The Fast & The Furious - Caravan Of Garbage

Ойын-сауық

2001's The Fast & The Furious kicked off a franchise in a way that absolutely nobody saw coming. Shooting both Paul Walker and Vin Diesel into super stardom the super car racing/Point Break knock off is in many ways vastly different from what it has become. But there's still the bones of it in there, family, Corona, d*ck swinging, rappers turned actors. Anyways here's our Caravan Of Garbage review, thanks or the support!

Fun fact: most of the people involved in this movie did not think of it as a “car movie” during production. It was a crime drama. It got popular with the boy racer crowd and they decided to make the second one, launching the franchise of 1000RPM ALSO! DANGER TO MANIFOLD!!! wasn’t in the original script. Fast & Furious is a fascinating franchise. It went through a completely normal declining returns trilogy: good movie, okay sequel that only brings back part of the cast, mediocre third movie barely connected to the first two. Happens all the time. Then the fourth movie comes along, somehow gets nearly all the main cast members back, is kind of a messy movie, but manages to breath new life into the franchise. The series pivots from car movies into heist movies then again into spy movies. New characters keep getting cycled in, some of them get cycled back out. Every movie an important relative or close friend either turns out not to be dead or is debuts and is extremely important despite having never been previously unmentioned. They stuff a bunch of movies in between 2 and 3. They retcon why a character died, then retconned that he died at all. Two of the characters get spun off into their own series. The actor playing the second-most important character in the series dies in real life but they manage to tastefully write him out. The stunts and plots get steadily more outlandish every film yet the films keep making tons of money. It's insane. This franchise should be a mandatory subject of study in film schools. I'm not encouraging filmmakers to imitate it, but they need to understand it and why it has succeeded.

As far as the film's alternate titles go...there actually IS a racing movie called Redline. It's an anime. And it's glorious. Also...I like the first FF movie. In point-of-fact, it's the only FF movie I actually do enjoy because of its grounded nature. The later Fast movies get far too silly and over the top for my liking.

I've always been a believer in the fact that a movie, or series of movies, should always follow the rules they establish for their universe. If a movie series starts out as being grounded with realistic people in life-or-death situations that are relatable, then every subsequent movie should do that. But if you start out realistic, and then suddenly everyone turns into a superhero with no in-universe explanation, then it just becomes silliness for silliness sake. That's the difference between the Marvel Universe and something like the Fast and Furious Universe. Marvel has always been a universe of superheroes and the MCU has always followed its own internal rules. Everything that happens in the MCU, you understand because of the rules that were set up in the subsequent films. In Fast & Furious, Dominic Toretto goes from being a street racer who steals merchandise to make money for his side business to being a James Bond level International super-spy that the NSA calls onto do super stuff. And Hobbs and Shaw completely jumped the shark and put in a literal supervillain with superpowers. It just makes no sense. That's why I've always liked the first FF movie and not the follow-ups. It just got kind of ridiculous for no reason.

@@samueltheprideofafrikarobi9319 It was unrealistic from the start like, a car blowing up in blue flames because of nos, in 2 fast 2 furious the bridge scene with the skyline yea a jump like can and indeed mess up your front bumper, side skirts and your back bumper, craig lieberman explained that in a video.A car jumping on to boat, you can't just get a bruised eye brow and a broken arm from that. When it comes to street racing it was never about it.Sure theres race wars and street races but it wasn't the main plot of the movie it was the subplot. The main plot is brian O' conner is working undercover to bring dom custody but doing so he learns from dom and about dom's past, his code and about family. The spin-off Hobbs and shaw nobody wanted it to happen, that's why tyrese and dwayne were beefing with each other and it's the reason why dwayne johnson isn't in fast 9.Tyrese stated that if dwayne johnson's in the next installment he won't be in it.Now when they are in development for the next installment their main goal is to top the last movie when it comes to the action. people think's it's stupid when really their just trying to keep people entertained because believe it or not the 2nd and 3rd installment it didn't catch peoples attention. Also if you go the box office reviews tokyo drift is the lowest of them all, in fact justlin lin himself said that he had struggles with tokyo drift including getting peoples attention. When justlin lin decided to make a fourth installment he wanted to renew the franchise.

Tokyo Drift had the best racing action. Fast Five had the best overall action. Considering the guys were complimenting the practicality of the action in this movie, the action in Fast Five used practical effects and real stunt cars for the the climatic chase scene. Really well done. I love this franchise. I know it's crazy, but I appreciate how insane they're willing to go with it. I can get high cinema or "smart action" elsewhere. For dumb fun and over-the-top action, I look no further than Fast & Furious. It knows what it is and just relishes in it. I can't hate that haha. To each their own though.
