Now I may be wrong but what if sites A on cold war nuketown was where the nuke did hit at the end of every match in the original and site B is actually the original site but after the shock wave has gone through. It's called retro-futurism. The whole Fallout series follows that kinda style, it's also the theme for The Jetsons and Futurama. It's a really cool art style, definitely one of my faves

Fun fact: there is some historical relevance to this: in the mid 1900s there were nuclear tests in the Nevada desert, one was exactly where the first nuke town took place, the nuclear test that left the crater at site A is called the Sedan crater, I don’t know much about the second one tho.

😂 it’s film grain, try changing your brightness, the 4K resolution makes things appear darker but more clearer if that make sense

My friend has a fear of mannequins, so one time I convinced him to help me do the weeping angles easter egg for Nuk3town. Obviously he was freaking out the entire match. Edit: People, it actually helped him get over his fears of mannequins. He was scared the first match but we played several more after, at his request.

Sympathy For The Devil was a song that played in a very popular boat sequence in Black Ops 1, as well as the credits. This is likely why they added it. The song Won't Back Down by Eminem and Pink was also a song in the credits, and so it was added to the zombies map Five.

3:07 “Sympathy For The Devil”, by The Rolling Stones, played because it was featured in the main campaign. Not sure the exact name of the mission but it’s the one where you’re driving the boat in Vietnam.

Nuketown 2025 parallels the 1962 Worlds fair that they built the Space Needle for. People thought the future would be like the jetsons. I love that ‘fuuuturue’ mixed with 1960’s themed

Nuketown 3 is my favorite as well. I started playing CoD black ops when some of my older cousins let my play black ops 3 and I loved the ending cutscene

I used to spend hours and hours every day on black ops 2 and I always wondered what the holes in the fences were for and thought they were spawns for K-9 units. I never once saw them used or heard anything about an rcxd track

In Black Ops 1, there was an Easter egg where you could get the Ray Gun in Multiplayer on Nuketown. But it only came with 20 bullets and you could pick up ammo for it if you had Scavenger equipped. From what I could remember, you could get it by jumping into the jeep on the side of the map, then holding square/X, and you could get it

I honestly agree with you liking nuk3town because it's the only nuke town map I got to play on. Since that was the only black ops game I played

In the Cold War Nuketown, the houses have graffiti of the old Activision arcade games, there's even arcade box consoles across the map and the endgame cutscene from a match where the nuke goes off, launching the arcade box console is also something you can see in the map

I’ve only ever played 3 and modern warfare but I love the 3D movement of 3. Just playing nuke town and pissing my friends off with my cross map hidden c4 explosions and one-shot shotgun.

It would been cool if the tiny nuke town sign in the 3rd one would also count the population as well

The reason symphony for the devil is playing is because it was in the campaign for bo1. In the bo1 nuketown, there is 2 references to zombies. A book that has Richtofens name on it, and a newspaper mentioning the russian sends monkeys to space and the monkeys turning to zombies. In bo2 nuketown, you can see small figures based on props in bo1 nuketown. Also, the dogtags in bo2 kill confirm says reznov on it

I've followed this easter egg from day one. It's nice to look back on all the years of black ops and how the devs tried to connect with the players.

6:33 theres also homage to og nuketown on the bo2 version of the map.

In black ops, Sympathy for the Devil plays because Treyarc already has the licensing for the song, it played during one of the campaign missions

The violence that started in the 60's and continued through the 70's made the message stand out so much clearer, leaving songs like "Gimmi Shelter", "Sympathy for the Devil", Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower", and more somber notes like The Animals "House of the Rising Sun", so much clearer both in the minds of the soldiers that came back from Vietnam, but also in the minds of the civilian population at the end of the war. Due to the original Black Ops being rather pointedly about the Vietnam War and the Cold War, it fits right in rather nicely I feel.

@l̼̓ you can do it in both but it’s way harder cuz if any of the heads are blown or shot off it starts the counter so you have to get into a game that just started and be quick

also, transit and nuketown are believed to be linked because you can hear the victis crew talking in the bunker as well as the bus. furthermore, in transit it has an EE for route A and B.... (Nuketown A and B???)

My favorite is nuke town 3 the colors and I love the wall drift to it. Best one🙂

In cold war when u trigger the easter egg there spawn several aim targets on the map i think there is more to find

On nuktown 84 there is not an Easter egg for shooting the arms off. It picks one of the themes (green or blue) randomly when you shoot all the heads. When you got the footage you just got lucky it showed the other color
