Thank you. The concise nature of this account - something in common with the other ones from females on this channel, tbh - is much appreciated. Not because that brevity, in itself, gives it credibility: it's just a lot to take in if you've never seen one, yet are trying to keep an open- mind. An acquaintance in B.C. had an encounter in Sept. of 2023 - also near the beach, but it left by foot.. (By Bigfeet?) Fwiw, the sighting has had a huge effect on him, possibly because he was an absolute skeptic prior to seeing one. The effects of his experience have been overwhelming - short of trauma, but it reminds me of it. I wonder how many others have had similar reactions and have no intention of sharing their experience with a YT audience. Take care and happy trails to all.

When in the 60's I was a kid and we used to camp on the Skagit River as my mom like to get up before the crack of dawn and fish for steelhead. But my favorite place was up past Index. On the North fork of the Skykomish River. We always found a good isolated place to camp as my dad , actually the whole family didn't want to stay in a campground. I was 9 years old when I walked the trail to my favorite hole and it was so beautiful! But every time I was on that trail I felt like I was being watched. Every time. I never ran but on my way out I hurried my step a little. I didn't know what it was but it didn't feel like it would be a bear or a cougar. I don't know why I felt that way. But I was always glad to get back to the gravel/dirt road and get back to camp! I caught a 9 pound steelhead while fishing for trout on a small pole and small test line. I was happy that day! Haven't been back to the area since the 70's. I live on the Olympic Peninsula and this is where I was born. I'm a 72 year old woman who is scared to death of all the crazy people on the roads! I don't travel well and could never drive to get there. I stay in my area and don't go far. But the wilderness is all around me here. My first experience was in a farm family community near a home. In a little valley he was walking beside a creek. That creek had some very nice trout in it! And there were fruit trees and blue berries in abundance. I believe it was an older one and looking for food. He wasn't a bulked out and his hair was more grayish and a brownish color. He was quite tall. I was driving on a road that followed alongside the valley. I could've pulled off and stopped. A Sunday and no traffic. Maybe I was afraid he's see me? I don't know. That was about 42 years ago. My husband I could tell didn't believe me nor did his dad. So I kept it to myself for many years. my adult kids have had their own experiences too. Here on the peninsula. Out near Forks and even near the casino east of Sequim. Sorry I got to rambing on you! Have a blessed day.
