About the book
When construction project manager Chris Massey set off on a surprise trip to Egypt it seemed he was in for a relaxing time - a cruise down the Nile, a hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, sunbathing by the Red Sea and guided tours of the most spectacular ancient structures in the world...
But wherever he looked, he saw problems with the perceived wisdom on how the pyramids, temples and tombs of the pharaohs were built:
If limestone blocks were dragged up a mud brick ramp to be placed at the top of the Great Pyramid, where is the evidence of this huge ramp? How could materials such as wooden rollers and mud bricks take the strain put on them by tons of stone?
Thousands of men are supposed to have dragged the building blocks across the desert in the searing heat - how did the ancient project managers keep morale up amongst the dusty and tired workforce? Surely there must have been an easier way?
Massey looked around him and saw the greatest resource available to the Egyptians - the waters of the mighty Nile. This engaging account is the result of Massey's pool-side ponderings, in which he gives a detailed alternative theory of how the ancient Egyptians could have used water to their advantage to make pyramid building much easier.

One thing I learnt from this, is that Egyptians spoke English with a northern accent. Good video mate. Thanks.

Why is there no other project on the planet that was built using water locks and channels?

This series is really good, though there are some things in it that don't seem plausible, like the cedar logs because they'd be too expensive. Though the way of transport makes pretty good sense, I just think they would have used different materials for the rafts and water locks.

Okay, they have an incredible imagination to make a complex water flotation system, but they couldn't think of to use a cradle-like machine to rolling the stones (that had been excavated and found), building a spiral ramp with railing, put wheels on the wood sled, to use pack animals like bulls and camels. Sounds plausible.

2:10 I did not think about that argument against the inner ramp theory. Indeed they would have needed massive granite blocks to make the ramp safe. But there are heat scans that show these inner ramps are there. So what's holding the weight above the ramp ? Maybe they used a triangular shape to transfer the weight coming from above sideways. Greeks and Romans were masters are dealing with arches and the weight of the structure above.

Hey Chris! Love your theory! It is the most practical engineering design for pyramid building I have ever seen! I was hoping to get a hold of you and ask you more about your model design. Do you have a social media or email? I am working on a project that may just bring your theory more into the light and even revolutionize future engineering projects in the future ! ;) - Nik

I still think you have a good idea, (but applied to another issue that may be more necessary to solve today) To move tanks full of water with some air, to high altitudes like a mountain, and there to have a water reserve for different utilities... and there to have a water reserve for various utilities...

Its amazing to see people say that the theory of using water and channels is more complicated than the actual pyramids. Which makes me question, what about the theory about them using "Sound Technology". That is infinitely more difficult. What we all need to think of is, Occam's razor.
