Yes. I think you can find high quality lumber in the US but you gotta be in the know. Also he has amazing tools and amazing skills which helps make it look even better. If you gave me that same lumber it would probably end up looking like I bought it at Home Depot fire sale. ;)

I think the Japanese keep all their timber. No exports.
The amount of Experience in his work become visible in how he handles big tools. I’m a furniture maker by trade, and seeing this guy swinging around that huge circle saw is a pleasure

If you retire, please don't stop making these wonderful videos.
There is a religious group here in the United States called the Amish. Their furniture, like yours, is also simple, clean, and beautiful. We also have a saying here, “Happy wife, happy life.” Probably a good thing you made a new bench. Darlington, South Carolina USA
I could watch this guy work all day
If a man promise that he will make something... he will do it. It's not necessery to remind him every few months/years 😁 Nice job as usual
His hand cutting skills are really good
The challenge has been issued people, it’s no big deal to subscribe so let’s do it - subscribed
This guy makes some of the best carpentry videos on KZread. why the hell aren't you subscribed ???
It's honestly kind of insane how much work this man puts into everything. So much attention goes into every single plank of wood.

Emperor Shoyan! Today you asked for subscribers. Today I subscribed. I’m addicted to your content: your craftsmanship, professionalism and patience are rarely found qualities in the 21st century. I discovered your KZread channel around last December while doing research on a variety of topics related to carpentry, hand tools and power tools. My objective is to build a range of simple, furniture with clean lines for home. The furniture must maximize space - nesting desks, tables and benches and discretely hide furniture when not in use during the day. Discovering your KZread channel is dangerously intoxicating. A beginner like me can easily acquire a false sense of confidence after watching you. You make things look so effortless; and that’s the danger. The most talented people, regardless of profession, make the difficult look easy. Think I’ve watched virtually all of your English channel content. Can’t wait for your next video, Emperor, Shoyan! All the best from beautiful Vancouver, Canada!
