Hello and happy holidays everyone! As my Christmas gift to you, here is our last mod showcase of the year and the last video on the channel for a little while before I go into hibernation. December 31 is when I’ll be setting my channel to private for a while to see how this COPPA stuff plays out, I’ll have a countdown on Twitter if you feel like cutting it to the last minute. In many ways, this showcase feels like the older, first mod showcases I did years ago, so to those who’ve been wishing for a return to that old-school format, I hope you found this one fun. Alas, with the holidays being so hectic, I didn’t have time to compile a “thank you” video, but sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you guys for these almost four incredible years of community and fun. Be good everyone, and I’ll see you when we come back.

This I personally think is the best move for the channel. Not jumping the gun, while not being too nonchalant. Take all the time you need, when you come back, I'll be waiting, and so will the rest of us.

It is probably gonna blowout because they can’t just delete every Family friendly channel because there is no idea of what counts as family friendly do dinosaurs count? Maybe but jurassic park movie deaths say otherwise . Nintendo games count? Nope metroid is really dark. Does bright cartoons count? Nope rick and morty , family guy , bojack and many others say otherwise.

The part where you recite all the dinosaur names in alphabetical order was surreal... and oddly satisfying. ASMR material right there.

​@@SaurianTarget I can imagine the carnivores 3 renderer isnt lightyears different, but you might have to know what you are doing with the depth buffer. For example in Glide, I needed to click the "display depth" option, then the "global..." thing, and you will see 3 options all set at 0. Default looks like: 0 0 0 Carnivores 1 only gives full access to the depth buffer if it looks like this: 0 1 0 Good luck.

@@SaurianTarget That and the API tab are really the cats meow of getting the depth buffer working correctly. It just all depends on how fucked up the code is honestly.

@@SaurianTarget Fixed numbers. Thats final. Going any further and it will look like trash if you ever look at the sun and it drops the depth buffer while the brightness effect kicks in. Its more art than a science.

Coppa: I'm watching you... Saurian Target: *Loads X-Bow* Oh, I know.

There’s a lot of really interesting features in this mod, with some working *much* better than others. The big downside is that they’re all hamfisted together in one big test that kinda gunks it all up into a mixed bag. Though I will say that covering this mod and it’s features was important for archival purposes, and also for possible ideas in the future. Generally poor quantity over quality thing really, but more important to learn from than I would’ve expected.

By far the best Christmas present I've ever gotten - another Saurian Target video! Oh my goodness though that game looks so chaotic and all over the place. Pretty sure I won't be playing this one any time soon. Every second I look at that Pachyrhinosaurus I die inside a little more.

9:29 oh snap Merry Christmas Saurian we will all miss you lad. Can't wait until you make your return. A ton of the features in this mod were in the original Carnivores community edition I really wish that was still being worked on mostly for the sprint option.

Merry Christmas to saurian and all his fans! Hopefully this channels survival through coppa will be his much needed Christmas present.

I haven’t played the mod, but I think the health bar is my favorite feature since I have a tendency to panic when a dinosaur attacks me. I also panic in other games, like fortnite, so a feature that allows me to assess the situation and get my wits about me is greatly appreciated.

Bradyonyx I wish the original game had that feature. I hate losing all my previous trophies thanks to a randoms Velociraptor or Spino coming out of the blue

I too like the health bar; it gives the player a second chance to take down a target. However, the guys on the Carnivores Saga Discord think otherwise...

Been a while since I've seen your vids and played Carnivores, nice to see Carnivores still growing strong with the fans and community works!

What a wonderful video. It's always a good day when Saurian uploads a mod showcase, amd on Christmas eve no less. Excellent work, and _hopefully_ see you in 2020!

Gonna miss this channel, I really really hope things go well and you are able to share more wonderful Carnivores content with us in the future. Thank you for helping keep this community alive, Carnivores played a huge part in my passion for gaming and seeing you make fresh content for such an old gem warms this old Dino Hunters heart!

Thanks for watching, it always means a lot! As for the recording aspect, I've got a second bedroom in my apartment that doubles as my studio. I've got all my acoustic foam setup primarily in a corner of the room with my desk and mic, and the rest of it scattered around the room to cover any bald spots. A lot of work goes into post-production work with the audio after its recorded, though. I spent a lot of time researching the best techniques to make my audio sound better. Hope this helps! I'm always down to chat technique if you have any questions.

I’m actually getting my first proper PC to actually play carnivores mods pretty soon. So I’m hoping I can use your mod installation video as a guide before the channel goes private. Fingers crossed that Coppa doesn’t turn out to be so bad and that you come back pretty soon. Not sure what I’ll have on in the background while I’m doing things instead of your videos 😂

This game looks so chaotic and I'm downloading it right now.

A great showcase, it's true that it is simultaneously a lot but also not really. How come a lot of the stuff here can't work in modern mods? Another question, but I noticed that when you move with a weapon drawn, the accuracy of weapons drops. Is that only a feature in this mod or is that how weapons work in every Carnivores 1 and 2 game?

Man I wish you could download mods on the mobile ports these mods look really cool also love the video I could watch yours all day!

I notice a lot of differences in the game with the mobile and the computer game

Direct3D mode works if you have Windows XP.

Hey Saurian! I have a problem with running this mod, whichever setting i set to, like Software Stero or Direct 3D, it just will show up a random error every time, throwing me back into the lobby, any solutions?

You know if this mod was not a test bed, I could refer it as form of cursed halo but as carnivores and with out halo ce engine.

Also WHERES MY DAKOTARAPTOR!? I WANT my child IN A MOD TOO! 😂

I'd be really happy if someone would remake this mod with everything same except less buggy and 3dn mode. I'll really enjoy that.

i dont know why, but whenever i select a map, every dino, weapons, etc., and press hunt, it loads but then does not take me to the hunt

In my opinion thid mods is more like a precursor for the MEE

Uh oh... I found a cheat! And used it! :0 I found that if you click the "~" button, it will pause the game, but you can still escape. And i had a spin almost get me, but i had 3 allosauruses and I didnt wanna die so... :0
