So basically, the part where Bayonetta 1 appears actually confirms the theory that this Bayonetta in this 3rd game is actually the little child cereza in the first game which actually confuses a lot of people but for me, I understand it clearly. And also, this just shows that majority of rakun's theories are correct.

I wish they kept the UI and Madama changes to the unlockable Bayonetta 1 costume tbh, it was so cool, i wish they did the same for the Bayonetta 2 costume as well

@@MemeinAndDreamin This whole game is full of missed opportunities, they should've kept the UI and Madama changes for the actual costumes as well, and actually make them dissapear like before when she does a wicked weave and have her get long hair when performing demon slave, now they behave like early Bayonetta 1 mods without any of those things and it's so sad

@@AlmondMilkLake Not too mention the whole game we couldn’t even mix are weapons up on our hands and feet if we really talking about missed opportunities….That’s literally Bayonetta’s thing and they got rid of it and gave us weird humanoid demon forms when we run around with our weapons

And honestly? Idk how to feel about viola being the new protagonist….and that Bayo like DIED or rather wanders through inferno now and like nobody cared about Jeanne’s death? Like perma death. I hope with all my heart that in Bayo 4 viola safes her parents and we can play as bayo again😭

Bayo 1 is probably from Bloody Fate, and Bayo 2 is probably 'our' Bayonetta from the first two games. Love is Blue and the bios hint hard at that, and Bayo 1 implying that Bayo 3 is little Cereza helps signify that we don't play as 'our' Bayonetta.

If you finished the game, go to the character archive and both Bayonetta’s will pop up under the names Bayonetta 1 and 2

@@FagatronUchiha So what? They're just names. Just like how the other Bayonettas are called Bayonetta B1, B2, etc.

I think this ending is open to interpretation, and from what it was shown this is what I got from it. all universe were destroyed by sigurd, the ones we saw in game were the only ones left But this story is still inconsequential to the events of bayo 1 and 2, since after Sigurd was defeated in the alphaverse all the worlds including the people were restored In the beginning of the game new york was completely destroyed and flooded, there's no way a normal hunan being could've survived that, but as it was shown everything is just undone by the end, even enzo's family who died during the prologue revived along with the rest of the people. I assume all the bayonettas including the real one from bayo 1 and 2 went back to their own restored worlds aswell, except for Cereza and her luka who died for sure after sigurd's defeat and were taken to Inferno. And yeah... this "bayo" is definitely a grown up version of little cereza.

@@jonj7158 don't get me wrong, the writting was trash, my interpretation for bayo 3 is that the story didn't affect in the least to the events of de Bayo 1 and 2, and that's the only thing I care about. The first two games had a conveluded story, but at the end of the day the story and characterization of said character made sense, here absolutely nothing made sense, and I wasn't a fan of this Cereza at all, she's nowhere near as charismatic, caring and loveable as the original and only Bayonetta. Also I couldn't care less about ships, but here cereza's relationship with luka came out of nowhere, there was no build up to anything. I also I couldn't cares less about the death of this jeanne and the rest of this cast at all, since these are not the characters I know and love, just variants of this universe I don't really know at all.

@@anintruder9512 but they got separated after that, and disappeared like the other bayonettas, they probably returned to their own worlds and only appeared to assist cereza... But bayo 1 and 2 are supposed to be the same person, and I doubt the original bayo would still be wearing the same outfit of the second game, but again, that has more to do with the writting than anything, there are things that just don't make sense in this story.

The way her and Luka were gently lowered into hell is very suggestive in that it seems they may be protected. When Jeanne died, she was literally dragged to hell and Bayo was about to be as well, until Luka saved her. I’m thinking this will play a role in future games.

I beat Bayonetta 3 an hour ago and just caught up on your vids. Wanted to say thank you so much for all that you've done in the community. Bayonetta 3's release was awesome for me because of you. Truthfully, this ending was hard to accept at first--still is--especially with the implications of a hereafter without her. I kept thinking (or hoping) they'd pull a 'Gotcha' somewhere at the end, but it seems to truly be how it really is for this story. But you know what? I think I'm okay with it. The finale overall was done in a really good and hype way, I feel. The ending may cause a lot of mixed feelings, but the brilliant moments that led to the very end? They were great. The series may have it's flaws, but one thing Bayonetta knows how to do is always go out with a bang. It really made the game for me. And I'm glad it did for you too, Rakunx. Don't worry, bud. Whatever comes next for this series, as long as Bayo lives on in our hearts, she'll never truly be gone.

Honestly? Viola is not Bayonetta. She never will be. There is only ONE Bayonetta and I hate that this is how they ended the game. I waited years for this, and to say that it hurts that this is what they did to the character is an understatement. Viola was my least favourite thing about this game. I'm kinda wishing they didn't add her into the game...

You don't have to take it so seriously. I understand that you don't see Viola as a bayonetta, I doubt that many in the fandom see her that way, but here's the thing, Kamiya confirmed that Cherry will return in future installments, will you be the same one who came to die here? It is not known, but this is a multiverse, and Viola is currently the bayonetta of that universe in which it is, I mean, think about it like this, the Egyptian Bayonetta or the French bayonetta, do you see them as a bayonetta? because I don't, for me they are similar recolors of the main bayonetta with another weapon and another demon, but that does not mean that in history they are bayonetta. In future games we will see cherry, it is not known if the same as lurio perp esp does not really matter much, because in this game it was confirmed that the Bayonetta of the 2 previous games were different, not the same, and obviously not the one of this game Is it the same as the other 2, I mean, we were already used to using different versions of it, even without knowing it, and considering them essentially the same, because they are, or did you not have that feeling when you played with the Japanese bay? because I felt that I was literally playing with the usual bay, only with another skin, that's exactly the point, if they bring us another cherry, with her always arrogant, flirtatious and charismatic personality, her long black hair and pistols as the main weapon, and with that we have because in this game we realized that the player from the beginning is linked and adapted to bayonetta as a concept when playing, in this game it was shown that bayonetta is not the character if not her traits and her characteristics, traits and characteristics that Viola does not have, but you just have to think of her as one more bayonetta in an infinite multiverse full of them and that soon in a future installment, we will have the opportunity to handle another one that is more similar to the first 3 that captivated us at first

It seems the on going theory of what happened here is that since this is a different Bayonetta than one and two, the events of Bayo 1 and 2 happened differently in this in this universe, which explains some of the inconsistencies the cast in this game have with that of the previous games. Bayo 1 and Bayo 2 are incarnations that had their stories take the paths close to the events of the last two games, so effectively, Platinum games has an out. If Viola doesn't pan out as a main character, they still have the previous game's Cereza in existence to use as the future of the series. Also for those who didn't catch it, the bio for Dark Eve actually states she's Alphaverse Cereza, as well as a mix of dark emotions and regrets from the fallen Cereza's from the other universes...which included Viola's mother. She moves around the multiverse swinging at anything that moves supposedly, which explains where the Kraken in the beginning of the game came from, slight ass pull but it's fine, also reveals another weapon. She shows herself to Viola to give her one final lesson as a witch, which is nice for Viola's closure. Overall the game feels like the finale of a series, had a bunch of call backs and references to the previous games and I was nice seeing all of that, but yeah the lead up for the next game was kind of poor.

Bingo or they could just soft reboot the series with another Bayonetta from another universe. PG have a few outs now that the Multiverse is a thing and they can start fresh if Viola isn't well received.

The fact that this game did have weapon mixing like the last two games was a letdown to me. Dashing around as the butterfly was just fine we didn’t need weird humanoid versions for every weapon it seems like thats all they focused was just the demons in this game which was a cool feature with demon slave, but not being able to assign the weapons to different limbs was a letdown especially with it being Bayonetta’s thing that made her so unique to play since the first game

It broke my heart they killed her off. Im hoping that Viola can go to the gates of hell and bring her soul back but I know that cant happen like it did in Bayo 2 :'(

I see what PG did. If Viola doesn't work out, PG has an out and can do a soft reboot by starting over with another Bayonetta from a different universe now that the Multiverse is a thing now. It may even be better gameplay and creative wise because this different Bayonetta may fight differently and not use guns. The possibilites are endless now.

Actually... Is it me? Or this ending is so similar to DMC 5? Nero is Vergil's son and Dante is his uncle. Viola is Cereza and Luka's daughter. Both Dante and Vergil are in hell. Also Cereza and Luka are in hell. Nero is now new Demon hunter and Viola is now new Bayonetta (sorry for my english)

The ending of this game is so beautiful, I don't know how they're gonna follow up on this one. I have to say this is the most emotionally attached to a video game I've ever gotten. They really did good with this game, everything is just so majestic. It's amazing looking back at 2017 at the first trailer and seeing how far this game went. WE ARE IN A NEW ERA OF BAYONETTA

I cried so much at jeannes death. And i am very sad that bayo dies. But i am Looking forward for bayonetta 4!

Small Explanation: It’s confirmed via the in-game skins that Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 are from two completely different timelines. ‘Our’ Bayonetta was not one person, but two separate ones. We’ve played three different timelines of characters, and that’s how the three appeared at the end. Hard to believe that Bayonetta 1 & 2 weren’t the exact same, but it’s true 💜

It honestly was a perfect ending using the multiverse in a really good way, after all the bayonetta’s were released again all theories of Jeanne and Bayo and Luka and Bayo are technically true. I’m glad that they really thought of a way to give us everything

It seems confirmed this was little creza timeline sense we didn’t see Loki or baldur sense , she didn’t fall asleep for 500 years. So bayo 1 and 2 may still be alive. As far as viola I think she’s fine could be better I do think you artificial witch theory was better, and more interesting then what we got but whatever. I think it would have been cool if she was a Female sage instead of another witch just to make violas struggles and enemies more unique from what bayonetta was doing. Also yes Rodin I feel was wasted they teased us in the beginning.

Cereza went to Inferno to save Jeanne's soul. I'm sure Viola can find a way to bring her mom, dad, and auntie Jeanne back. Their time together was too short and it's a very abrupt end to introducing the daughter of our main character. We've also explored the idea of multiple timelines and now in this game multiple universes with their own sets of timelines, so there's hope they'll explore the possibility of a universe and timeline where our Cereza wins and survives. If not, I'm not entirely excited for Bayonetta 4. Cereza has been with us for so long, but with only 3 games with her as the main character But there's also a hint at Cereza and Luka's survival in the end dialogue-- Rodin says "You know. I'm the one who has to hear it from your pops when you decide to turn my place into study hall." That's a sign Viola either got her family back or she's been adopted by a new family while she goes to school. If it's the latter, I'm sure it wasn't easy to find a school or family willing to take in a katana wielding witch with a demon cat that likes to randomly pop out and could be and interesting story to explore. I've grown to love Viola's character, but the time we've spent with her wasn't enough for me (and I'm guessing most of the fanbase) to accept her as the new Bayonetta. She's fun and goofy and (sometimes) fun to play as but I can't see her replacing Cereza as the new Bayonetta and main character of the next installment of the franchise.

Hi Rakunx. Watching your play through has been awesome, it was cool seeing it through someone else’s perspective. Your channel has been such a blessing. I did my own play through when the game first came out a few months back, so it was nice to refresh it. The emotion you had in all this and in all of your lore videos is awe inspiring. Theory, Luka's family might be direct descendants of Queen Mab herself, according to Mab Dachi's description the sword might've picked Viola as the next Heir to Queen Mab's throne, which means Viola is a human Witch Faery.

Did anyone else notice that the cycle happens again Bayonetta lost her mother and father but when on to become a powerful witch and the same happened to viola but Instead viola got to be raised and fight along side her parents am very happy that she is going to be the new main character can’t wait to see what is in store for her.

Ugh. I wish bayonetta was the one saying let's dance boys and slaying with jeanne in the end because like I'm feeling so empty rn. It kinda feels like when they killed off Maya in borderlands and replaced her with ava like I'm feeling a little bit 😭 rn. LIKE MY GIRL JEANNE LITRRSLLY DIED AND SHE CAME BACK TO DISSAPEAR LIKE 😭😭😭😭. IM SO CONFLICTED AND SAD. AND THE LACK OF FLY ME TO THE MOON WAS SO SAD TOO LIKE NOT EVEN A REPRISE?

I think Cereza will come back at some point because something is telling me that this is not the end. So never get disheartened.

I have to agree with you all the way, because I won't be guilt tripped into buying Bayonetta 4 anytime in the future, no matter what those Viola defenders say! I forgot how good they are at putting me to sleep with their "give Viola a chance" pep talk. I ain't giving Viola a goddamn thing. If those Viola defenders expect me to kowtow to their precious heroine and kiss the ground before her boots, they're gonna have to lecture me way harder than that!

They better bring back cereza and Jeanne for bayo 4 or I’ll flip!

I'm gonna be completely honest... the ending ruined the game for me. It felt so disrespectful to kill off Cereza and just force a new protagonist on us. I have a hard time rreplaying the game now bc I just get a sour feeling from the whole thing. If they wanted to end Cereza's story with her dying, this was not the way to do it.

Until the last minute was thinking it's a trolling of platinum games, GOD! And your theories. I was screaming SO HARD seeing your theories coming real! With each chapter the cat caught my tongue. This ending is somewhat similar to devil may cry 5 ending in that Dante and Virgil are stuck in the underworld while Nero lives on in the human world taking over the whole business. Except Dante and Virgil both still are alive, though I guess you can say Luka and Bayo are both technically alive in inferno? Hard to say. I enjoyed the game a lot but I think the story was a bit all over the place which is to be expected with Bayonetta but personally this one just makes it more of a mess.

I don't think they'll be alive for too long. Without her witch powers, Cereza'll just be another soul wondering Inferno until she's consumed by demons. And unlike Jeanne in Bayonetta 2, she doesn't have her Umbran watch anymore. Granted though, Luka's with her. With his new Arch-Adam form, I think he'll stay there for as long as Cereza's soul is intact and keep her safe. It reminds me of what they did for Dracula and Lisa Tepes in the Castlevania anime. Just...really happy and sad at the same time.

A bit over the place is an understatement, no attention to finer details, and it doesn't even have an identity of its own; the story was a composite of references left and right practically all of the time. This game is ment to be enjoyed in a visceral way, not something to be probed for details.

I didn't play DMC5 but, did it have a credit scene where Dante turned into shards and exploded? cuz this game kinda did.

I was at a constant shock stare the entire time when I figured out that Cereza is dead. I have to recover from this. And also I will never accept Viola a brand new character as the new bayonetta like the hell bhvr?... Cereza will be bayonetta forever

When I saw the ending I was like: what if Loki appeares and needs Cereza, then Rodin said that we will get him to Bayo but it is just viola and that Loki needs Bayonetta for sumthin and so Loki and viola team up to save Bayo and Luka form hell😭the only thing I want , is that in Bayo 4 that Luka,Bayo and viola just have a happy life together 😭that’s all I am askin😭

So many things happen and everyone has an opinion and agrees and disagrees with certain plot points, in this cases i hope that the content creators make lore bits clearer so they are easier to digest for all the comunnity ,kinda like the dark souls lore videos from vaaty .

Maaan I cried hard when I played this. Lots of happy tears. So don't you dare think that crying was cringe! It was an epic moment!

Bro. It's ok. It's 3 30 am in Austin TX. And I cane home. And finished the finale with you and I'm crying and have been crying since I saw Jeanee die by Sigard .. uggg and the ending yes ... Bayonetta is the final boss... Haha thanks bro. Tears of joy. Thank you Nintendo. Thank you Platinum... If this is the last game in the series. I can't wait until the next one.

I’m bitter too, but I interpret that the others, including bayonetta from 1 and 2 are fine, so even though Cereza died, I can feel assured by that assumption. After all, she’s too *stubborn* to just die off completely, right? (I hope lol)

Luka and Bayo fighting together, Bayo and the variants fighting together, Bayo and Jeanne fighting together, Bayo and Viola fighting together and Bayo with the Bayo 1 and 2 fighting together in 1, best game everr🔥😱

It was a bittersweet ending, I’m sad our bayo passed on but I’m happy that the legacy is being passed to Viola.

The final episode was amazing! I love so much ALL the ideas and specially the 3 Bayonettas together and merged together! Such a beautiful and awesome moment! All the fights were amazing! The ending was very SAD but GOOD at the same time without spoiling it...Isn't it Rakunx! Haha 😀😉 I'm definately looking forward to have news about Bayonetta 4 which is in developping right now!!!! 😍❤❤❤❤

I know it’s a super hot take: but I actually wouldn’t want Bayonetta and Luka to come back to life. It would make everything about the end of this game meaningless. If they have Viola fight her way through inferno to find them, I’d rather see them tell her that they are not coming back; that they have done enough. It’s Viola’s turn, but they’ll always be with her. Don’t get me wrong, I have complaints about the story myself, but I don’t hate the choice either

I wish people have the option to take off their rose-coloured fanglasses sometimes and see unbalanced fan service when they see it.

My last comment I promise 😂 I actually thought they pulled something like:” wait a minute I’m not gonna die like that” when they were going down to inferno.

The story for me was disappinting. This felt like it was written by someone who didn't understand the characters at all, or proper storytelling in general. And on top of that we don't even know this version of cereza, jeanne, luka or the others, we don't know a single thing from their past, nothing. The only character I cared about in this game at the end of the day was Viola, but only because they let us know about her. Not to mention, Cereza felt so bland and tropy as a character in comparison to Bayonetta, she just doesn't have the charm or strong the personality of the original. My only hope for bayo 4, it's going back to the original universe and pretend this story never happened. The gameplay was fun tho, but the narrative just a pile of garbage.

Yeah no shit. The narrative in Bayonetta 2 was trash too with sub plots we still don't know the answer too. Who da fuck is Alraune and what was her relationship with Butterfly? Why were the demons acting up exactly? Why was Loptr trying to collect the eyes and what was his overall goal? So what's your point? You act like the Bayonetta games have great stories which has never been that important to begin with.

Viola definitely didn't earn the passing of the torch though. She's more of a joke than Enzo even, with no history to tie us to her, and no value in the story outside of exposition she gives in the prologue. The comparisons to Nero are obvious, and even his wielding of the torch is contentious.

@@JuwanBuchanan we could've gotten more context with Alraune, but her rivality with madama is not really that important if you think about it, she just wanted to absorb Jeanne to be become que ruler of inferno, she hating Madama just added a bit more to her character. The game tells you the demon went crazy against witches beause the balance in the world was lost due to the destruction of the right eye after the events of bayo 1 About lopter, you really didn't understand what was his goal? Loki and lopter were once a single a single being, both being half of aesir's soul, loki was just the evil who wanted all his powers back, there's nothing more than that, but that narrative leads to a lot of interesting interaction, bayo and her care for jeanne, loki and how she developed a father-daughter relationship with balder. What was sigurd's goal? destroy all realities except his? but why? his role as a villain was just forced. What was the deal with furry and fairy luka. Why should I care for variants of the main cast when they are not the characters we knew from the first two games?

I'm so glad to finally see someone share my opinion! I also found it so weird that many parts of the story weren't even really explained such as why Luka was a magical being all of the sudden?, what are arch eve's and adam's? and what was sigurd's motive? Bayo 1 & 2 are way better and I'm disappointed :(

Man I just beat the game And I'm still processing the ending. It was beautiful for sure but man it's devastating, I still have lots to do but I feel like I'm gonna play the second game for a while

Hey Rakunx 🙂 That was a great, sad and interesting ending but I definately don't think Brave Cereza is dead, remember, in Bayonetta 2 when Jeanne has been touched by Gomorrah, her soul has been also seperated from her body just like Brave Cereza and Bayonetta saved Jeanne by restoring her soul to her body so maybe in Bayonetta 4 we will play Viola to save Cereza and Luka and they will be alive again. Actually, on the three Bayonetta games, we played a different Bayonetta from a different universe. I don't see a Bayonetta 4 game without Bayonetta/Cereza as a playabe character in it 😉 Bayonetta 4 baby! 😍

There are still so many open questions, like what happened to the multiverses after his defeat or who the heck even summoned the kraken that we fought the first chapter??????? Are all bayos and jeannes now dead in inferno?!?!

While i am and probably be forever sad (not to mention in complete denial) over Cereza’s (not to mention luka and jeanne’s) “death”. Now that I have a slightly clearer mind, passing on the torch to viola makes perfect sense. Cereza had essentially reached the peak of her progression, there really wasn’t any way to move forward with future games with her. And while I am vehemently against killing cereza off, we now have an untested and a little immature Bayonetta who we now get to see progress through her new journey

I mostly hope we play another bayonetta like zhw one from 1 and 2 or viola with her umbra skill advanced

I don't think that Bayonetta and Luka went to Inferno in the end of game because right at the end of the credits because when Bayonetta turns into butterflies they went up not down and if you remember in Bayonetta 2 when boulder disappeared it's similar the same thing that you here Boulder in Bayonetta 1 you're so probably here bayonetta's voice in the viola spin-off

Im happy with ending, cause I think this is a fitting end for little cereza. I think bayo 1 and 2 went back to there worlds. Plus with the multiverse and different timelines there's a timeline where bayo 3 cereza beats Sigurd and survives with Luca and Viola. Bayo 1 is my favorite so I hope my thinking is correct

Obviously we gotta pay respect to the original; and using the old UI touches my heart, but I'm SLIGHTLY irked we didn't play as Bayo2 right between the OG gameplay and the tri-fusion gameplay of that fight.

That was an emotional journey. Really loved everything about the game. The ending was super shocking. Also your videos were great; and will always be great. Best trilogy EVER 💜💜💜💜💜

I have a thought what if in bayonetta 4 viola/bayonetta is a fully pledged umbra witch can dodge activate witch time just like ex-bayonetta but her pact is with madama ceraza and she gets a summonable demon and that demon being luka is his altered form?

I like viola fine but she doesn’t have the campiness of cereza or Jeanne. I’m not sure if she can take up the bayonetta Mantel while preserving the series’ charm. That being said, I do love Cheshire and wish we had gotten to see more of his personality.
