Nixon was last vice president in 1961. Five takes place during 1963. Nixon at that time was a presidential candidate. Hence why Castro remarks about Nixon in the opening cutscene, "And why is he here? He LOST!". He is alluding to Nixon's loss to JFK in the 1960 U.S. Presidential election.

Beside Shangri-La, Five was the hardest map in Black Op 1 zombies. I always liked playing as Fidel Castro in five since he says something funny to zombies in Spanish. All these historical leaders are so iconic in five and that was awesome to play for.

@@GrassChild The red phones are most likely a reference to an actual line of communication (dubbed the “red telephone”) that was implemented after the Cuban Missile Crises so that the US and Russian leaders can have a direct line of communication in case situation of similar scale arises.

man everything about black ops 1 was just perfect ranging from the dlcs to the free maps even the voice actors were a massive talent i love this game

My head-canon of what happened after the broken FIVE: Jfk, Nixon, Fidel, And Macnamera all survive and end up fighting zombies in the background whenever our player is around, they fight near us but they leave right before we get there.

Five is my favorite zombies map of all time, I wish we could've gotten more out of the five crew.

You mean what bo4 did?bo3 wasn’t an ending it was just showing us the current cycle and what we’ve already done so it was never an ending.Bo4 was the alternative where the cycle started breaking.it’s pretty straight forward if you only look at the story from origins and on

just so you can skip the vid, the 5 crew survive the zombies (they disappear after you beat ascension I believe and they all go on to live long fulfilling lives (at least not jfk)

One thing I don’t get is, by BO3, Sam became good from the events after the cannon Buried Easter egg. So why is she still evil in the BO4 Primis/Ultimus storyline? Is it just past versions of Samantha? Or does she become bad from time to time? Im leaning towards the latter of my decisions since I thought if you were in control of the dark aether, you were in every possible universe at once.

Yeah just the timeline that they happen to be in. Origin's Samantha is a different timeline/dimension from Ultimis. Seeing as the crew met WAY earlier than their original counter parts. So the same during bo4's Classified is still the Sam from WAW - Bo1. I'm 99% sure that Orgin's Sam lives in the house with Eddie and Monty by this point.

And I’m pretty sure she jumped timeline’s because she didn’t like how her father turned out by the Buried Easter egg. Which is what caused Ultimis Rictofen to become catatonic when arriving back to Groom Lake in the 60’s instead of the future.

Minor correction: Richard Nixon was only a FORMER Vice president at the time 5 must take place. He’s present in the room because he was JFK’s opponent in the 1960 election. Hence Castro’s confusion regarding his presence. And Kennedy’s “Forgive your enemies, but remember their name.” Line.
