400s. That’s a 737-322
