Most of the time some store employees leave out food for people who search dumpsters for food to eat.

I used to separate the good food from the actual trash. I would leave it outside the dumpster for the multiple homeless people I knew came every night. That way they didn't have to get in the dumpster and the food wasn't contaminated. Seems safer in every aspect. My manager found out and I was told if I ever did that again I would be fired. :(

I used to work at Bath and Body Works for over 5 years and the items that you found is actually product that isn’t sellable bc the skus are old. It’s called MOS, I forgot what it stood for exactly but when you scan it at the register it would say MOS. I’m very surprised they threw that stuff away bc we were allowed to hoard MOS product and then when we had enough we would have a MOS sale for employees. It would be like 7 items for $5 or whatever our manager decided the deal would be. He would even do mystery bags. It was fun! Btw I recommend you or anyone not try to return/exchange items like these bc it will look very suspicious on why you have MOS product.

These finds can make great gifts or simply donate to thrift stores. Not sure if America have school fairs (we have them in Australia at some schools to raise money for the school) which would be great for white elephant stores.

@@CheyGrace_ Thanks, I had great managers ❤️ I also just remembered that those fragrance mists were not disposed of properly. They’re supposed to be put in those flammable buckets and then picked up by some professionals. All that alcohol in the trash is a fire hazard.

@@Amanda-qz3zh yeah that’s the number 1 rule that’s one of 20 things that could’ve gotten my last manger fired cause she didn’t care or train people properly my manger before her at my other store was phenomenal but when I had to move states my new manger was trash compared and didn’t care as long as it didn’t involve her she didn’t do anything about anything

MOS means Marked Out of Stock. (no longer available for sale). I still think that if they were just going to throw them away, they should have still destroyed them.

@Homegrown_Values It's not a coincidence that it was all brand new sealed items just tossed out. Very suspicious in my opinion. And you're right they usually send it back to the warehouse on pallets. And how they tried to "cover it up" with all the trash on top. At first I thought they were at least half burnt candles but they've never even been lit. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been wanting to dumpster dive but wen is it good time to do it at wen u won’t get caught by the security guards

When you find the clothes with stains on it like that, soak them in something like mean green overnight and give them a little scrub once in a while. It should take out all the stains. You will have to wash them again to get the mean green smell out though. And you can put a little bit of Dawn dish liquid on the stain itself and give it a scrub before you soak them.

Great score!! With those shirts, if the stain doesn't remove after washing, you could always tye dye them so the stain blends in.

I soak stained clothes in OxiClean overnite, then wash. Usually works. I guess it depends on the stain.

I don't believe any of these stores are private property. It would be weird to have a public store but private dumpster area, I'd think. If they do have a No Tresspassing sign or locks on their dumpsters then yes u shouldn't dive. But every state has its own rules and regulations. 🤷🏻‍♀️

DAMN. Everytime I try Ulta every single cord is cut, 5 Below doesn't seem to throw out anything worthwhile (ONE TIME there was some kind of blanket that looked like it may have been soiled, so I left it), Joann is just a bunch of packing material, and BBW I only found 2 candles and one hand soap (but better than nothing!) Still: you're having incredible luck! lol Hope some of it rubs off on me
