Words like .... stunning; exquisite; gorgeous; flawless and jaw-dropping don't come close to being adequate in describing just how good your work is, I really enjoyed watching how careful your paring skills are, and I agree with Kevin below, work like this is simply Toolmaking in Wood. You put the world to shame !

I have no idea what the hell this is, but the wood is gorgeous, the work beautiful, and your skills amazing. Whatever it is, it will last for centuries.
You can always tell an artisan by the state of his tools and the quality of his finished joints especially dovetails. You Sir are an artiste in wood, and a pleasure to watch.

Whenever I see one of these "silent" videos I start looking for a foreign language written on something but I get the appeal, Mr. Chickadee style, though he didn't invent it. Nice work piece.
Thanks for not talking us through every step. You just did the work with utmost precision and that spoke volumes. Craftsmen of all types can learn a lot from watching you work.
The complicated Rube Goldberg jig you built just to avoid making hand saw rip cuts for the dovetails was a classic.
You just get my vote. I love it since the first see these video. My deep respect from Jakarta.
Excelent your work!!! Made with passion!!! Congratulations!!!

@@TheWoodCrafter1 And a happy new year to you too. Cheers!
The highest level of work, delightful and extremely rare today: the accuracy of the fit of the journals and holes. Actually, I told it wrong - ALL activities were done with phenomenal care. I did not notice the slightest neglect or even a compromise - quality above all! (Although, maybe you should consider replacing the planer shaft with a spiral one? It seems to be working a bit less then perfect.) All wood crafters apprentices should watch your films many times. Perhaps they would understand what the essence of a really professional wood crafter's job is. Compliments and respect!

Excellent !
The patience required to get to this level. The skills learned the hours burned to perfect these same skills, the drive it took to invest in all of the tooling used, and the drive to learn to use them all to their full potential. This is a project that took 25+ years to build. I really love the use of the machining of the parts for the perfect fit. It seems that it was more for the perfect aesthetic of the finished piece than the function of each joint. I will have to venture out that this man's career is probably tool-making. I have only seen this level of care taken at the tool and die makers.
