Is There Scientific Proof Of The Bible's Plagues | The Exodus Decoded | Timeline

The Exodus. The very word invokes an epic tale of Pharaohs and Israelites, plagues and miracles, the splitting of the sea, the drowning of an army, Moses and revelation. The story is at the very heart of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
After six years of research, working with archeologists, Egyptologists, geologists and theologians, Simcha Jacobovici came to the groundbreaking conclusion that the Exodus took place hundreds of years earlier than previously thought. With this new timetable in hand, Jacobovici and his colleagues re-examined long ignored archeological artifacts and uncovered the truth about the Exodus and the Egyptian dynasty that ruled at the time.
The producers teamed up with some of the world’s most accomplished special effects designers to create a unique digital, organic experience of the Exodus. Blending archeological findings with modern eye catching effects, Jacobovici built a virtual museum to showcase his discoveries.

This story is about God freeing his chosen people from the grip of pharaoh. As a Muslim and I’m assuming an Arab you are in no way shape or form included in what the Bible describes as gods chosen people. The Bible tells us that Arabs and Islam or an offshoot of God‘s holy people and that Islam itself is a perversion of the word of God. However that being said. It is very easy to become a part of gods chosen people by simply excepting the love of Jesus Christ into your heart. Even if someone is born Jewish if they don’t accept Christ they won’t go to heaven. Christ’s love and the necessity for his mercy is the great equalizer of humanity we all need it and when we except it we are all equal.

The Bible has many credible stories that are miraculously timed, if one can figure out how God was just more efficient than usual. But considering how efficiently some people can be to do the wrong things; maybe that isn't even too astounding by itself. The relationships that made the timing, well. I think sometimes, the subconscious of those being oppressive therein, sometimes deems to gives them a big backfire and so make "balance" and "that's what's due" make logical "brain flow" sense. Perhaps our brains are more thoroughly informed in that area about the whole of Reality's progressions than we consciously note.

Exodus story told us about Egyptian Pharoa Ramses, archeologist PROVED Egyptian king Ramses was a real king. About 4000years later. This KZread video proved nothing, cleverly threading some scientific phenomenon to disregard Exodus story. Did they find iron deposit that reacted to volcanic action near Nile river? Why did the lice swarm happen not the cockroach swarm? Even if Exodus plague was caused by how this video theorizes, real question should be how did Moses knew and predict in advance with exact timing and sequence? This is something modern scientists cannot do collectively. Most historian base their historical findings on oral history. Any written history is considered absolute proof. In this fake documentary video, written records from millennia ago is discounted with poorly threaded suppositions. Many used to say Ramses never existed and discounted Exodus story. Last couple of decades, there are too many anti-Israelite documentary produced with Arabic or Muslim financial support. As a non Jewish person, the producers of anti-Jewish documentaries should be more transparent about supporters to gain any credibility.

The Exodus took place at c1420BC, while Santorini was Erupting. This was the "Pillar of Smoke" by day and "Pillar of Fire" by night, it was the plume from Santorini. This is also what caused the waters to part, a Tsunami in the Nile Delta. This would explain the waters parting and falling back behind. It is also possible that the reason for the people to bear their name was due to them "wandering" into Egypt, as the Ancient Egyptian word for "Wanderer" was "Hapiru", which is where the name "Hebrew" is derived from. It is also now becoming widely accepted that the real Moses was actually the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten, who was not actually escaping from the Pharaoh, but the Priests of Amun who had taken charge of the Army because Akhenaten had destroyed their power as Heads of the Temples and leaders of the Religion. It is now known that Akhenaten escaped the Priests and the Army by crossing the River Nile at an area of the river where there is an Island covered in Reeds, locally known as the "Reed Sea", and coincidencentaly, the Aramaic Scriptures state that Moses crossed the "Reed Sea", not the Red Sea. Ruins of Akhenaten's city were found on the opposite side of the river Nile from Thebes. It is a very big coincidence that Moses was supposed to be the Brother of the Son of the Pharaoh, or adopted Brother and the name of the Pharaoh on the Stelii which gives the Hebrew name meaning "Brother of Moses". That Ark of the Covernant was even based on the shape of an Egyptian Funerary Box., known as an "Arcus". There is also a theory that the story of Moses actually fits to the story of Osiris, being found in a basket and the Pharaoh trying to kill him, who just so happened to be his Brother!

I agree with your Thera Santorini theory except that I believe that the Exodus date is closer to approximately 1585 BC rather than 1420 BC. Many Bible interpreters estimate the date of the "coming out from Egypt" to be somewhere around circa 1450 BC. Notice that unusual phrasing = "coming out from Egypt" instead of simply "came out of Egypt" or "left Egypt". The phrase "coming out" is a process while "came out" is a single event verb. Notice the reverse of the process = "coming to Egypt" = in Isaiah chapter 19 verse 1. Those who preconceive "coming out from Egypt" as a bare single event circa 1450 BC hold on to that belief for various reasons including simplistic fixation on 1 Kings chapter 6 verse 1 which computes a period of 480 years starting from "coming out from Egypt" to Solomon's 4th year as King. Many forgot that the 480 years are "Purification Years" forming part of a longer number of calendar years. The "Chosen People" community members must purify themselves before they can qualify as sufficiently holy for the purpose of constructing the Temple. The nation under the reign of David was not yet spiritually ripe and therefore did not qualify for the privilege of constructing the Temple. See 1 Chronicles chapter 22 verses 8 to 11. The nation at the time of Solomon's 4th year as King = at the 480th purification year = was at the brink of "seventy sevens" or 490 purification years. Those who date the "coming out from Egypt" at circa 1450 BC are apparently not yet aware of the 93 "backsliding years" or "dark ages" which the 480 purification years must also purify. See Acts chapter 13 verses 18 to 21 in relation to Judges chapter 3 verse 8 all the way to Judges chapter 13 verse 1 for a comprehensive narrative of the 93 "dark years" consisting of 8 years under Mesopotamia plus 18 years under Moab plus 20 years under Canaan plus 7 years under Midian plus 40 years under Philistine equals 93 dark years. 8 + 18 + 20 + 7 + 40 = 93 "dark years". Adding the 93 dark years plus the 480 purification years in 1 Kings chapter 6 verse 1 sums up to 573 years from the "coming out from Egypt" episode to the Temple construction starting date by the nation led by King Solomon. Therefore the start of the "coming out from Egypt" episode was much earlier than circa 1450 BC. The more theologically-relevant and archeologically harmonious "coming out from Egypt" episode is circa 1585 BC. Take note: 1585 BC is closer to the David Rohl chronology. Coincidence: 1585 BC is also the latest dendro tree ring chronology calculation of the earthshaking Thera Santorini volcanic eruption with mega tsunamis reaching all the way to Egypt.

But knowing God is a personal encounter for every man and woman, and when the Lord JESUS rescued me in the depths of my despair, my lowest point in life as I humbled myself, He showed me the kind of life-changing power He has and that the Creator of the whole Universe and all its laws, is personal and loves each and every one of us, His children :) And now no one can take that away from us! @Adam Taylor And yet Religion and Faith will conquer, today and tomorrow. It will be real, and central to humanity for as long as there are people. Its forms and manifestations will change and mutate over time, but it will persist, and more often than not it will be the central foundation of most sustainable societies and communities. It's the simplistic who believe that human concepts, thinking, ideas and everything they create socially, are based in reality. They are not. Everything is based on a model of reality, and models, unlike reality, are not constrained by anything except need and desire, love and fear...and facility. No ideology or philosophy that turns its back on the fundamental utility of Faith and Religion will long persist, except as sometimes tolerated, usually persecuted, minorities. The skeptics are doomed to the fool's place, sometimes indulged, sometimes humored, but usually flogged. It's always fascinating how often philosophy pursues 'truth' and only finds its, and its community's, marginalization, oppression and destruction. As long as humans are mortal they will need gods, and they will always find them, and they will always have power over those who deny them. As Gibbon put it so eloquently describing classical Roman popular gods: "all considered by the people as equally true; by the philosopher as equally false; and by the magistrate as equally useful". In the end Religion will always conquer those who deny it. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

You shared with others what you had and you were always kind You were always witnessing; you wanted no one left behind. You comforted those in sorrow; you prayed for those still lost You tried to be a friend to all, no matter what the cost. You let My light shine through you so others around could see That you had something special, and you told them it was free. You shared the gift of salvation and they were soon to agree They wanted the joy and peace you had so they too could be free. You said to them 'repent of your sins; ask Jesus into your heart He will change you from within and into a new work of art'. You told them of the blood I shed to wash their sins away You told them of eternal life I planned for them one day. I truly enjoyed watching this documentary. Thank you for sharing. Although I must add, that through my own research, the Bible puts the Exodus of the Israelites at 1513b.c.. Which is very close to what these experts say at 1500b.c.. But they are basing their times on the the expulsion of the Hyksos peoples, which are totally different from the Israelites. The Hyksos worshiped Baal or Set, and they ruled in Egypt for a time. This is completely contrary to the Israelites who only worshiped ONE God, Yahweh in Hebrew or Jehovah in English. The Israelites became slaves in Egypt. They did not rule at all, making it impossible for the Hyksos and the Israelites to be the same people. By my calculations, that would make possibly that Thutmose I the King of Egypt who went against the Israelites God Jehovah. It is said that he ruled for 13 years in the 18th dynasty of Egypt from 1526 - 1513 b.c. Also it is said that his firstborn died shortly before he did...The last plague, God killed the firstborn of Egypt, and don't forget, the Bible points out that Pharoah and his military forces drowned after they tried to catch the Israelites through the Red Sea. Just my thoughts on the documentary. God bless everyone! 🥰

I would agree that the timeline is a bit off, and I think you are very close. My own research is very close to all of you, but I think you are off by one generation. It's true that Thutmose 1 lost his first son, but there are some very critical points that everyone seems to keep missing when looking at this. I have heard even in Seminary that it was Thutmose 3, but I think this is wrong also. My own research seems to support that it was the one in between, Thutmose 2 for so many reasons. Without writing what is years of research here, one thing that is critical in understanding this is how the Pharaohs would have engaged warfare. Hollywood always depicts them as standing on a hillside overlooking the battlescene like modern-day generals might. But that just isn't how they fought, nor is it evidenced in scripture NOR in their own stele inscriptions. Pharaohs LED their troops into battle. They were a god on earth. Pharaohs are always credited with how THEY overcame their enemies in battle. They would have solidified their position AS god by vanquishing the enemies, and this is how you see it both in Egyptian writing and those outside of it. Taking that into consideration, the Pharaoh of the Exodus would have LED them into that battle, and scripture says that NONE of them came out alive when the waters came down on them. That's something that you also pointed out, so it's nice to hear others say it to. Scripture is very clear in this. It also says that the bodies of many of them were scattered on the shores and seen by others. So that means you have to START with a Pharaoh that has died suddenly. Hollywood and even many historians keep trying to have a Pharaoh live on past the Exodus and build many things and do many great accomplishments. While there are many Pharaohs where they may have had a short reign or died suddenly. The only one that seems to line up with the dates is Thutmose 2. He had a short reign, died early in his lifetime, and very little is known about him. His sister Hatshepsut reigned after his death, and she DID do a lot of accomplishments. His only heir was Thutmose III, but there is no record of a long line of successors, which you would have expected in approximately 13 years of reign. His mummy is also the only one that's been found to date that still has evidence of severe boils on it. Now with that said, I'm still researching and piecing things together, so I don't pretend that everything that I am saying is 100% accurate. I've just been studying this for a very long time. I've watched other documentaries on this from other sources. This isn't the first I've heard of Manfred Bietak and his work at Avaris. I've also learned a lot from this too, that regardless of whether it's biblically accurate, it's still fascinating to watch. If you have any additional information that can shed light on this, I would love to read your research and compare notes. I think we're all pretty close in things here, so it's just a matter of fine tuning somewhere.

This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior. 7 “So then, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when people will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ 8 but they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.”

(Just a theory) It's possible that the plagues did not effect the Avaris erea near Goshen. Perhaps because the way animals were treated differently by the Hixos vs the egyptian? (If an earthquake had seperated the nile near the delta so none of their water turned blood red full of dead creatures.) Then the other preceeding plagues would also not effect the Goshen area. No frogs, no flies or gnats, no lice, no epidemic of cattle, no boils, no locus and as they lived in a multi tiered metropolis (as the painting shows) everyone probably slept on their roof in the open air rather in a special "first born" bed in a closed-in bed chamber. Sounds like you missed the memo here. The video is not validating biblical claims. It rather per Occam's Razor is positing science/archeological explanations for possible events which might have been the origin of said biblical claims. The Bible is not a history book and thus it should not be viewed as literal truth. What this shows is that some of what it contains may have a factual basis in history - just not as depicted in the Bible. The Bible creators appear to have taken common to the region lore and "Christianized" that to allow the reader to read something they might recognize = and assume it ties into Christian dogma. Such "amalgamation" by the way was commonplace for religious belief. When Christianity moved into Northern Europe as an example what were originally pagan holidays and concepts were "reworked" into Christian ones. It makes it easier to indoctrinate a population into some new belief construct if what is claimed is already recognizable for them being based upon their previously held beliefs. So avoid "confirmation bias" and recognize the paradigm of Occam's Razor. If a more plausible evidence-based explanation is found = the older more assumptive one can be discarded - and the biblical accounts are laden with assumptions. 🤔

All male children of Jews were murdered at birth. The fact that Moses was adopted by the Pharoes' daughter and then lived to adulthood is a miracle. If you are in doubt about the existence and power of God, ask him to reveal himself to you. If you read scripture, you will find the truth in it. Read Genesis 19:1-29. Throughout history, God has been watching over all his saints. Moses could have rejected Gods revelations and directions to him. Thankfully, he didn't disobey. God revealed himself to Lots' wife in Sodom and Ghomorah. She rejected his orders. He punished her by turning her into a pillar of salt. Then he destroyed the city with fire from heaven. Moses would have known this story, as he was a Jew. Throughout scripture, God has punished those people who refused his directions. We have many other proofs. My best guess: In northern Egypt, large numbers of Canaanites had been migrating into Egypt ever since the time of Joseph [Note: Only some Canaanites were Hebrew. The rest worshipped Baal]. Generally known as the Hyksos, they took over and governed this region in 1638 BCE. Prior to this, in 1650 BCE, a powerful fireball (asteroid air explosion similar to the 1908 Tunguska event in Siberia) had devastated the fertile Canaanite region north of the Dead Sea, which would have increased the number of people migrating. Note, also, that this area is along a rift zone with many geologic faults, especially to the west - where the Santorini super volcano Thera had already been building towards an explosion. Four years later, in 1646 BCE, it blew and triggered the events known as the Ten Plagues of the Exodus. So, in a nutshell, Canaanite numbers had been increasing for a long time and had become so problematic for the Egyptians that countermeasures against them led to the events that brought Moses into the picture [Review biblical story of Joseph and then of Moses]. Then the fireball incident sends a new wave of immigrants into a deteriorating situation that had already forced Moses to flee from Egypt. Then between the time of the fireball incident and the Santorini explosion, God tells Moses to go forth to Egypt. Moses does so, and one of the first things that happens during this time is that Santorini explodes and the Ten Plagues of Egypt ensues. So why then would some random journalist start trying to omit God from biblical history and falsify information written therein? Morons. Hi guys, thanks for all your replies. I'm surprised and Im not sure where to start. I haven't read the bible, so I am not well informed on that front and I have only seen a few docos on the exodus and for me this is the best one I've seen so far from the point of view of the evidence that they presented. Maybe my level of standards is somewhat lacking, however @syngromu and @markj6700 you both talk about the evidence against these events, in fact Mark you specifically said the evidence shows that this didn't happen, but you both haven't said to me what your evidence is, maybe if you can share the evidence you are referring to with me and the other readers, then I can look at that and give you back my opinion on those. I thought that this doco was well presented, the evidence they presented in relation to the Timing, The Causes and Order of the 10 plagues that beset the Egyptians makes very good scientific sense, not my opinion but from what we now know about the after effects of massive Earth Quakes, the Gas from Lakes and Oceans, Tsunamis and I think they got the dates pretty close from the evidence they showed us from the Med. I don't believe that Gods exist and unless any of them introduces themselves to me personally, I doubt I ever will. In summary, in my opinion only, this has been the best presented doco on the Exodus I have seen so far, but Mark I have not seen the Evidence or the Historian that you are talking about that disproves this ever happened, so I am looking forward to seeing that. And Yes I understand that this is made for TV etc, but I still felt that they put across a good case for the Exodus happening and what and how the 10 plagues happened and we all saw what happened on that Boxing Day Earth Quake and Tsunami that hit Thailand, the Gassing that killed all those poor people in Africa from the Lake, it was shocking and if you hadn't seen it with your own eyes you almost wouldn't believe it if someone had just told you about it. Thanks guys I look forward to your evidence. Cheers Kev Borg

15th Century Pharaohs - Thutmose III was the Pharaoh who wanted to kill Moses after Moses was vanished by Moses adoptive grandmother regent Queen who became Pharao woman Hatshepsut, daughter of Hatshepsut and her widowed pharaoh husband Tuthmoses II, is princess Neferure most likely 20 years old when she found Moses while Tughmoses III was only less than 5 years old. (the much older half-sister of Tuthmoses III, Tuthmoses III was born later 3 years before Tuthmoses II died). So since both her parents were Pharaohs, she was called the pharaoh's daughter who pulled baby Moses out of the river. Moses' grandmother Pharaoh Hatshepsut served as Pharaoh while Tuthmoses III her stepson was only 3 years old when Tuthmoses II died young. The only child of Hatshepsut is Neferure, the mother of Amenhotep II was born later to Neferure and so her other son is her adopted baby Moses was about the same age as Tuthmoses III. Tuthmoses III as one of the ten plagues of Exodus from the Bible mentioned the death of firstborns including Tuthmoses III son. Moses' 10 plagues killed all the first sons of Egypt, most likely Amenhotep II being the Egyptian brother of Moses is technically the second son of the princess. Nefurer is the half-sister of the much younger Tuthmoses III, prob the same age as Moses, the current woman Pharaoh her grandmother Hatshepsut probably offered Moses to be the regent Pharaoh for his young brother, Amenhotep II the direct bloodline of Hatshepsut and Tuthmoses II. When Moses turned down the offer to rule, the Pharaoh's grandmother may have banished Moses away from Egypt. Most likely Tuthmoses III found this out and when he became the Pharaoh when Hatshepsut died, he erased his stepmother and his half-sister's information from all Egyptian records, thus erasing Moses' name as well as Moses is the adoptive son of the pharaoh's daughter. Most likely, Tuthmoses III died under the Red Sea changing his mind after losing his son from 10 plagues of Moses to force the Exodus of the Hebrews under Moses' protest. It all worked out for his plan to vanish his older half-sister and her sons, there was a record of the wife of Tuthmoses III named Satia while Neferure's other new Hebrew name is Batia, interesting how they sound similar. The Bible says Neferure aka Batia, Moses' Egyptian mother traveled with the Hebrews out of Egypt most likely Amenhotep II also her other son went with her as a young man. However, like many kings they killed competing bloodlines for the throne, most likely Pharaoh took his army to follow and kill Moses, with his Princess Neferure adoptive mother, and Moses' young brother Amenhotep II who had rights to the Egyptian throne. My gut feeling, since most likely Tuthmoses III either died drowning in the Red Sea or took his nephew Amenhotep II as a hostage, back to Egypt as a promise, Moses would not come back to Egypt. Thus all records of queen/regent/pharaoh Hatshepsut, her daughter Princess Neferure, and Moses are not in Egyptian records. Neferure is also depicted on a Year 11 stela in Serabit el-Khadim, but is completely absent from Senenmut's second tomb. Therefore, the only clear reason for Tuthmoses III erasing their record is this story that connects to the Exodus. Tuthmoses III then made his hostage nephew Amenhotep II the next Pharaoh anyway. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fpN1mqSYfcenlLw.html&pp=ygUVd29tYW4gcGhhcmFvaCAxNDQwIGJj

@@DomusQueen89Well, I’m not so sure whether they necessarily need the Abrahamic religions. Certain stories in the Bible are evil and cannot by reconciled with 21st century morality. It isn’t so much a source of morality, it’s like a big brother who is watching people and scaring them with some form of eternal punishment. If fear is the reason for someone to be good, how genuine is that person really. I’ve talked to religious people and many of them try to guilt you by preaching sin and repentance. It creates some strange dynamic of interdependence which eventually can be a platform for abuse. Just look at evangelical Christians. Their leaders (e.g. Joel Osteen) enrich themselves by convincing their gullible congregation of sinful behavior.
