    I think you completely misunderstood the white stag part in the show. Viserys was visibly relieved that he didn't come across the white stag on Aegon's birthday, because then people would take that to be a sign that Aegon should be Viserys's true heir. However, if Rhaenyra had allowed Criston to kill the stag and if they brought it back with them to the camp, then it would have legitimised her in the eyes of those present. Rhaenyra instead chose to keep that sign for herself and also honor the mythical beast's life by not killing it for show. Instead she took back the boar that had attacked her and that she had killed. That was more significant because earlier in the episode she said how much she hates hunting because the sound of a dying boar is reminiscent of a baby. Her violently killing the boar was her taking her frustration out due to Aegon's existence and everything as a consequence of his birth. It also showed that she isn't above getting her hands bloodied if push comes to shove.

    The way I understood it, not seeing the white stag helped him confirm Rhaenyra as heir, and not deny her her birth right. Yes the king was having doubts about naming her heir because of the prophecy and the dreams he was having ( we can see that in his conversation with Alicent by the huge fire ). But The hunt was for prince Aegon’s second name day, and Otto Hightower pointed out that seeing the stag was a good omen for prince Aegon ( obviously trying to sweet talk Viserys into naming him heir ). I believe that if he had captured and killed the white stag on that day, he would’ve named Aegon as his heir. Fortunately or unfortunately ( depending on where your allegiances ) that didn’t happen. And he was finally firm and unyielding in naming his daughter as his successor. The other thing I think this episode is trying to convey is that King Viserys was soft and indecisive even after naming Rhaenyra as his heir. Had he been more solid in his support for Rhaenyra in the two years following her half brother’s birth, the other lords wouldn’t dare expect her to be set aside for the male heir.

    First they don't want the crown, then do. Insanity to pick a ruler by nepotism and then not putting the best in family as the ruler. No one cared about the people. Just themselves. I really really hope these "elites/rich/oligarchy/celebrity/ politician/big business/technocrats" are really this miserable.

    They did Team Black SO dirty this season. 🙄🕳 What is up w/them having Daemon kill his 1st wife?? They also cut out all footage of him being a loving father as well. And he damn sure doesn't choke out Rhaenyra either. He never touches her in any sort of way other than completely loving. It's like they purposefully wanted to make the audience mistrust & hate the man. Yes Daemon is a morally gray character - even in the novel. But the show tried to make him downright irredeemable, which really irritated me. And that wouldn't be so bad, if they didn't also give passes to the Team Green characters, at the same time! Like having Alicent be portrayed practically "innocent", and as somebody who just "misunderstood" what Vicerys' wishes were... instead of the cold, calculating, vindictive & ruthless woman she is in the source material. But the final straw was when they showed Aemond killing Lucerys "on accident". 🥴😡 WTF?! The dude is a total psychopath in the book, who not only kills Luc intentionally... he then goes back home & BRAGS about it ffs. Even Alicent & Otto are horrified. Aegon is the only one who is happy about it... because he's equally as psycho as Aemond is. THIS IS WHO TEAM GREEN IS. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄 lol A bunch of overly-ambitious, cutthroat, oathbreaking, kinslaying, drunk, r*pey, distrubed psychos! Obviously, the writers didn't want people seeing that. I don't mind it when changes get made here & there, when something is being adapted for television. I understand that certain aspects of the story might have to get streamlined, in order to fit everything into a certain number of episodes, etc. But when the writers start changing up character's personalities, motivations or actions... well, now they're just writing their own fan fiction, instead of properly adapting something. 😒 SMH Rhaenys *does* indeed escape from the Dragon Pit in the novel.... but in the show they have her bursting up through the floor making a huge spectacle, and probably killing like 100 peasants in the process. Making Team Black look even worse. AGAIN. I like the show. I really do. I'd still give it an 8/10. It's got a high production value, great costuming & superb acting. But I HAVE to knock it down a couple points for the extreme bias they showed to certain characters.... and for their lack of honesty when handling others. It really doesn't bode well for the seasons left to come.

    Raeneyra didn't lie to Alicent! She said she didn't have sex with Daemon and she didn't! Alicent was mad because she had to sleep with the crypt keeper and Raeneyra slept with whomever she wanted with a mutual agreement with Laenar however that was dumb to try to act like those boys was Valarian! If Vasarys would've made Daemon his hand and if Raenyra hadn't ran off to Dragonstone trying to hide from the truth of her kids father they wouldn't have been usurped and the king not being slowly poisoned! @@tonnettegrayson1657 It may have been different. However firstly she was chosen as heir by the council specifically to keep daemon away, her marrying daemon would have antagonized a lot more ppl. She also kind of did it without her Dad's permission. So not sure if she could have been with Daemon if she stayed at the capital. Her sons were not really the issue. Her gender is. Otto was scheming long before any action from rheneyra. Personally her defying otto and confronting daemon in episode 2 made her enemy number one in Otto's eyes He thought she was weak woman he could command like his daughter. Moment she showed her independence it forced him to move his plans forward . She was never safe in the capital. There were way too many enemies and supporters of Hightower's. Short of assassinating the Hightower's preemptively like Cersei would have or otto tried to do in episode 9 war was inevitable.

    Outstanding video. You saving lives with all this extra time I save. I'm still kind of not understanding the husband of the king's sister. That was insane and big picture dumb. Seems the Black characters are tokens once again. I remember how excited my "community" was about his role. And when interviewed he explained in detail about the racism he endured. All that build up to be "Bean-ed". We can't win for losing. We're either invisible, background or disposable. Then who he was married to?! You really picked a Demon over peace, and family "legacy". "Programming". She should of killed him and his mother together. Then there would be no "mother losing a child". What an awful Queen she would of made.

    It's curious how the writers twisted the way the main characters faced the events leading to the war with respect to the book. Right after King Viserys death we see a group of conspiratorial men setting in motion a pre-planned take over, which of course Queen Alicent wasn't aware of, and which she goes along with only because she misunderstood her husband's last words. But she's the wise and balanced kind of person that will strongly oppose to this bloodthirsty group of men planning to kill all their rivals. On the other side, once the blk team learns the news, we see a group of unwise, reckless, warmongering men planning to go to war without any workable plan, while Princess Rhaenyra is the only prudent, wise and thinking person putting some common sense there. None of these approaches, portraits and characterizations reflect the books, and needless to say that Daemon getting physical with Rhaenyra is also way out of character according to the books.

Takes a very long time for me to watch a program. I'm super weird. Do you think making the guy with the patch remorseful is a good rewrite? From what I've seen just from this video they should of kept it remorseless. This family's weakness has always been their emotional regulation. But who really suffers because of it? Not them. THANK YOU 🙄💯 They did Team Black SO dirty in the show! What was up w/them having Daemon kill his 1st wife?? In the novel, Daemon was still fighting out at the Stepstones when she falls off her horse! It really IS just an accident. But the show has him appear out of nowhere in the Vale, and kill her, w/out any repercussions?! Not to mention they cut out ALL footage of Daemon being a loving father to his children.... and then added IN dialogue that made it sound like he ignored the one daughter who doesn't have a dragon yet! AND they have him choke out Rhaenyra too?! WTF was the objective in doing all that, if not to make Daemon look even worse to their non-book savvy audience?! And it didn't help that they were giving passes to people like Alicent (showing her "misunderstanding" what Vicery's intentions were), or Aemond, killing Lucerys "on accident". It's rubbish, and I really didn't appreciate it. Daemon was already a morally gray character. They DIDN'T NEED to throw further dirt onto his name like that. But if they're going to do it... Then they at least should have been *HONEST* about what the Team Green characters are actually like. That was bullsh*t having Aemond kill Luc just cuz his dragon misbehaved. Vaghar is a veteran of over 100 battles, and used to be the mount of Queen Visenya Targaryan. Vaghar is the oldest & most well trained dragon out of all of them, and has NEVER been known to disobey her rider. Ever. I don't mind them making SOME changes to the story... but these changes were ridiculous & unecesary. They were done only to gaslight Team Black fans & skew the audience's opinion in a negative way. I still enjoyed the show, but I was thoroughly disappointed w/how they treated some of the characters that we love. If they keep doing this sort of thing, it's going to dampen my affection for the show, and make me not want to see anymore Ice & Fire content brought to screen. We already went through so much w/Game of Thrones....

    Actually- ur very wrong. This is why HOD sucks. Bc of the lack of character building and explanation except the “in ur face ones.” Anyone who says he wasn’t fit to be a king hasn’t actually provided real reasons as to why. He was not only a GREAT KING but he had one of the longest, prosperous and peaceful reigns. On the show and in the books u see no wars during his time. The show made him to be a pushover but while he preferred peace over violence- in the books, he could be harsh. If being a good king is killing people vs forgiving then that’s a tyrant. He was loved by the wealthy and small folk. How is that not a good king? How was he not made to be a leader? Just bc of what happened AFTER he died? That wasn’t his doing. He named his heir. He was extremely consistent about this his whole life and reign and cut out many tongues for even speculation of Ranys kids. Also, this is why the woke stuff sucks and made this season ridiculous. His mother and Ranys grandmother Alyssa had dark hair and mix matched eyes-purple & green so in the books, while ppl can speculate whether Ranys kids are bastards, they can’t prove it but the show made it so apparent that they made the King look stupid. Also, its like saying someone wasn’t a good ruler bc his children fought after his death. This makes no sense.

  • @KabbalahSherry

    @KabbalahSherry

    Жыл бұрын

    What "woke" stuff?? 🙄 Are you serious??! The show mostly still follows the source material. The subject of Rhaenyra's kids is STILL dragged up by Alicent & her brats regardless.... so who gives AF what color the Valaryons are?! How does that change the story one f*cking bit?! Vicerys knows deep down - he's not stupid. But he has allowed those boys to be legitimized as Valaryons. So the matter is settled according to Westerosi law. That's it. Everybody (not just Vicerys) KNOWS that Rhae's kids aren't Laenor's... and it would have been like that, even if the cast had been all white. The Greens simply use it as an excuse to shame Rhaenyra for, since they cant do anything else about it otherwise. (Other than try to steal what doesn't belong to them, that is.) Besides, the actors who played the Valaryons knocked it outta the park. Especially Steve Toussaint, who plays Corlys. The man literally embodies the role. So again... WHO CARES what color the Valaryons are, except for the people who still think like you do?? Jesus Christ this sh*t is so annoying. Ya'll only ever call sh*t "woke" when you see People of Color in something, or too many gay characters, or god forbid a Woman in Power. It's the only time ya'll start to whine. Cuz it's kinda funny how you lot never complain about anything ELSE ever being "too woke". 🤔 Gee, it's almost like you know you'd get raked over the coals for having racist, homophobic or misogynistic views... so you call it "woke" instead, so that nobody will give you a hard time about your bullsh*t crying over it. The mere presence of a Person of Color in a prominent role, doesn't mean there's some "agenda" going on ffs. In fact, for the longest time, there really *was* an agenda to keep more marginalized groups out of our cinema, or, out of important roles. For about the first 120 years of cinema it was like this, in fact. But you lot weren't whining & crying about "race swapping" when you saw people like Moses, Noah, Jesus, Cleopatra, Ghengis Khan, Pocahontas, or the entire Egyptian pantheon, being portrayed by white people, were you?? But NOW suddenly it's an issue?? 🥴🤡 lmao This is why nobody takes you clowns seriously whenever you b*tch about something being "woke" anymore. Cuz we all know what you're REALLY mad about... But you're just gonna have to die mad 'bout it. I actually thought you were gonna bring up the IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE STORY: Like how they made Alicent a lot more innocent, and turned her into somebody who just "misunderstood" Vicerys, instead of the mean spirited, vindictive, self righteous & cruel woman she is in the novel. Or b*tch about how they showed Aemond killing Lucerys "on accident" cuz his dragon misbehaved.... instead of showing him as the psychopath he really is. A kin-slayer, who kills his nephew on purpose & then goes home, and BRAGS about it. Or how they threw dirt on Daemon's name, by showing him killing his 1st wife, or cutting footage of him being a loving father to his children, or showing him choking Rhaenyra out... instead of just leaving him as the morally gray character that we know. THIS, is the meat & potaoes of story telling. So when they f*ck THIS stuff up... then its a problem. I really thought you might address some of this but no.... Just more racist bullsh*t cuz you people are upset that you're seeing too many black & brown faces on your tvs screens these days, and you don't like that. 😅 Pathetic lol
