It's incredible to think that when we see that mummy, we might actually be gazing at the same face that Moses saw, the same mouth that kept saying, "No," to Moses' demands to let his people go. Almost three and a half thousand years later!! Thank you for this.

But wasn’t the Pharaoh of Exodus drowned when crossing the Red Sea? Didn’t his widow left with no husband, son, even high Officials or an army send to the Hittani for a husband (as recorded in history), to get an heir.

You might not be wrong there. If you think about it, Moses dealt with two pharaohs. The first one he had to run from, that would have been Thutmose III. Amenhotep then took over and Moses returned after 40 years. Interesting side note, Hatshapsut had significant power during Thutmose early years, and may have well been the “pharaohs daughter” who took in Moses. Edit: what I find really cool about this information is secular resources oblivious to the Bible set up these time lines and events, and then when I compare them to the Word it really fits. I know the Bible is true, hard to say who is who when names aren’t used. But this all makes a lot of sense. And again, you have secular historians confirming the truth of the Bible inadvertently.

None of the Bible authors claim to have been dictated to by God, so the Bible is the "word of men setting out their opinions as to the word of God." The Muslims believe the Koran is the word of God as they believe God dictated it to Mohammed. If you take the Bible as the "word of God," please explain, oh, let's see ... Gobekli Tepe? However, I respect that many Christians believe this to be true, so I'm not knocking the phrase in general, only for the purpose of using the Bible as portraying absolute historical fact in all instances and respects, essentially because "God says so.".

There was no drowning of Pharaoh's army, no movement of the Red Sea. Hebrews came and went from Egypt for many centuries, sometimes as traders, sometimes as mercenaries, sometimes as war captives. The origin of Israel lay in the hills of Judea and Samaria where small groups of Canaanites, and possibly/probably some Hebrew who left Egypt combined to create monotheism.

I'm currently pursing an MA in Apologetics. The Christian university I attend however, seems to have an excess of scriptural critics. When I showed this video to our resident archaeology professor, he ultimately dismissed it as "smoke and mirrors," stating "It’s long been a point of contention that the God Yahweh is linked with the Shashu of various parts in the ANE." Note that he says its "a point of contention," yet doesn't really explain why that is so or how the name is "linked" to to other people. It makes me wonder why so many "Christian" academics seem so hesitant about standing up for the historical validity of the Bible. BTW...BEST video I've ever seen on this subject. Keep it up!

That's the problem. To a believer, we believe the Bible true and accurate by faith, however many think the Word of God to be based on myths and far fetched legend, and even Jewish renditions thought to be copies of pagan stories. Compare Samson and Hercules or The Ten Commandments said to be copied from the stele of Hammurabi. Jesus said somewhere speaking to the ruling Temple Sanhedrin that if they could shut Jesus up the very stones would cry out. Pretty much every corner of the globe, except the remotest depths, the gospel has gone forth, yet evil men driven by Satan have tried their utmost to stop the gospel from being delivered. Now it's an all out effort to thwart the gospel with the internet highway of misinformation or by holding back or hiding comparative truth that would otherwise be historical evidence that the Bible is true and God's Word accurate. Many scholars are themselves unbelievers appointed by the devil to create doubt and hide critical facts not recorded in the Bible but written down in historical manuscripts hidden from the general public. Take for instance the very name of God, YHVH. For two thousand years nobody knew what the correct pronunciation was until probably the last five or six years when a Hebrew Bible scholar and Torah following Jew, Nehemiah Gordon, found Jewish gospel manuscripts dating back to the first century hidden in the trash piles and dust bins of the Roman Vatican and nobody else bothered them, yet the name of our Father in heaven was written all over them with the vowel points of pronunciation. Like a dead sea scroll discovery all over again, however the Christian community has been very very slow to catch on. I pray in God's name, Yahovah our Father in heaven, the Son Yashua and the Holy Spirit. It shouldn't matter all that much though, God did after all create the nations and their particular language at the Tower of Babel.

There's no Bible verse that tells you how many books are in it, not even in the Ethiopian compilations that have up to 86 books in them. So by definition, we can't "just follow the Bible" on everything because the Bible does not contain itself. It's important to remember that the Bible has multiple kinds of context, and to take it in the wrong context or out of context are both incorrect, and can easily lead people to error. I love the Biblical archaeology, it's very helpful at providing extra context and linking it to the Bible and the teachings of the Church.

There’s actually incredibly little physical evidence for Exodus. The mention of Moses he cites is from more than a 1000 years later, and the story is actually much different from that of the Bible if you look into it. There is no evidence of Jews ever being enslaved in Egypt, let alone 2 million of them, there’s no evidence of a sudden drop in population of 2 million in Egypt around that time, there’s no physical evidence of 2 million people roaming the desert (which there absolutely would be), there’s no evidence of 2 million people suddenly settling in Judea. And this one is big: this Pharaoh he lists as being form Exodus here didn’t die in the Red Sea like the Bible says, he died 20 years after he says this event took place!

That’s the problem with us. We’re fallen creatures. The knowledge we gain tends to puff us up and then we begin to believe that we know more than we actually do. One day all things will be understood and then we’ll see just how dumb we really were. This is why I just take the Bible for what it says and I tend not to allow man’s interpretation due to discoveries of a past he has no clue about lead me down a rabbit hole. When people do that they tend to start twisting scripture to make it say what they want it to say.

I noticed on your video that the body of Amenhotep II looked like he had bumpy skin. I went to Wikipedia, and their description of the body says, "Unusually, the skin all over the body is covered with small tubercles though Smith could not say if they were the result of the embalming process or disease." This could be physical evidence of the 6th plague, the plague of boils found in Exodus chapter 8. "So they took soot from the furnace and stood before Pharaoh. Moses tossed it into the air, and festering boils broke out on man and beast. The magicians could not stand before Moses, because the boils had broken out on them and on all the Egyptians." In my experience, whenever the Bible says "all," it truly means all, so this would include the pharaoh himself. Wikipedia also recorded this: "Smith estimated he was forty to fifty at death based on his worn teeth and greying hair." This age is consistent with the available data - history says he ascended to the throne at age 18 and reigned for 26 years, so he would have been approximately 44 years old when he drowned in the Red Sea. Thanks for the videos - they are very stimulating and our helping my wife and me in our personal studies of the Bible. We teach an End Times prophecy class at our local church and showed our class your video on Babylon as proof of fulfilled prophecy. The problem with identifying Amenhotep II, whose mummified remains you viewed, as the Pharaoh of the Exodus is EXODUS 14:28. The Pharaoh of the Exodus was his father, Thutmose III who died 15 years after the Exodus. The “pharaoh” who died in the Red Sea and whose remains were never recovered, was Thutmose III ‘s eldest son and heir, Crown Prince Amenemhat, older brother of Amenhotep II who then became heir apparent and succeeded to the throne in Amenemhat’s stead. The Pharaoh of the Infanticide was Amenhotep I and the Pharaoh of the Captivity was Ahmose I, the “pharaoh who knew not Joseph”, Exodus 1:8 The King is dead; long live the King! Thutmose III is regarded by many historians as the greatest Pharaoh in the history of ancient Egypt, a brilliant general, victorious in twenty six campaigns, the Napoleon of the ancient world. He was an accomplished horseman, swordsman, archer and athlete. Before Thutmose III fully became Pharaoh at the age of 23 upon the passing of his stepmother and aunt, Hatshepsut who had been co-regent with him, he had for a few years been in command of the Egyptian Army and gained experience of military campaigns. It is very likely that in turn his eldest son and appointed heir, Amenemhat, was brought up in his father’s footsteps and also had solid experience in military leadership by the time he was around 20 years old. His name is recorded on an inscription in the Karnak Temple at about the time of the death of his great-aunt, Hatshepsut and he also is depicted in the Theban tomb of his tutor, Min, the Mayor of Thinis. Given his military prowess, Thutmose almost certainly would have brought his son and heir up in a military environment and ensured his preparation for a role in military leadership and ultimately the kingship of Egypt. Amenemhat very likely acquired similar skills to those of his father in athletics, horsemanship, swordsmanship and archery. Mysteriously, no further information other than that he predeceased his father seems to be available. Unlike the other royals of the 18th Dynasty whose tombs are in the Valley of the Kings, there is no record of the circumstances of Crown Prince Amenemhat’s death and his tomb has never been found. In the Exodus year of 1440 BCE, 15 years before the death of his father, the Crown Prince would have been about 18 -20 years old and in his prime (his father became sole ruler of Egypt at the age of 23 and to make the point, Alexander the Great became king of Macedonia when he was just 20 years old). Crown Prince Amenemhat had a younger brother, Prince Amenhotep. After the Exodus and the death of his older brother, Amenhotep became the heir apparent to the throne of Egypt. He inherited a vast kingdom from his father which he held by means of a few military campaigns in Syria. His reign is usually dated from 1427 to 1401 BCE as he was co-regent for two years with his father before Thutmose III died in 1425 BCE. Pharaoh Amenhotep II left several inscriptions touting his athletic skills while he was a leader of the army before his crowning. He was no less athletic than his powerful father and claims to have been able to shoot an arrow through a copper target one palm thick, and that he was able to row his ship faster and farther than two hundred members of the navy could row theirs. This supports the notion that his older brother, Amenemhat, was also athletic with well-developed military skills. If Crown Prince Amenemhat died without trace or burial place around 1440 BCE, he is a strong candidate for the epithet "Pharaoh of the Exodus”. Sent by his father at the head of the chariot regiment to pursue the fleeing Hebrew slaves, he perished in the Red Sea according to the Old Testament narrative. He never returned and his body was never recovered for burial. Unless and until archaeologists discover evidence to the contrary, this must be considered a strong possibility which goes some way to supporting the Exodus account in the Bible as a credible historical fact. Egyptian Pharaohs only left records of their military victories, never of their defeats. The escaping multitude of Hebrew and Hyksos slaves would have been regarded as an evil enemy and the total annihilation of the pursuing Egyptian cavalry led by Prince Amenemhat was an ignominious defeat. It is no wonder that there is no record of the circumstances of his death. A black granite shrine inscribed with hieroglyphics was found in el-Arish, a town on the border between Egypt and Palestine. A section reads: “Now when the majesty of Ra-Harmachis fought with the evil-doers in this pool, the Place of the whirlpool, the evil-doers prevailed not over his majesty. His majesty leapt into the so-called Place of the Whirlpool” (a few lines later it says that he was thrown by a great force). He was thrown by the whirlpool high in the air. It takes pains to make clear that he was not defeated by the enemy, the evil-doers, but was the victim of a cyclonic natural force. It is tempting to think that this might be a record of the fate of the majesty, Crown Prince Amenemhat in the Red Sea, but there really is no evidence that “the majesty of Ra-Harmachis” was Crown Prince Amenemhat. Extract from: “The Secret of the Origins of the Israelites” Ken W Parsons, Forensic Historian The full scientific account of the Exodus which validates the Biblical account is found in “The Secret of the Exodus” by the same author.

"If you keep buying the bull, you're going to lose out, of a most precious time." ignoring the irony for a moment, what "bull" am I buying? And there is no way I can "lose out". "I'm guessing that either you've never read the Bible or did so only to try, to find it false.." Well, both your guesses are incorrect...but have you ever actually read the Bible cover to cover? "That won't get you anywhere and you will stay blind to what is so very obvious, to so many." My skepticism has gotten me this far, and just because many think something is "obvious", doesn't mean it's true. "If you approach it with alternate intent other than exploring and learning, you will be kept blind purposely..." The logic of that claim is flawed, but basically you are saying that if I don't believe, then I won't believe.

For those wondering, you can't actually find specific depictions of the Exodus through Egyptian records, and the reason being is that Egyptians believed that words carried power, which meant in many cases that the more unsavory parts of stories and history would be omitted. It is very cool, however, that archeologists can still pinpoint people in whom this would have been the case. Ergo, imagine an event in Egyptian history so terrifying, so ecologically and financially destructive, that Egypt would strike it from their history than admit to the truth.
