That's exactly what I thought, too. Would've been cool to see him extend the ARG a few more videos where he writes and leaves the notes. Then another video where he gets injured and then trails blood in all the areas we've previously seen blood at which would be very cool if it turned out that the blood on the doors was always his. He could've possibly worked in that the person coming up the stairs was just future him and we'd see past him running away, and maybe even tie in the head that pops up in the top slats being future him. It would've been difficult to shoot, but doable with the help of a person holding the camera as "future guy" when we'd see him as "past guy."
