The Elvis Medley (1982)
In the wake of the chart-topping success of the Stars on 45 single "Medley," and made up mostly of soundalike versions of Beatles songs strung together, there was a brief fad for taking actual recordings by popular performers and editing them into a studio-created medley. "The Elvis Medley," which combined excerpts from "Jailhouse Rock," "Teddy Bear," "Hound Dog," "Don't Be Cruel," and "Suspicious Minds" into four minutes with a disco beat added, became a chart entry in November 1982, along with this album, which featured the medley and the full-length versions of the included songs, plus the single's B-side, "Always on My Mind," and two other old hits, "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Hard Headed Woman." Presto! New product.

I have loved Elvis as long as I can remember! Born in 1953, my Parents loved Elvis, so I was always hearing him! I am getting ready to move, went through some old papers and found where I had clipped out artecials from the newspaper when Elvis passed! That was a hard blow!

I was born in July of 77 and I just love Elvis… he is my very favorite after going through….and I don’t like pop garbage…but I grew up on Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Rage Against, Depeche Mode, Beastie Boys, Metallica, whatever…. Elvis is just the most charismatic, most talented
