The Everly Brothers were the best duo singers,, musicians, and songwriters. Their music is part of a whole generation that will love their music forever. Don and Phil's life will live eternally in the hearts of their fans!

From the day i heard temptation i was hooked on these guys. Still am at age 71.

The county where they lived in Kentucky use to have an Everly Brothers week that ended in a concert by Phil and Don. Don owned a hotel and restaurant in the county for awhile. They had what we called family harmony. They were awesome Love and Peace

It's hard to believe they're both gone. When I discovered music, there they were. I still remember hearing Cathy's Clown the first time on the radio. It was great! They set the stage for all music to follow. Their voices were beautiful. What a blessing to be in the world the same time they were.

I think The Everly Brothers will always be the definition of harmony.

I loved the Everlys..I saw them in Scotland when I was 13 and I learnt to harmonise through Phil..I loved all their songs and know all their hits off by heart; My favourite is "Let It Be Me" and now "On The Wings of a Nightingale". I lost a lot of their career while I was growing up & have just recently re-discovered them and I can't stop watching their Reunion Concert every night !

They were so awesome & had wonderful voices i grew up listening to these brothers & still listen to them Today & still love them. They were so great. No one ever gave them credit n music theh really deserved. R.i.P Don & phil Everly. You will never be forgotten you music will live on forever. I have several favorites but I really love the song Bird Dog. I don't think they knew how much ppl loved them. My parents loved them & so do many others.

My favorite is Wake Up Susie. My name is Sue. They weren't of my era, my older sister's time but I recognized their special music. I Love their harmonies.

My parents loved the Everly Brothers. Consequently, I recall growing up in the 70s and (early) 80s with the sound of their music filling our home regularly. My favourite song from the duo is "All I Have To Do Is Dream".

I loved their songs, I had no idea of their troubles.

I had three dreams in my life ,one was to go to Egypt walk in the valley of the king's when all the tourists have gone , this I did,the 2nd was to see the Everly brothers, I did this in Birmingham England in the early nineties,I was at the front and their pure talent ,pure voice quality ,took my breath away,my last to find lasting love,hey two out of three isn't bad is it!!!!!🤗🇬🇧

I saw them perform in a pretty small venue during their 1983 come back tour. They were absolutely great. Their voices were even better with age. I still have that record in vinyl and treasure it.

Did you know the guitarist on stage to their right ( a good friend of theirs ) was largely responsible for getting them back together for that 83 Albert Hall gig . His name is Albert Lee.

I grew up listening to the Everly Brothers and as a US Marine myself I was very proud of them becoming US Marines I think you should’ve mentioned that in this short documentary

Yes..Phil mentioned his uncle's Marine Corps service, and how that fact decided them to serve with the Marines when that time came along.

My husband and I had the opportunity to see the Everly Brothers in concert three times in the 1980s: once in Tennessee and twice in Georgia. Excellent shows each time; harmonies as beautiful as ever. I miss them.

I love their songs.

Somewhere around 1960, give or take, I was about 5 years old and would sing dream, dream, dream all the time.

Loved All I Have to Dream”. My favorite song from the brothers.

My favorite Everly song is Let it be Me. My second favorite is Phil's solo version of The Air That I Breathe.

My favorite? Adding lyrics to a French Song which became Let It Be Me. What a unique and beautiful love song!

I love their music, and wish I had gone to a concert of theirs, but that was not to be. Amusing that Bye Bye Love didn't do well in the day. Yet we hear it on radio, movies etc. We should give gratitude to Roy Schrider in the movie based on that very particular song and again it was popular again. To me all their songs have a place in our hearts and some because we can resonate with them. I didn't know both had passed away. I do remember hearing one brother. RIP Don and Phil, your music still lives on now and forever.

WHAT? IT'S EVEN MENTIONED HERE THAT "BYE BYE LOVE" SOARED TO THE TOP OF BOTH THE POP AND COUNTRY CHARTS, YET YOU WROTE THAT IT DIDN'T DO WELL. ???????????????😫

I was in the US Army from 1965-1967, stationed in France and Germany. I was a HUGE Everly Brothers fan and had a couple of their music on 4-track tapes (forerunner to the 8-tracks). I played them over and over for all those years; almost made my buddies crazy. Their music still sounds great today. What a loss.

I remember listening to my radio when I was just 9 years old, that was 1958, they were then my favorite. I've had many favorites since but just today, I keyed in "The Everly Brothers", and wound up here remembering all their great songs. Don & Phil did a great job of keeping their problems hidden, I never knew they had them until today. I just wanted to share that with everyone. Thanks for sharing all these wonderful memories with all of us.

Let it be me!!! Yet, there is none that does not generate nostalgia from my early years in the 1950s! Thanks for sharing!

My late grandfather love this band and the one song that i favorite most "All I Have To Do Is Dream"

My friend and I actually went to see the Everlys in Exeter UK, however it ended up just being Phil as Don had gone home. Phil was still brilliant though and a band member sang with him on some of the songs 🎵

Very courageous for Phil to continue without Don. Ive read he did brilliantly but some fans disappointed that it wasn't the Everly sound and that they asked for their money back

I remember noticing the song "Bye Bye Love" at a street dance. Ever since then, as a guitarist, I lived and breathed Everly Brothers. The Cadence years are my favorite (the years of innocence).

As a kid in the 50s about 11 when they came to us Brits 1957 I seem to remember Probably Bird Dog.Yes a major part of mi Life’s Soundtrack.From being born the first 30 years covers all the greats as can be.

MY SIS-AND I WERE IN AN ORPHANAGE--AND THE NUNS MADE US SING TO THE OTHER KIDS-WE WERE VERY GOOD--AT HARMONY--THE NUNS FROM THE BOYS SIDE WOULD COME OVER TO HEAR US SING--WE KNEW SOME OF THEIR SONGS-EVERY BODY LISTENED--AND LOVED US---WISH WE COULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN-I JUST LOVE THE EVERLY BROTHERS--GREAT MEMORIES--

Chet was playing Mr Sandman which was a hit for him. mid 1950's and also recorded by the Chordettes. Phil's first wife was the daughter of one of the Chordettes

My grandparents and parents would play them as a young child. And I hope it's something I can pass down. Some of the best songs and memories I have. By far my favorite is crying in the rain.

Crying in th Rain was written by Carol King , released early '62 when they were allegedly under a legal ban from Acuff-Rose. regards recording their own songs.- pleas check this out.

I love The Everly Brothers!

I loved the Everly brothers. I knew at one time they broke up, but I didn't know all these other events. I loved watching them with their dad. It's sad to know they're gone, but they will live in the music world forever. We will all go looking to hear their songs on KZread. I love KZread.

Thanks for sharing!! This Kentucky gal has been an Everly Brothers fan since I was 8 years old in 1957 when I first heard Bye, Bye Love and then saw them on TV singing it. I was smitten with an 18 year old Phil!!

The loss of these rwo guys is bigger than any of us could ever know. What a great time to be alive with all their music around us giving us lasting memories, affecting so many other great artist including the Beatles. It is so sad to slowly watch the greats leave this world leaving a void in the music industry. I thank them all for sharing themself with us for a short time thru the greatest years of MY life.

My favorite Everly Brother's song is LET IT BE ME. My second fave, DEVOTED TO YOU. Their music was fun and romantic. That was important to girls who lived through the fifties.

Perfect sibling tonal harmony. Real heartthrobs also! I must have played and sung their songs a zillion times Their harmony was such an influence to me as a very young girl when I was writing and singing my songs as Judi and the affections. It was wonderful that they reunited in future years and had a spiritual connection.

'Temptation' was my teenage dream. I used to listen under my bedcovers on radio Luxembourg. I loved them so much and do to this day. I saw them in Toronto when I came to Canada.

"All I Have to Do Is Dream" Dream, Dream, Dream. at five years old I used to put my ear to the old stereo and sing along to an old 45 record. A small recording artist at our home one night stated..."that boy is going to be a singer one day". He used to take me to auditions when I was a kid. I started when I was 15 and ask to be in a local dance band to sing lead. I did that until I joined the military and of course, Vietnam was my tour. I had married had two kids and when the renewed band was getting back together they ask me to try out to sing lead again. They accepted me but it was going to interfere with taking care of my family so I broken heartily told them I could not. I felt my life would never be happy, but I turned my life over to God and started singing lead in our choir then special songs. I was rejuvenated as it may not be rock, but I was fulfilling the heart's desire to sing. I have traveled all over the country singing along with my ministry. I picked up the piano from a teacher who used to fill in occasionally for Ricky Nelson before his demise in the plane crash. I just turned 70, retired from pastoral work (I played keyboard and sang every service and continued to be asked to go minister and sing). Now after many have asked, I'm getting ready to cut my first project which I refused for all those years (47). It all started when I fell in love with "Dream Dream Dream" by the Everly Brothers. It will be dear to my heart until I pass from this life. I've never told this to anyone before, but this video opened up so many memories that brought tears to this old man's eyes.

I truly miss these guys....They died and so did the music of that era. The Vibe Died........

Me and filippino friend were singing EB music at the mall , we had people asking for the CD they heard , they were told it was us . The harmony , words and perfect music from a WOW karaoke .

Love, love all of their songs. Don and phil were gifted and special we all missed them. I have not listen to their music in a long while but some unknown reason i deceided to play their music and watched some of their TV specials today 11/26/23. Don and Phil will always be remember for their talents.

One of my favorites is Devoted to You

I was a kid with a new boom box and we had HBO (but no phone for some reason) and I recorded some of their songs from the reunion concert on a blank tape I used for various songs (also had songs from Grease and even Tom and Jerry lol) and I really liked their music. I didn’t know anything about their problems prior to that until now.

"walk right back" written by Sonny Curtis of the Crickets... I still play it on guitar every chance I get 🙂

Their music will live on - they are unforgettable legends.❤

When I was about 12 my Dad gave me some lp's. My favorites of them were Donovan, kingston trio and (you guessed it) the Everly brothers. My favorite is all I have to do is dream

They were one of my favorites since I was a little kid in the 1950’s on. My favorite song by them is “Ebony Eyes”.

I was a little kid growing up in the 50's ( in Melbourne, Australia ) also Diane and Ebony Eyes is my favourite song of theirs too. A classic written by John D. Loudermilk.

Their mother Margaret lived to the age of 102! She died 6 months after putting Don in the ground in 2021. It's impossible to pick a favorite recording, but among them are DON'T BLAME ME, TORTURE, IT'S MY TIME, LONELY ISLAND, LOVE OF MY LIFE, TEMPTATION, JEZEBEL, THE FERRIS WHEEL, EBONY EYES, MUSKRAT, LOVE HURTS, LOVE OF THE COMMON PEOPLE AND ALWAYS IT'S YOU.
