Near-Death Experience in an Avalanche | An Interview with Monika Dreier-Leuthold

During an Alpine Ski Tour in the area of Oberalp (Switzerland), Monika Dreier-Leuthold was hit by an avalanche and was carried along with it. The time she spent immobalised under the mass of snow - whilst at the same time being able to observe the efforts of her rescue from a bird’s eye view - had a long-lasting effect on her life.
In her interview, she speaks about her experiences and her return to everyday life.
Contents:
00:58 Would you tell us how it came to this accident that you were buried by an avalanche?
21:29 How did your rescue came about?
24:11 Were you able to understand your experience with the avalanche properly? Were you able to speak with others about it?
25:50 Did this experience change your fear and did it have a long-lasting effect on you?
26:48 How did your comeback to normal life take place after this accident?
28:27 How would you assess your dream about dangerous and adventurous travels in retrospect?
29:21 Which role does religion play in your life? Has your relationship to religion changed due to your experiences?
30:22 What is the content of your new film?
31:30 How present is this experience still for you after happening ten years ago? How much of an impact does it still have on your life?
32:08 When you say that you changed internally due to this experience, but others perceived you as somebody who hadn’t changed… Did you feel conflicted because of that?
32:25 What would you like to share with people who have a great fear of death due to your experiences?

Part 1. During August of 1973, I was pronounced DEAD On Arrival, at a Medical centre, and at least half an hour passed by, and then my heart started to beat again, without medical assistance... During the time I was reported to be dead, I, that is "LIFE My Real Self", felt very much alive, but not in this universe, nor did I have a human body or any other type of body. I felt NO Condemnation or judgement, but only a depth of LOVE far beyond human understanding... I saw No relatives, family or friends, and no Form, except for the Presence of pure white LIGHT.

Le Oui YEAH!! “For Real” !!! Just think about it: all this Heaven is real, etc., is extreme helpful... BUT FIRST, Duh- WE SUFFER, FACE PAIN, FEAR, BURDEN TO OUR LOVED ONES, EXPENSE , (medical bills), to the point of leaving the family household in a precarious position- losing house, etc.! Hence- all this Heaven / life goes on is nice, but we STILL do Not have an explanation as to WHY this HARSH - Unfair here on this @Earth Experiment!?!?! We DO have FAITH; We Do Good.... and still nasty experience in this physical world comes right back & SLAPS us in the face 😵

You are. When my pal died in my house i was unaware of him dying in the night and during the night i was visited 2 times by a male spirit being he materialised for 30 seconds both times from an orangey beige ball of fuzzy light he was as clear as any human i ever saw and he looked entirely human with a good face, he was also robed with part of it threw over his right shoulder it was utterly fantastic. Next day i found my pal dead.

This woman is genuine..you sense that. I believe we have a role to play in life, that's why we are here..we are not just tourists..having a life experience. We all have a purpose..each one is different from the next person. Our true personality in not what we think it is..we have built up false ideas about who we are and what others see us as. These falsehoods have been built up through the many influences is our lives, parents, friends, education, religion, the media etc, but this is not who we are. We have to peel away these falsehoods and discover who we are. We all have an individual path we have to walk. I believe it is when we stray from this path unpleasant things happen. I stayed from my own path, though I did not understand at the time, but if we listen to that still small voice within us, we find our way back, and things are much easier. Not smooth, but easier. I also believe that God kicks us in the ass, when we don't listen to our inner voice, he did with me. I realised some years ago that I am here to help others, it comes natural to me. It was this path I strayed from. I have been back on it now for some years. I still get some uncomfortable situations in my life...it is not the situation that matters but how we deal with it. We are explorers here..our soul/consciousness is eternal..

The biggest evidence for life after death aren't the contents of the experience during the nde,but the impact itself on the person during and afterwards... The seconds before the avalanche, the sheer Terror and unimaginable fear of death not wanting to die and would do ANYTHING to to avoid this moment and be alright and safe. Then buried first comming to and panicking, unable to breathe or move begging to be rescued. Dreaming about the moment the snow parts and the light pours in and your out. But then the NDE. The experience. Regardless of what they saw during it, it's powerful enough to take those EXTREME emotions away and drastically change their whole perspective.... "Actually I'm fine now, and would rather NOT be rescued" That say's it all....

You feel that your cat is your guide? She could be a deceased relative or someone who really loved and cared for you in this life or from a previous one. The truth is, we have been born, died and reborn billions of time. Everyone you have met in your live has once been a close relative of yours, including animals. This is what Buddhists call the wheel of Samsara. When the shell of the illusion of an individual I cracks open, either at death, a near death experience or a DMT break through, we are confronted with who we really are. All you see and experience in this hightend state of mind is still your own mind. Buddhist train themselves to transcend the Illusion of a separated I and can see things and know things which for most people seems to be out of this world :)

Some would say Monika just experienced a great illusion of the mind, but I think this goes much deeper than that. I think NDEs are the window into the true meaning of consciousness. I think the brain does not produce consciousness and so when we die, or are close to death, mind and consciousness leaves the body. The only puzzling thing is why so many people in similar situations do not have a spiritual experience. Many people would just lose consciousness and have no memory. But others like Monika seem to have vivid lucid experiences. It could be some people forget the experience upon awakening. Who knows.

ask if you remember your dreams . She remembers her dreams. she remembered her dream warning in detail. it’s a bit like a level of awareness. everyone would remember more the longer they are present in the out of body state. its like you wake up that part of your awareness . at night you even leave the body sometimes , you just don’t remember. I remember a few of mine. i even remember states of conflict where it took longer to leave the body or come back in, these are weird, paralysis , buzzing, vibration. nothing to worry about though. you are spirit, your just choosing to live a life in a human experience.

I have commented quite a few times on this story. Some replying to others..giving my views. I don't come from a direction of faith..but what I know. Some things I am still meditating on. What I do know from personal experience is..The human soul is real..though I think more in the way of human consciousness. .and not in the way of a spirit body..the spirit body is a creation of the one we call God. Our consciousness is a part of God..like a beach is made up of individual grains of sand..together..they make a beach..all life are individual grains of sand..individual consiousness. We do not loose or individuality. Anyway..when my wife Bea, died in hospital on January of this year..I had no idea she had passed. I went to bed at my normal time of 10 pm. As I lay my head down and turned off my bedside light..I felt a definite pressure on my wife's side of the bed..at that same moment, my pillow was tugged. I sat up..turned on the light. and saw nothing. I even looked under my pillow just in case a snake had somehow got under it. Nothing. I lay my head down again and turned off the light..at that moment..my pillow was tugged again..I again repeated my actions..sat up..light on..nothing. Next I knew I was waking up..it was morning. It was only that next morning, I discovered she had crossed over the night before. Bea, died at 9pm..my experience was at 10 pm. for those who have lost beloved pets..they also survive..I have experienced those kinds of visits also. I had no pets at that time. I have experienced many things like this all most of my life..so I have no need for faith. I was not the only one to experience her presence that night. So did our close family friend..a Bulgarian woman. It scared her and she will not talk about it..I respect that. I am a vegetarian..I will not eat anything with a heartbeat or soul. Thinking back on a childhood act..I now realise..even then I knew animals were special. I borrowed a friend's air-rifle and shot a starling that was sat on a chimney pot. I felt awful. I felt like something in me had been taken from me. Now I know what ? I had interrupted another souls journey. This leads me to ask..how large or small is a soul ? This is why I think in the way of..we are consciousness. Consciousness has no registrable mass. The soul people see..including the souls of animals and humans..are a creation of our consciousness. It is only a shape and image of the body it exits. When you see the soul of a loved one, it is created only for identification by loved ones left behind. As for a ghost..not real at all..just a recording of some past event the ghost had experienced. Much like a recording, say of a voice on a tape. The person..soul..is not there. The soul has gone on long ago. It is an imprint left behind. I hope I have made sense.

The part that really puzzles me is the fact that many NDE’ers say that it felt like years, when in our time it was only a matter of minutes. Then why is it they don’t come back remembering many, many conversations, years of conversation and events that took place? Why is it only that one immediate experience at death and just immediately afterwards? And sense that’s not the case, what would make it feel like years then? I can understand that time is totally different, but ifs that’s the case, once again, what makes it feel like years to them. Years is something we experience and feel in time, not out of time. Out of time, you would logically think you would experience no sensation of time what-so-ever. Period! 😳
