The Extec C12 Jaw crusher destroyed?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Is this the end of the Extec Crusher?
I sold it to a contractor knowing it was worn out, even though I told them there were issues with the crusher I feel sorry for them. In this video Extec C12 year 2008, Volvo EC380EL, Metso 106, Keestrack K4 scalper. Cat 982M Loader, and my Toyota Hica ;)

The final set up was fascinating to watch and very efficient. 1 in to 3 out and sorted. Wonderful! Thank you.

Great to see some crushing content! What is the bucket on the Volvo designed for looks like a boulder handler!? It looks awful with that super long edge and teeth, weak curl force

Did Hydraulic Oil get through the Hydraulic Pump drive seal and through the Crankshaft seal into the Engine please???????? What Engine is in that C12 ??- They usually fitted CAT 3306 Engines but i think there were some Air Cooled Deutz also

My question is how did hydraulic oil get into the engine? Yes you said a seal broke but that means that another seal possibly broke or something else major.

Hydraulics run within multiple thousands of psi, where as an engine might only been 50/200psi range. So the hydraulic pressure just blows past the engines main crank seals quite easily seeing as its not made to hold back thousands of psi

@@ashboy225 you have a point, I completely forgot that hydraulic oil can be compressed to the thousands in psi

a leaking pump even internally leaking is hardly the end of a machine. Ive fixed pumps like that several times, and the hydraulic fluid will not lock up an engine due to lack of lubricity.

  • @evjone

but it eventually will cause engine to hydrostatic lock due to engine oil filling the cylinder below the piston....

@@evjone sure no doubt you've gotta fix it. It had to of been leaking a while for that. Typically it starts leaking s little before it jjst completely lets got

Yes something is wrong with the engine. These systems are usually designed to have higher oil pressure so that if a seal goes it pumps engine oil into the hydraulic. You'll know bc you will lose engine oil and the hydraulic will start looking very dirty. I suspect your engine had low compression.
