I would choose dodge among anything American, Chevy's are beautiful though

One of the most underrated cars in history. It must've just been bad timing when they brought it back in 2013. The world wasnt ready for it yet, especially since the C7 corvette was new at the time and less expensive off the lot. With cars like the Performante, ZR1 (and possibly the mid engine corvette on the rise), Ford GT, Dodge Demon/Hellcat and more, the Viper and Viper ACR would've fit in perfectly in todays market. Sad to see it go, and hoping for an epic return in the near future! Dream car for sure.

Well the latest ones had decent creature comforts. Proper leather interiors and Chrysler UConnect system (regarded as one of the best in the business) with everything including ABS/ESC and whatnot. Its no Benz but compare it to the C7 corvette, its not that lacking. Maybe the viper is a little more hardcore than your usual sports car I guess. You're definitely right about the lack of an auto for sure.

They never offered an RT version, which is 1/2 the sales volume, that is what really hurt the sales. They also never upgraded the horsepower to stay ahead of the pack, a huge mistake. Most people think they never invested the $$ to keep the car ahead of its nearest rivals.

It made almost 650hp which is as much as the Z06, and even base model Vipers had that power, which was faster than Corvettes of comparable pricing, so I don't know if not upgrading the horsepower was as big of a problem as the manual transmission and hand-built production.

I love the videos, and the quality keeps getting better. The only thing I would suggest adding with each evolution is the price. Maybe the sticker price as an adjusted for inflation price.

A truly strange and mystical car in my childhood. The only modern supercar with a front v10, Berlinetta bodystyling and American style engine sounds. Had a ride in one 9 years ago, 2 weeks before the owner and a Viper fatally crashed. The only time I ever sat in a sports car.

If I'm not mistaken the '92 model was actually marketed through Chrysler, not Dodge. My late grandfather had one and I'll always remember the Chrysler logo on the cassette player!

Actually, the Dodge Viper existed since 1989. It was a prototype at the time.

Iraq Iraqi and it wasn’t built by Dodge! The prototype was built by Chrysler/Plymouth. Then in 1993 about 13 prototypes were built to predict the GTS coupe. They were all sent to colleges as of 1993 for the auto shops on college campus. In 2016 Dodge issued a recall and all of them were destroyed. There are actual videos of them being crushed. So sad!!!

2013 version is where I really fell in love with the viper thank you Pennzoil videos

I think the stats bars would be much better done by morphing between the models than crank the bars down to zero then back up to the new numbers. That would make it easier to understand how much those stats changed between models and be consistent with the theme of morphing of the car outline.

I miss the Viper... It was one of those cars that didn't conform to norms. It was crazy. It was loud. It has a massive engine that didn't necessarily make more power than many modern counterparts and wasn't really efficient to boot. And yet, I love the absolute crap out of it...

Forgot the ACR-X trim from 2010 and the ACR Extreme Aero from 2016, but altogether a great homage.

Great video. But you missed the TA 2.0 Most people miss the 2.0 as it was only around a few weeks before the bigger and better ACR showed up. It was a TA but with a large rear wing

It was only sold for a few brief years here in the UK and didn't even have the Viper name or badges. It was simply called the SRT10.
