Dexter’s Lab is the reason many students along with myself used to study, get good grades and become interested in science. It’s in fact in this show that I first got the reference of Einstein. He was never portrayed as the nerd kid in school who nobody talked to and that in itself is a good thing which prevented such behaviour in our school unlike Boy meets world and TBBT. In fact in one episode dexter has to play basketball and he makes himself a robot to aid in his height. His inventions made us marvel at him.

So please tell me what you think :) revista--comics-blogspot-com.translate.goog/2023/05/redesign-evolution-dexters-laboratory.html?_x_tr_sl=ro&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=ro&_x_tr_pto=wapp (the article was originally written in Romanian, but I think google translate did a pretty decent job in translating it)

Not completely, there were still a few good ones like Ed, Edd 'n Eddy, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and if it was your thing, Invader Zim... Adventure TIme... Chowder... while they weren't the exact same style as Dexter's Laboratory, they definitely had a " through thread " that they at least mostly kept to unlike most cartoons that'll start a plot - then abandon it because " Yeah that's hard. " or " Kids are too stupid to follow this plot. " - even though they'd been following it fine and that's usually just an excuse for " I just didn't know how to end it in two more seasons. "

"Dee Dee" literally means "Elder sister" in my mother tongue Hindi. So that isn't too far from Mom & Dad. When I used to watch Hindi dubbed version of it, as a child, I genuinelly thought they had dubbed it as DeeDee. Later ofund out, that it was the original name.

Im 33 now, and when I started watching this, it was around time Austin Powers came out and it was such a great time for this 'free'/new form of comedy, maybe, I might say. As a kid all these "details, logic" dont matter amd the satire, was real fun. Thanks to those who worked and created Dexter and for this video !

Monkey was the OG Perry the Platypus of modern cartoons, and yet I've never heard Agent Honeydew as referred to as his girlfriend. But then I remember episodes where they literally have a romantic dinner and dessert at her house and realize she's got a thing for monkeys apparently. 🐒

idk how it's been outside India but here Cartoon Network aired these shows in no fucking proper order and sometimes even stopped airing them so abruptly, I'm just using these videos to finish the shows I loved back then.

One of my favorite episodes is where Dexter has to take gym. He further has to play dogeball. Then, he makes a robot to shoot dogeballs out, but DeeDee tags him out with a ball at the end of the episode.

Furthermore, the last episode for me is when Dexter visits his Grand father who keeps calling him "Billy." The grandfather is then going to show him a science project. But it is a "marble machine" that Dexter gives up on midway though, and it turns out the Grandfather discovered cold fusion, then states "I guess Dexter doesn't like science."
