Appreciate the likes and support on this one fam. I can usually find something positive in every game but not this one unfortunately. Update 12/12/23 - Got a lot of messages and screenshots of my name all over TikTok and other places after the game shut down today and wanted to say thanks for supporting me fam. I almost didn't upload this video but I wanted to let others know not to waste their money on this. I know I'm usually positive and will still continue to give every game a chance but I won't hesitate to call something like this out. Gaming companies should know better than this.

It's because every YT these days uses bots to push his content, no human being actually says things like that, negative frustration is usually genuine, not one liner that mentions the creators name. Haven't played the game myself, but the starting area looks better than many 3A games, around, it will probably be bad, but it's also possible that people are just trolling, either way it's a game if people don't like it, don't play it simple as that, no need to spread hatred around.

@@justanaveragebalkan when a game is falsely advertised as something else, copies actual scenes from other games, and is used to make an unplayable and unenjoyable game, then yes, it's justified to hate a game, and people share it so others don't fall into that same trap of regret, it's not spreading hate, it's helping warn people to not waste their time and/or money

Note to self; The Walking Dead Destinies is the absolute limit for Brad's tolerance of a bad game. Just goes to show how even more abysmal The Day Before is because it got refunded 😂

These NPCs HAVE TO have been written and voiced by an AI. They are very unnaturally nice it was almost uncanny. And the voice acting seemed kinda soulless too. Good thing I've never heard about this game before it came out and only saw bad things about it afterwards, so I wanted to check it out 😂

It's the one game I think people universally called out for basically two years whether it was journos or content creators and general gamers etc bare people warned about them and yet still 200k people dipped their toes in it at launch! Coz the one good thing this time is people saw the red flags for two years and so media (mainstream coverage that is not content creators coz some creators still released some paid reviews but then backtracked them swiftly after everything blew up) had the appropriate coverage of it. But yeah somehow they still got 200k sales at launch for what was essentially an asset flip.

All servers full. No zombies. No melee. Can't rebind controls. Broken glitches. Bugged audio. Deafening car/store alarms. Zombies need 4-5 headshots to kill. Can only enter select few buildings. Can't vault over walls/obstacles. Empty, dull, lifeless streets. Even the open streets feel linear. And that's just to name a few... 10/10 must buy.

I would be worried if it was not the 1st time given that the title states that this is his 1st time.

All the servers say full because they want you to think that an insane amount of players are overwhelming the servers instead of telling you it doesn’t work.

I’ve been watching Brad since 2013 and I have never heard him give a bad review… one for the history books!

As a backend developer and a game developer here are my thoughts on it: Players connect to the server. They discover how horrible it is. They leave the server. But the server code, written by volunteers who never wrote server code, don't have logic to handle the broken connection and the servers slowly fill up. The two Chinese guys probably restart the servers every night to free up the connections. That is what you get when you have a game developed by volunteers.

I'm a Cybersecurity student and I haven't learned about any special logic needed to handle broken connection, such that not doing it would lead to servers filling up -- unless you mean the simple "connection close" code that's literally just one line? Or is it different in game servers versus regular C and Java?

Brad is pretty terrible but that’s why it’s entertaining he didn’t notice the number on the screen of the keypad stayed showing for a few seconds if he pressed it in the correct sequence 😂

⁠@@themechanicredthe ammo calamity was great. The effort of finding it in the menu and then the decision to buy 50 rounds. And then he SEES there’s armor and he’s like “idk why I died so fast” and then leaves without armor. I fkn love brads videos and I think those moments are really good 😂

The exchange at the end was funny as hell. poor brad, i have never seen him not enjoy a game to this extents.

You know, I'm willing to accept that for some players in some games, it's a matter of a game being an acquired taste, which may take a while to develop That's why it's important for the opening episode to grab the player's attention in some visceral way, to keep him involved long enough to get hooked. This game has clearly failed on this level, and kudos to Brad for calling it as he sees it.

One thing that I noticed watching this video is that the zombies really don’t seem to be that dangerous. For an open world game, they have extremely low range of agro on the player. It would be a lot more appealing if the zombies could sense you from like 100 yards away. Maybe they could slowly stalk you and then start running at you once they’re 80 or so yards away. It definitely seems like the game could use a year or two more of development

The problem is this was never meant to be a game, it was all a huge scam from the very beginning. Every single thing you see in the game is an Unreal Store asset, and the entire dev team were unpaid volunteers. The developers have also since filed for bankruptcy and permanently closed the game's servers.

I love this new bread honest and clear with his opinions on terrible games

Gollum has a special place in my heart, lol. Some streamers made their pain utterly hilarious, someone made a memey compilation, and the streamers reviewed the compilation. It was an EVENT that kept giving. Unfortunately, other bad games haven't been as funny.

I've watched brads videos for years and years I can't believe I never subscribed. Him and cowboy are my go to for game reviews.

The devs have banned anyone who says anything negative about the game on both Discord and Steam Page, they locked their Discord now and the bug reporting section on the Steam page. Also, those gunshots you hear are fake, someone pulled their LAN cord and the gunshots are still going off so its tricking you into thinking other players are nearby but they arent.

12:05 LOL! The way the character said "Hello...", I thought it was gonna do a quick cut-away, then pan back to show him sitting on a horse with some Old Spice in his hand.

This video is the only consistent gameplay I’ve seen of the game since it launched.

The "click click click" when you ran out of ammo told me everything I needed to know about this game. It was made by people who are great at making the map and graphics but they didn't have the money or experience to hire anybody to program the NPC or advise them on technical aspects like firearms or melee. It looks amazing but the physical elements of it are at least 1 to 2 years out.

I still cant believe u are completely helpless if u run out of ammo. Like the best thing about survival games like this is rationing your ammo esp early in the game when stuff is more scare. U use a crowbar,a wrench or a plank of wood to defend against the mob type zombies

Been watching Brad over a decade since Amnesia Dark Descent and you know it’s horrendous when unc refunds the game

It’s safe to safe that theradbrad has finally reached a new villain arc of playing terrible games! I’m absolutely here for this! 🙌🏻

Even cyberpunk had majority negative reviews on time of release, no man's sky had same, if they stick to the game and improve it it can come back stronger then ever because on paper it has huge potential

@@krusselscout2997 lmfao dude the fact that this game was in development for 5 years and released in this state is sad. They deserve to have their studio shut down for putting a price tag on this game in the first place, its almost like none of their developers sat down and played the game.

It’s crazy to think that I used to follow you when I was 6. I’m now 22 about to be 23, I watched your videos even when I was in the Army. I’m now a veteran still watching your videos, haha. @theradbrad

It's like it's the bare bones of what it is trying to be n that's it, also love how every player is from the same place that is like all about helping people yet players kill each other

Yea makes no sense really for the story. If they had options to be like, a rouge group who wants to steal etc from the main group and that makes the fighting happen that would be cool. Kinda like factions. but... there's nothing. That would also make people more likely to engage and play with each other if you were ever able to. Idk feels so dead.

The doctor talking to your character reminds me of fallout new Vegas
