@@baltazard133TI ran BlueStacks for the first two runs, but I did not like how it controlled in Windows vs the native android system. The GPS would always reset on tracking back to my location when scrolling between chat and maps where on an Android tablet it would lock the GPS to the car I was watching.

  • @baltazard133T

@@CannonballCC you just have to set the GPS program you are running in BlueStacks to always be on top and active so that it doesn't reset back to default. Also doesn't hurt to give it its own dedicated screen. I'm sure you know about the Android app police ems and fire scanner programs that you can download and listen to about 48 different states?

Hopefully, he gets to join in on any after-parties if he so wishes. Might be hard to get him there but one a few days after the event might be swingable. Dude: you did an awsome job. 3 tickets on your record is subreb in comparison to the ticket ratio before you took on this role. Hopefully the ticket clinic doesn't have your number. 😂

The trick to winning today is developing a drone swarm and algorithm that’s capable of calculating avoidance strategies for you constantly. A few vans could drive ahead and deposit drones along the route right before. They individually fly into a bit of brush then land and wait for their signal. The cannonball car comes and the drone launches and calculates the best way for you to go fast until it gets low on battery and the next drone takes over. Then it hides back in a bush until the van comes back.

You sir are literally a guardian Angel! Where do I sign up? I got my Uniden R7 running in every commute LOL. I think a decent unofficial or official Cannonball run is right up there with an achievement (I’m talking complexity and exclusivity) such as a K2 summit climb. Your success rate at guiding drivers is much much better than the death rate on K2. Sorry they’re just random comparisons, but both niches have people who are absolutely mental and that’s what I like!

Thats not how aircraft is done anymore for speeds (Thats how it was done all the way thru the 90's and early 00's)... In the past 5-10 years almost all departments have LIDAR fired from the Helicopter or Plane and they point the camera to each car and get a LIVE FEED of exact speed to the second and radio to police on ground to grab... The overlay on the aircraft doesnt just give you speed, but all road names, information about the car, direction of travel (incase the pilot is turned around from going in circles), speeds, elevation, even gives the mile markers on the road overlay, exit numbers on the overlay, and a ton more info.... It's insane...

Very cool and informative video. My two cents, hope this helps: In California vs Johnson 1972 approx. Police can not use a time over distance formula to issue a speeding violation. It’s known as a speed trap. If in CA you see an area marked for Patrolled by Aircraft, they are using visual estimation to issue you a citation. There’s too much case law and info to list here. All this varies from state to state. Godspeed. 😎

My understanding is that they can issue a citation using aircraft, but it gets thrown out if challenged in court. Doesn't really matter in a cannonball, as you've lost time being pulled over and issued that citation.
