    Tina Li Interesting, as you’ve been speaking on capitalism. What country you belong to? As it’s a taboo now to speak for capitalism.

    @@gauravagrawal4564 I'm not so sure since it's been so long thinking back to when I did the presentation, but Adam Smith does have a lot to do with capitalism vs socialism, he introduced new ideas to help the market at the time, and I'm pretty sure you can find details of Smith on Google :)

    Tina Li I’m well aware of these things. Purpose behind asking this is communist/socialist governments are banning capitalism. In fact the books and even the people.

    All engineers(except Civil) in our university are required to take 2 complementary electives(courses not in engineering). I chose Econ 101(micro-economics) & Econ 102(macro-economics). I got an A- in Econ 101. I'll be taking Econ 102 this spring/summer.

    Monopolies can't form in a free market, because whenever a business man gets cocky another business man competes against him with a better and/or cheaper product, every monopoly we've seen in our modern market is a result of less freedom to compete not more, just look at patent laws and heavy regulations, i mean the government voluntarily gives corporations 2p year monopolies with nothing in return and you blame capitalism for it?

  • @boredaf5782

    @boredaf5782

    @@PastStory actually no, the only reason monopolies happen is because business men lobby the government to get rid of their competition for them, in other words its the corrupt government who has too much power, if the market were more free it would only he logical that we'd have more competition not less, just look leader boards in video games for example, the top players loose their place constantly they don't just get to keep it forever
